My husband and I had the nicest 4 day visit to Leyenda. No it’s not close to beach but the shuttle to and from Carrillo beach is great, we had a rental car so we typically came and went. Also we simply loved the customer service. The wait staff was very attentive and efficient. My personal favourites were Lizeth, Kellyn and Marbeth. Ladies we can’t thank you enough along with Henry and the front desk attendants. The pool was cool amd refreshing while the poolside very comfortable.

after the 2nd morning I was tired of the breakfast. A little change up and perhaps cheese and alternative milk would have been amazing. I just bought cheese and coconut milk to have w breakfast.

My 13 year old son called it "paradise". The meals were great and the staff very accommodating. The pool was beautiful and the grounds so lush. We would go back in a heart beat!!

Hotel Leyenda is close to Playa Carillo, which is a quieter and much more beautiful beach than Playa Samara. It felt like we had the beach to ourselves at times! The hotel did shuttles to and from the beach any time of the day and had a great setup with complementary deck chairs and access to a clean toilet/ shower at the beach. Denis was very friendly and helpful, and the guys in the restaurant were great - we felt very looked after! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a great beach hotel in Costa Rica.

The hotel is a bit far from the beach, but the shuttle is a great service. the sun beds at the beach are a bit old and could be replaced, however, having the possibility to use beds was just great. the hotel itself was amazing, the staff was very friendly, room was very clean and the food excellent. we hope to be back again soon.

Breakfast was a good start to the day! The shuttle they have to the beach and the beach shower exclusive to their customers was an unexpected perk! The food here was great! Best Tuna Tarter I have had in a very long time! The grounds and pools are beautiful and very well maintained. The people here however are the star of the show! They were great at trying to help us plan our day trips and future travels and were there for us for everything, they were great from start to finish and everywhere in between!

I hate putting anything here as everything was great and as expected or better than expected! Leyenda, is a bit out of town, Samara, so if you are looking for crowds, parties, bars it is about a 10 minute drive or taxi ride. Again not an issue but rather a plus for us.

Great hotel, would highly recommend.

Lounge chair we’re very uncomfortable

staff very welcoming and professional. pool area and pool bar was really nice and the park area for our young son. rooms were very comfortable. we were only passing through the area otherwise would have stayed longer but would definitely recommend this hotel. excellent value for money.

Trailer on the beach with bathroom and showers is a genius idea. Staff is great, restaurant is amazing.

I liked everything

The breakfast was a choice from different menus and lots of vegetables and coffee / hot chocolate etc.

Make sure not to loose the beach towels as it is really expensive. Better don't use them but use your own ones. The food in the hotel is quite expensive.

beautiful property, pool and rooms restaurant had excellent food

our one main challenge everywhere we travel is the kids meals. Can your restaurant consider small plates of steak and fish like the adult meals (not only fish and chicken fingers?) We also did not know from the Booking.com reservation that the room we booked would be above the restaurant - this location was noisy and the least desirable room on the property even with the view from the second floor

Really fantastic stay! Relaxing environment, large, clean pool and rooms, tasty food and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Clean, spacious for our family, delicious food, extremely friendly staff! The details made a big difference! From books to borrow to clubhouse to hang, everything was fun. Only a short drive away from turtle nests!

Nothing to complain about, loved it!

Nice pool, very nice hotel, delicious breakfast and dinner is also more than good. To get to Samara beach etc. you need a car but that is it worth to stay here.
