Good location.
Queen studio didn’t look as good as the photos. The door lock was faulty and took multiple tries to get it to work. Manager was no help. Kitchenette smallest space possible. Microwave didn’t work .

Room was above reception so a little noisy. Figuring out TV was complicated for no real reason . Needs a UX overhaul

We didn’t know what to expect but overall we were very pleased with our stay at Dolphin Motel.
The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly.
Parts of Paihia are very hilly, however, this motel is located on the flatter part of the town and it’s only a few minutes walk from the main town centre.
Our two bedroom apartment in the new wing was nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms and bathroom were a good size too.
In both bedrooms, there is only one clothes stand per room for handing a few clothes, no other storage is provided. This is acceptable for a short stay.

I rarely give comments, but for this one, I have to say something.
I think we were staying at the old building/motel side. We stayed in a family suite with two bedrooms for two nights for $640. The bedrooms were freezing and had no heater and not enough quilts and blankets. The blankets they had were old/ blots and smelly ( All the bedding is very old ).
We didn't have much sleep for the first night as it was too cold. The second night, they only can give us one little fan heater as someone else may be needed too; it was noisy. I had to up a few times to move the heater around for the kids between rooms...
No room service, ants and cockroaches were over the kitchen.
NO staff at the reception, need to call to communicate. only saw staff when we checkout.

The motel has very good facilities, and is very well maintained. Modern, clean and up to date. It is very well located, a couple of minutes walk away from the foreshore and all amenities. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

awesome location, nice big rooms, comfy bed and lovely shower, receptionist was easy going and let us leave car parked there once we had checked out.
the only fault is the room needed a mop, several very sticky patches on the floor

how close it was to township
it was very dirty , surfaces weren’t cleaned nothing looked wiped down , my family and I were very disappointed and were about to vacate the property the smell was that bad of musk and damp , we had bugs crawling around in different places of the place

Great location close to eateries and supermarket
Should change flooring on entrance. It was raining while we stayed and our 2 yr old kept sliping on tiles around the door. Or have a carpet matt around the door.

Why have a reception when you don't have anyone working in it? Went to check in at reception & no one working in it. Even had a bell to ring for assistance. Can you email customers the check in process? Not hard.

Great location, 5mins drive to centre. You could actually from the motel to centre. Accomodating and friendly staff. Organised with the online booking. comfortable and clean room and toilet. New furniture and appliances and utenstils.

Its not a biggie but our towels wasnt changed after 2nd day as per motel policy.

We have been allocated in the new building so all the indoor setting are new. It's cozy and nice.
I understand we need to keep the room reasonably tidy. But many rules sticking on the wall.
Esp. the one saying we need to wash and put way all used dishes...... I feel like I just moved to a different places to do my housework. And I would worried that all the cups and dishes are not sterilized.

The location is great, just a short walk to village and wharf.
Bathroom had mould on the ceiling and in the shower. Behind the toilet was filthy and mould on the wall. No cereal plates, no egg slice. The barstools were broken and very rusty bottoms.
No one at reception to greet us, just a note on the door saying which unit we were in. Rooms not serviced daily.
