Reception staff were lovely and very welcoming, gave us lots of local tips and knowledge to help us enjoy our time in Castellammare del Golfo. The apartment was plenty big enough for the 3 of us, and was tidied daily. Great location, just a short walk into the centre. Would definitely stay again :)

- Locanda Scirocco is located at the heart of Castellamaro del Golfo down town very close to restaurants and shops. Location is excellent - Staff was very friendly and helpful - Home-made breakfast (if you have a sweet tooth, you're going to love their variety of freshly baked cakes) - Reasonable price - Free parking available around the property - I never had a problem to find a parking even though I had to walk a few minutes to the hotel

- Maybe I was very unlucky, there was an Independence day when I arrived on June 3rd and the noise from the streets was very disturbing and lasted until wee hours. Overall, noise from the outside (if you don't get a room facing an inner courtyard)is something to be prepared for (maybe bring ear plugs). That's a flip side of staying in the town center area. - I couldn't open balcony shutters

The person on the reception was nice. It was near to the historical center.

The wall was wet with the old paint coming off it. Made me think about mold. The windows did not protect from the sound of the party going on in the street till midnight.

Very central yet quiet. We visited in December and stayed not in the main building but in a “dipendenza” nearby. Nice big room with a balcony. Good breakfast in the main building.

The room was a bit cold when we arrived (we stayed there in December and the room has no heating). It was fine after we turned on the air conditioning (on heat) but it would have been nice if that had been done for us before we arrived.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was in the average, enough for all the guest and there were different choices between savoury and sweet food. We have also received a little local souvenir - mandarin marmalade - when checking out.

The room was facing the main street and it was extremely noisy. Perhaps the window frames could be improved to avoid too much noise from outside. Generally the building needs maintenance and refurbishment. The bedroom air conditioning and the bathroom extraction vent were also extremely noisy, and the bathroom in general needs some works. The floor was bumped and mouldy, as well as the shower and its walls. The paint in the shower was peeling off. The wall-hung cabinet in the bathroom was falling apart and couldn't put anything on top of it because of this. The outdoor space was dirty, poor attempt of concealing the waste bins behind a sort of balustrade. During check out, we have been asked to give a 10 as minimum score for the stay. Unfortunately this is not the case, as the minuses are way more than the positive aspects.

breakfast was rich and tasty. Very good. The room was on ground flour which was very convinient. The location in the main touristic area, near the old port. Beautiful to go out in the evening. Rosaria was the receptionist . She was very very friendly and helpful. She helped with the parking arrangement and supplied laundery drying equipment,

The only little problem was the shower , the equipment was not stable enough

Great location, a short walk away from everything in Castellammare del Golfo. The managers of the property were flexible and helpful, and they accommodated in a larger room to make space for our child. The breakfast was abundant and good.

We were three in our room (with place for four), but the room had just one chair and in order to sit on the nice balcony, it wasn't very helpful with just one chair available, so we borrowed another one from the halfway. It was ok, just to enjoy the balcony would be nice at least two chairs, three would be better, and those could foldable.
