it was fantastic

The hostel is located in a pretty old building. The shared dorms are located on the 2nd floor without a lift. But I had booked a private room which is located on the 5th floor of the same building, but it had a different entrance. This was basically an apartment with 4 rooms and a shared bathroom and kitchen. The apartment seemed to be recently renovated and hence was in a good condition. The room was pretty basic and should have been cleaner. The location of the hostel is a big plus point as it's just a few minutes walk away from all major attractions.

We reached the hotel around the check-in time which was at 2 PM but still had to wait for 45 minutes as the room was still being cleaned. The 4 shared rooms shared a single bathroom and 2 toilets. Given the fact that the other two rooms had triple and quadruple occupancy, the bathroom was a bottleneck. The cleanliness of the bed linen could be better. Poor ventilation in the room.

I was pleasantly surprise by the warmth of the staff and by the commodities in the room

Probably the kindest staff I have ever interacted with. Exceptionaly amazing in giving tips for an enjoyable experience. I felt at home from the second I arrived. Thank you again for the experience.

The staff is amazing and friendly, they provided us with all the necessary informations and a guide to the city. Their recommandations are accurate. The property is nice and clean, very well located, easy access to different attractions. The private room we booked is very spacious and had all the necessary amenities.

Breakfast is self service but do not expect anything wow.

It's understandable no many bathrooms because it's an old building.

Ostellin is not just a hostel, it's home. From the common areas to the staff, it all points to a warm welcome. The location is also perfect for exploring both the center and the wonderful Cinque Terre. Absolutely recommended.

I often stay here, as it's so perfectly located, but most of all I find the staff really friendly and helpful. There's always a very good atmosphere. It's comfortable and quiet, with a good kitchen for when you want to cook. The beds are very comfortable and it is so quiet, I even slept so well that I late too, which is very rare for me. Really nice.

The dorms are quite close to the reception/living room area, so occasionally it can be a little noisy (a guy was playing his guitar and singing), but the rules are for quiet after 11pm and this was kept to. So it wasn't a problem.

Nice laid-back and not really pretentious hostel. Good beds, free coffee and tea.

Kitchen is a bit rundown and it's not exactly the cleanest place to stay but it's ok.

Very nice hostel, ideally situated in the centre of Genova. It has a very cosy atmosphere and it's clean! I had such a great time, so thank you to the staff, and also enjoyable talks with other guests!

Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is very central. The building has an elevator. There is coffee and snacks available for free.

We booked a private room thinking the bathroom was attached, as it is the main picture. But unfortunately, this was not the case, and we ended up having to share a bathroom with 3 other rooms, so 12 people... Our neighbors seemed to have the same issue. Sadly, our room was also extremely dirty and dusty. The staff took 2 nights before moving us or simply coming to clean the room. And finally, it was simply impossible to sleep as the sound isolation is just too bad. Some of the staff seemed to be understanding and willing to help, but we ended up on a very uncomfortable exchange with Giulio accusing us of "blackmail"... This is simply not the professionalism that is expected.

Super nice, comfortable and friendly hostel. Location is super good. Bed was comfy. Breakfast included. Nice common area.

The only very small thing is that there are stairs to reach the hostel ( not very long)

The staff is super friendly! The building is amazing and very comfortable. I also definitely recommend the Spyros tour, just ask the reception about it!
