Hotel the grand vikalp is a wonderful and well priced, hotel located in gk-1, a safe district in South delhi,
Location is superb with GK1 market just a 10min walk-in!
The hotel room very comfortable - my preference being the street facing room,for there natural light and the street view.
I enjoyed my stay so much! I'll visit again.

Location was good. Staff was ok
As per charges room was very small and simple.
Air conditioner wasn't working properly. There is no selling fan in the room. Mattresses was very uncomfortable.

Nothing.
The rooms are not as shown in the pictures. Th AC wasn't working. Room refrigerator wasn't working. The flush wasn't working. Complimentary water bottles were missing. Staff was just lingering us on every call we made to get the issue resolved. The hotel needs a make over as the pictures seem very very different from what it actually is. I was very disappointed by the experience.

Hygiene... They gave me a "premium room" which didn't look much nice. I shifted to a room the ground floor termed as "deluxe room" ... They towels were really dirty and the amenities weren't there ...
Overall, it was a one time stay and would not recommend nor stay again !!
Instead, Hotel Nuo looks very refined and elegant !!!

the location was clean and safe. and the staff was friendly and helpful.
the room and bathroom were dirty. i had the staff give us new sheets but the bathroom were still dirty. the breakfast was just alright.

Be careful of the ratings you see on booking.com; the service must have changed since the good reviews a few months ago as our experience was completely underwhelming and below mediocre at best.
- The only positive was the location as we were close to the M block shopping market which had most amenities.
- There were also plenty of fantastic restaurants nearby.
- SOME of the staff were polite and proactive in providing good service.
I could write a whole book on the negatives, but here are the main ones:
- They don't accept international credit cards (and this was not specified ANYWHERE before we booked), so literally we got off a 14 hour flight and were told we could not check in. Luckily we had exchanged our currency for some Rupees and were able to check in, but the attitude we got was of complete indifference and rather than work it out we were told to just find another hotel (once again, we were extremely jet lagged, and close to freaking out over this rude treatment). It almost seemed like the individuals working here were not interested in providing customer service or even earn money due to their instant suggestion of just finding another accomodation.
- Hot water was unavailable most of the time and we needed to call the front desk to turn on the boiler every time (that means no hot showers at night)
- A few individuals at the front desk staff were extremely impolite, as mentioned before on our first day when the credit card payment was declined, my family member voiced her frustration to the front desk staff and they had 3 female staff members who just started ignoring her and looking at each other with slight smirking and look of contempt.
- The breakfast was mediocre at best, just similar dishes switched back and forth every 2 days. I do not know who rated this as "good breakfast". The staff service was below par, and I saw multiple people complain about the lack of service and slow service.
- There were no windows in the room we had, so throughout our stay we were stuck in a stuffy environment and even though the hotel has a no smoking policy, at least a couple of nights we were faced with cigarette smell in the room that came from somewhere.
