Extraordinary old castle with beautiful garden and picocks. From eighteenth century, perfectly maintained by the owner, who is a charming and very friendly person. He was ready to answer all our questions and he gave us a lot of useful advice.

the chateau like mansion is an exceptional location. Furthermore, Bernard, our host, is an exceptional person who loves by heart what he’s doing. Taking super care that his guests are 150% happy and enjoying their stay to the utmost. The room (and the bathroom) had been marvellous and the awesome breakfast is served in a separate hall on a big table with all guests together and I truly believe the queen is not served any better! Will be back one day for sure!!

we where for only one night and we will remember it always, if you want to be a king for a day this is the place to stay. the breakfast was a unique experience, but I don't want to spoil it, so I want tell you why 😜

it was gorgeous, pristinely elegant. the room was perfect, the grounds were elegant and the breakfast was wonderful. the owners thought of every little detail to make our stay perfect. the peacocks were just icing on the cake.

The room we were given had a door access to the next one which was fine but it is just a little unsettling as it was not lockable from our side also and we found ourselves creeping about as the slightest noise could be heard from said next room but to be clear not a major issue and it did not spoil our stay. Bernard the host was very very helpful and pleasant. Would stay there again

the property is stunning. it felt like we were staying in a genuine 18th century chateaux, very close to as it was then. the further from a chain hotel you can imagine. a real privilege.

The property was spectacular; peacocks roamed around the gardens and you could see Mont St Michel from the backyard. Inside, you felt like royalty in gorgeous rooms with comfy beds and furniture from the 16th century. The breakfast was in the fancy dining room with so much to choose from we couldn’t even fit it all in our bellies. And to top all this off, our hosts were amazing - greeted us with a tour and cider to start the evening. What an amazing experience!!

Bernard was a wonderful host attending to every detail! The morning breakfast was wonderful! The restaurant he recommended for dinner was excellent! The room was extremely clean!

Chateau de Chantore is literally a piece of heaven on earth. I was so moved by the beauty of the place and the nature surrounding it. The attention to detail in the chateau is impeccable, from the rooms to the breakfast to the landscape, everything is perfect. Bernard is the heart and soul of this place, his energy and passion is so beautiful, he made our stay that more special special. I highly recommend Chateau de Chantore to each person looking for a beautiful and special escape.

Everything was a fairytale; from the arrival welcome with glass of cider made at the castle, to the beautiful authentic decor, comfort and wonderful breakfast spread served with fancy tableware. An fairytale experience in this beautiful chateau! Bernard is definitely the best host we have ever met in France. Super welcoming, kind and full of brilliant recommendations for the area. The Château is surrounded by magnificent views, the rooms are stunningly decorated. Breakfast is very generous. This place well deserves the highest rating!

My wife and I loved Château de Chantore, the hosts went out of their way to ensure our trip was as enjoyable and went as smoothly as possible, even booking our evening restaurants for us as our French leaves a lot to be desired. Bernard you have our sincere thanks.

Stunning property, beautiful grounds and perfect service from a really lovely host and owner Bernard. Oval suite was outstanding with views over the gardens, and the breakfast was also faultless! Will definitely be back!
