Booked a night for my niece to stay at Eden Mar . She had a lovely time . Beautiful gardens, lots of swimming pools , friendly staff can’t fault it .

Lovely gardens and pool area. Great food and staff. We found it a really relaxing place to stay and would come back .

The hotel was excellent had lots of facilities being part of the PortoBay resort. Staff were super friendly and very efficient, everything was clean and well maintained. The location was also great in the Lido area, would highly recommend.

Nothing to dislike really, the bathroom in the suite could do with being updated but it was clean and tidy so not a deal breaker at all for us.

Good Location

Hotel is out dated and needs major renovation. I was checked-in to a very a noisy room, AC was making noises the hotel night, it felt like the next door neighbor was taking a shower in our room. I was moved to a better room the second night. but wasn't a pleasant stay overall.

Great breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Lots of sunshine - what more could we need.

I think the bathrooms will be in need of a makeover soon.

For breakfast there was an option of two restaurants. Eden Mar's Alfama restaurant was small and cosy, with opportuntiy to sit outside if we wanted. It was really nice. The lady cleaner made up our room every morning while we were at breakfast - we tipped her at the end of the week as she had been outstanding. We had one evening meal in the Alfama restaurant. The food was superb and the restaurant manager and lead waitress were very friendly and efficient. It wasn't hot during our February stay, but we did spend one morning in the swimming pool and jacuzzi - very nice.

This was our fault. We got a taxi from the airport and were charged 55 euros. The hotel taxi offered us 39 euros so we should have taken it. However, we did take it on the way back - so there was nothing not to like in this hotel.

The garden is super. Breakfast is of great choice.

The furniture in the living area of the suite is old fashioned and used.

Breakfast was a buffet selection which was good and offered a variety of continental and cooked food, fresh fruit and cereal. Staff were friendly and helpful

we loved the views, the peacefulness, the gardens, the atmosphere. everything was perfect.

Very spacious rooms with a beautiful view over the Atlantic Ocean, comfortable and large beds, powerful shower with very good quality amenities provided. Pool area and surrounding gardens proved to be a very calming environment. Bartenders all knowledgeable, smiling and provided wonderful service.

Wi-Fi was weak in certain points of the room (kitchenette and bathroom). Ant infestation towards the end of my stay that was not dealt with despite two calls to receptions- I had to deal with this myself and they kept returning despite no food being left out. Only soft drinks available through room service.

Location was ok, walking distance to city centre and lot's of restaurants on the area. Garden and pool were nice, but unfortunately it rained all the time, so not much use for these.

Rooms and hotel is a bit outdated and old fashioned. Service at the reception was not very welcoming. Nothing special, big chain hotel. Based on the review ratings, I was expecting more. Fruits at the beakfast was mostly from cans.
