Lovely private Villa set in a little village. Very clean and comfortable. Easy walk to beach. Owner easy to contact and sorts out issues quickly. Extra touches like daily cleaning and homemade lemon cake on arrival ( lemon tree in garden).

Villa Maruka is a perfekt spot for recreation.

Loved the villa Maruka it had everything we needed especially the outside area so peaceful. We all really enjoyed our stay it was a great base for discovering the island. Sanja is a great host and was quick to assist or help with anything that we asked.

A most beautiful location in the traditional Dalmation village of Mirca, a 15 min walk to the small beach/harbour with a simple beach restaurant. It's important to hire a car as there's so much to see on the island of Brac. Mirca is a 5 min drive from Supetar, the main town on the island. Villa Maruka is exactly as shown in the photos - a fabulous secluded villa with all the amenities you want such as air conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine. The kitchen is small and not so much cupboard space but that didn't matter to us. Gorgeous outside space - pool on the small side but fine for 3 teenagers to mess about in! There are small bottles of toiletries in both bathrooms which is another nice touch. The villa owner, Sanja, is amazing, kind and so helpful. We missed the first ferry from Split to Supetar and she kindly met us at the villa at 10pm with the keys, no problem. She'd prepared some ham, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese with bread for us in case we were hungry - so thoughtful! Her family grow a selection of fruit and vegetables which we ordered for a small charge on the first day and they were really delicious. The best surprise was when Sanja appeared with a birthday cake for our son on the morning of his birthday - totally out of the goodness of her heart. (I'd asked her where I could find candles - non in the major supermarkets). We ordered some family pressed olive oil to take back to the UK which Sanja wrapped up so nicely so it would travel well in our suitcases. We kept in touch by 'WhatsApp' throughout the week and Sanja immediately responded to questions about places to hire water-sports, best places to eat etc. There's a village shop just 5 mins walk from Villa Maruka which sells everything you need.

The only problem we found was getting the ferry from Split to Supetar and back again on a Saturday in August - very busy. Easier to come as a foot passenger and hire a car on the island. The village of Mirca is a small traditional village in the part where the villa is. We loved this as it felt we were immersed in Croatian culture but someone else might feel it's a bit isolated.
