The location was excellent. Only a few steps from "Teatro Juarez". Good size room (for two people) with big couch. Loved the roomy lounge areas. You feel like you're in your own living room. The staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating.

Shower stall was super narrow and the shower door didn't have a proper seal so water seeped through on the floor. And, in addition, the bathroom smelled bad (think mold/sewage); fixtures on sink were loose, baseboards and floors were a bit dingy. Shampoo and soap dispensers did not work properly and took up too much precious room in shower stall. Be sure to have ear plugs in case you get rooms facing the street!

Hotel del Frayle is very charming (a palatial ambiance of Guanajuato's history), extremely central, staff is very friendly and helpful (as pointed out by many others) and reasonably priced, so all in all very much recommended!

It should be pointed out that the hotel has a lots of stairs without elevators, the rooms lack AC (we had a giant fan which was enough in early August but maybe not during proper heat waves) and our room lacked a window (which is maybe not optimal in a city as beautiful as Guanajuato), the overall standard is "rustic" (sockets were few and wonky, safe lacked a lock (?), more subtle lights would've made the rooms about 3x cosier), and the central location is quite loud during weekends/party nights. Nevertheless, a very memorable and magic experience!

Very loud, sounded like people were having a party right outside the room all night long. Dusty rooms. Room was said to have a balcony but did not even have a window.

Too many stairs, rooms very dark, not even hand soap in the bathroom TV control did not work very uncomfortable and small bathroom

it was in the city center next door to the Juarez theatre. stuff was helpful within their limits.

pictures were actually from different types of rooms, so property asked for extra to actually accommodate us at the rooms we were paying for. there were dead cockroaches in the rooms, first room we stayed in had no sound proofing from the rooftop bar next to it. so it was super loud until about 4am. cleaning didn’t have any tools to actually clean carpet floor properly

Old electric installation, outdated bathrooms with fixtures covered in calcium deposits from the hard water, the bathroom smelled bad and you can hear your neighbors breathe. No thanks.

Some equipment was dated,hot water was somtime slow to come, need more lighting and better insonorisation. But minor things compared to the great stay we had

the location is incredible alf block of Guanajuato´s downtown, just walk outside from the hotel and you find right where all the action is.

to much stairs to get to my room, the window view wasn't the best a wasteland right there, over all the room and the hotel is perfect for been in Guanajuato.

you can hear everything the walls are paper thin what really bothered us, we went in without having a reservation (cause sometimes if you book directly they give you a better price than online). the pride online was 575 and the woman on the reception told us 900!! that was not cool!! of course we booked immediately online amd we paid the cheaper price.
