Ce motel mériterait le nom de Musée. On se trouve dans les années 60: les meubles, la cuisine, le lavabo, les luminaires, tout est depoque et dans un très bon état. Et tout est très propre, bien sûr. Nous avons beaucoup aimé. Endroit calme et proche du centre.

Cost and location

Blankets could do with an upgrade as most of us are allergic to the old woollen blankets

The place is outdated and needs a revamp. No microwave, paint coming off the ceiling, chairs needed replacing, draft coming through door and windows. Not worth the money charged.

Comfortable, well facilitated older property adjacent to the river on the way to Kauri Forrest. Fabulous interaction with the proprietor, so helpful and eager to please. Parking at the door. Short drive to shopping and restaurants.

It was as advertised. Nothing special but did what was required. Manager was extremely helpful.

Location and ease of check in and instructions. The motel itself was clean. The shower was great, and hot water was continuous. Overall everything you need for a quick nights sleep. Location was good too.

Dated decor and appliances, smelled musty when checking in and no heating other than a small fan heater, and was quite noisy due to a dog barking. Take your own pillow.

It was all old fashioned. The bed was old and bouncy so I did not sleep well. The bathroom and kitchen floor was sticky, maybe from cleaning product not being rinsed properly. The TV didn't work properly. The towels were old and not soft. An old fan heater was the only heating for a cold wet day.

Decided to stay somewhere else with a fridge in our room

Location was good staff were fine.

Straight back to the 70s very old decor including stainless steel sink. First motel I have ever stayed in that does not have a microwave in the room.

The concierge was welcoming. Clean, spacious room, Walking distance to retail and dining options.

The décor was very dated. The internet was unreliable in one of the rooms.

I liked that it was quiet. And the rooms are huge. Alan was grumpy that we arrived late, but the following day he was really quite a pleasant happy guy. Thank you Alan. Appreciate the stay.
