The beds had wheels unlocked and my father tried to get on the bed, the bed moved and he fell on the floor and broke his leg. The emergency was called and my father was taken by ambulante to the hospital. Is had a surgery yesterday. In the facilities they insist that they will not clarim the insurance and they don’t care about what happend to my father and don’t accept my complaint. It’s unbelievable that Hilton procede this way against all legal safety terms. I would appreciate if you do something about this! This is unacceptable. very spacious, clean accommodation.

If your not a golfer it is a bit remote and you definitely need a car.

Great location for golfers with the villas within a few minutes walk of the clubhouse depending on your villa, or max few minutes drive. Nice swimming facilities and gym, great to have the supermarket nearby and additional Italian restaurant and NOA cafe with the Vilar do Golf resort. Obviously you have the full Quinta do Lago resport at your disposal but most facilities require a drive to get there or minimum 20-30 minute walk if you want to access either the Lake, Campus, Shopping Centre or Beach. We either jumped in the car which then took 5-8 minutes or Uber which was relatively quick and well priced with most drivers actually located around the main QDL resort.

Villas are in need of an upgrade and starting to look tired but I believe there is ongoing work to update and you can book a premium villa which I think have had the updates done.

Excellent location, apartments are well appointed and comfortable.

Reception staff were completely inflexible regarding check in / check out times. On both occasions we had a 5 hour wait between arriving from airport and checking in and checking out and leaving for airport.

Great facilities, quiet location, integrated cafe and restaurant is very convenient. Nice villas. We really appreciated the family accessories free of charge for infants in the villa (baby cots, highchairs, stairs protection barriers)

The house was not properly cleaned, floor was black with stains which was challenging for a family with toddlers. Rest of the house was ok. We had also not such good experience in one of the restaurants, very poor service.

Everything , location , staff it was a fabulous stay .

I have a 4 year-old child, so I loved the fact that the resort has several pools (the inside one was great when it rained) and also has a playground for the kids to play without the adults ever keeping them out of sight. Plus, the presence of the pool staff was definitely a good thing (especially when some people didn't respect the rules of "a quiet place"). The pool bar was excellent and the staff simply adorable and extremely friendly. Even though we had to climb some stairs to reach the villa, its location was very good. Despite have experienced some minor problems with the villa's equipment, the maintenance staff was very efficient and always extremely quick to repair the stuff. As for cleanliness, I just have one word to describe it: FANTASTIC.

The fact that you need to have your own pool towels or pay for those "provided" by the resort is definitely something that I can't understand in a place that is selling a "luxury vacation". I've been in several resorts in Quinta do Lago over the last 20 years and never experienced something like this! When we arrived, the accessibility to the villa was a challenge because we had a lot of bags and more than our share of stairs to climb. Parking the car was also a "not so good" experience due to the lack of parking slots (and we were there in September). The villa was recently renovated, but the closets showed a lot of use (they were clearly left out of the renovation plan) and lacked space to hang clothes or storage most of the things we had (we were 2 adults and one child in a two bedroom villa). As for the kitchen: there were no coffee cups (just 30 ml mugs), and the cutlery set didn't include desert forks, spoons or knives. The check-out was definitely not a good experience in this journey: we had told the front desk that we would try to leave the villa around 10:30 a.m. and at 10:45 someone very rude made a call to the villa and practically kicked us out of there!
