The décor and ambience of the main rooms in the palace were gorgeous

Monica greeted us and was fabulous. She gave us a tour of the house, the grounds, and the chocolate factory, where Sara was making the chocolates.

Wish we had more time in Mont e mor.

Parking available just outside the hotel in the square adjacent. Staff were fabulous, very attentive, impeccable, the history of the building was explained and a tour of the chocolate factory. Amazing breakfast, nothing was too much trouble, couldn’t have wished for anything else. The room was very modern and tasteful with beautiful bed linen, robes, towels, toiletries. Afternoon tea/wine, tapas, cakes in the garden was a lovely touch. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Only slight negative for me is that our room was a little dark, black toilet in a dark brown room was interesting, but that’s just a personal taste issue on my part.

The outdoor pool and garden area. The staff was helpful. Very clean and organized.

Very smelly room. It smelled moist and moldy. Maybe it’s the language difference, I find some of the main staff’s comments a bit passive aggressive.

Attentful service of Sara

Location, noise of building works next to the house, lack of toiletpaper, showergel (we had to ask two times in 3 days) , no telephone in the room (king suite!), water ballet after showering, busy street in front of house, 4 sunbeds for all the guests, total disbalance price/quality.

Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Tour of chocolate factory with tastings. Delicious complimentary late afternoon tea with homemade scones and cake.

Loved everything

For the one that wishes to feel at home (and your home is a palace :) that "by the way" produces chocolate). The staff is just great and fall "within that perfect mix" of always present but "oh so discrete". Longing by the pool in a hot Alentejo day is a must... Or the breakfast... Or the chocolate... Or the food... Or... A must go

Great location! The hotel is located in the centre of Montemor-O-Novo. Beautiful Suite-like Room! Parking for our motorbikes was perfect behind a fence, but also for cars there is ample parking . Great Breakfast and friendly staff. For entertainment there is a TV-room and Pool table

The staff and owner were very very kind and friendly! And the breakfast unbelievable with fresh baked bread and a great honey and nuts cake! ;) It's a lovely palace! The explanation about the history of the palace was so nice and the visit to the chocolate factory even better! Don't forget to buy some chocolates when checking out, they are really great!

Beautiful building with very interesting unique rooms. Excellent breakfast and dinner.
