I was asked to go back to the hotel to reconfirm the expiration date of my residence card, even though I told the receptionist I was having lunch, she insisted that I should go back immediately. I rushed back but she told me she just misread the expiration date (my residence card was fine). In the afternoon, I got a phone call from that receptionist again telling me she messed up the coupons she had given us - instead of ¥6,000 for 2 people, she was supposed to give us ¥2,000 only. So she asked us to pay back ¥4,000 in cash and eventually we did it. I didn’t know there’s a difference between the number of coupons for weekdays and weekends. I felt like I was taking the responsibility for the mistakes she had made, twice. Even though the manager gave us the ¥4,000 cash back the next morning, still it was a really really bad experience for me personally :( There was no compensation at all. My time and mood were ruined.

The room was comfy.

The bathroom mirror was horrible.

Close to.Lake Suwa. Next to Katajjura Memorial, and Sennin Spa. 10 minutes walk from Kami Suwa Station. Onsen, natural hot spring bath is excellent.

The room was a corner room with a nice view. The hot spring was bigger than I expected.

The breakfast was not good. Compared to otyher Route Inns, it had a poor variety and was not worth the money. Many trays were empty. Also, for the welcome drink, there was no tea like at other Route Inns we have stayed at.

The hotel is in the middle of the town, and it has nice access to the lake. We were lucky to get the corner room and we got to see the view of the lake from our room. The breakfast was good too, with a number of choice of breads.

Nothing in particular

Nice location, practically in the middle of town. We enjoyed the walk in the nearby park and the fireworks seen from our window. The breakfast is a plus with a variety of food to choose. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Or bathroom was not very clean as the toilet looked used, water spots, and missing towels.

Location was excellent. Room was quiet. I asked for a view of Suwa Lake. The hotel gave me a corner room on 5th floor. (502) Satisfactory view, especially from a side window. Nice sunset!
