Best location in the Gap , at the end of the busy zone yet part of it. We love it so much we are thinking of rebooking for next winter .

Everything and everyone were absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed this location so much we only went to another beach once. This is our third trip to Barbados and I believe we found the perfect spot!

We were greeted with warmth and expertise upon arrival, introduced to our new surroundings and within minutes we were on the beach relishing in the beautiful sunshine and island culture. The condo has all that is needed for your stay... warm decor, all amenities that one can imagine, easy access to restaurants, shopping and entertainment, convenience store across the street and a grocery store within a 20 minute walk or 10 min bus ride. I would like to start my review by thanking Alan and Vanessa for being a pleasure to deal with from the beginning. You have been so helpful, always responded quickly with any questions, and made the process so easy for us. Onto the villa. What can I say, it is absolutely perfect!! The moment we arrived, we were greeted by Cyrus who gave us a tour of the property and all of the features and amenities of the villa. It is a very safe building and I found it to be very quiet. The villa has everything you could need, it was like a home away from home. The huge balcony was great for relaxing and having meals, the bedroom was very nice with plenty of linens, and overall just a lovely place. The villa is situated in a perfect location, as there are many restaurants, bars, & beaches all within walking distance. I'm sure there are things that I am forgetting to mention, but this place truly deserves a 5 Star Rating!! I cannot thank Alan and Vanessa enough. My daughter and I recently stayed in Vanessa and Alan's AMAZING condo. We go to Barbados every year and this is the first time we have stayed near St. Lawrence Gap. I wish we had sooner! We had to book last minute and everything went off without a hitch. Vanessa and Alan hooked us up with the Gabriele and Cyrus the property managers and everything fell into place. We were met on arrive at the building by Cyrus and were taken to our Villa and shown around and how to use all the appliance, etc The listing and the pictures for this condo were very accurate. The unit was in immaculate condition and very nicely decorated and well appointed with homewares/crockery/bed linens and towels. The quality of all the items were excellent. The entire condo property is well maintained with very attractive trees, plants and flowers. A security guard monitored the premises. The pool area is lovely and the small well shaded beach with palm trees was like paradise. We arranged with the grounds maintenance/keeper chap to have our beach loungers brought out to the beach every morning and put away at the end of the day. He was extremely reliable and friendly, the chairs were out on the beach nice and early to accommodate 2 early birds. The location of the building is great. We were in walking distance to many wonderful eateries (both casual and formal). The locals at Scoupy's Jazz bar were were friendly/informative and great Bajan fish cakes . There was a well stocked convenience store very close by also. We have absolutely no complaints about this villa, building or the owners/staff. We received excellent customer service all around. I would recommend this unit to to all my family and friends (and strangers for that matter). I look forward to a future stay at Vanessa and Alan's villa.

We loved this place and it's location. Many fine and casual restaurants within walking distance. We were please to find nightly entertainment (Scoopies) a short stroll away. During our one week stay we only rented a car for 2 days which was perfect. Since our visit included the Christmas holidays we gave Alan and Vanessa a list of breakfast items we wished to have stocked in the fridge. We were pleased to see all the items stocked which help make our Christmas breakfast wonderful. Our friends rented another one bedroom unit within the White Sands Beach Resort that was also lovely but we truly preferred our balcony which had a very comfortable table and chairs, perfect for breakfast or cocktails with our friends. The owners, Alan and Vanessa were great and always quickly responded to any questions we might have. Once we made our deposit they sent a very thorough printout of information on the island that included many restaurants and activities to enjoy. We used their references many times throughout our stay. The queen sized bed was very comfortable. Towels and bed linens were generous and high quality. The unit also had a safe which was very handy for storing our valuables. When we arrived Christmas Eve we were met by Cyrus (always available condo manager) who was also hosting a Christmas celebration for the guests. It was a perfect way to begin our vacation:)

We can't compliment you enough on your lovely Villa It was absolutely perfect from the beautiful location right down to having everything ( even a flask ) in the villa It truly made our holiday staying there. We saw lots of baby turtles hatching most nights also the mum coming on the beach to lay her eggs right by Tyrones Bar was amazing !! Still feeling a bit tired after the travelling but we had a lovely chill out time there. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful villa it's everything you say if not more. Will be recommending to everyone who will listen

Having normally just holidayed on the west coast of Barbados in the past,we decided to spend 5 days at the Gap as well this time and chose to stay at Alan and Vanessas villa. I can only say that this villa is everything described and more! As it is the owners second home you will want for nothing there as it is superbly equipped for every need. It is clean comfortable and very peaceful. We had friends over for the day whilst there so the second bathroom was a big plus and so were all the piles of extra towels and beach towels! The input and info from the owners from the first enquiry onwards was first class. Also a big plus for us was that the villa is superbly managed by an onsite manager and security there was second to none! The Gap being so different from the west coast it was nice to get back to a peaceful location but still only have a 15min walk back to the villa. After having eaten at The Lone Star and The Beach House etc. we can honestly say the food was far better in The Gap - Harlequin and Pisces being top notch! If you book this villa you will not have a worry in the world and will be so spoilt-it is just there to be enjoyed. Our very grateful thanks to Alan and Vanessa for letting us stay there.

We stayed at Villa M - White Sands Beach Villas for our 10 day honeymoon in March 2012. Both the Villa and the surrounding areas were perfect and everything we could have wished for from our holiday accommodation. The Villa itself was clean and tidy with top appliances and provided plenty of living space for us - it really was a home away from home! The surrounding areas of the underground car park, pool area/ gardens and the main lobby were also perfectly maintained and the staff on hand at WSB Villas were also extremely friendly and welcoming and helped us out with any enquiries throughout our stay. The sandy beach at the front of the property was amazing and one of nicest looking beaches we found throughout the island. It was always very quiet and at low tide we were able to walk around to the busier Dover Beach with a host of water-sports on offer as well as bars and stalls. Alan and Vanessa were a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process. They were prompt to respond to our initial enquiries and got straight back to us to confirm any payments we made and provided us with a receipt. We were also given detailed information on their property and the local area including things to do and see on the island and recommendations on restaurants from previous guests. We found these most helpful they and enabled us to get the most out stay especially having never been to Barbados before. Overall our stay at Villa M was amazing thanks to the information provided by Alan and Vanessa and their wonderful property. We would highly recommend this property and the local area of St Lawrence Gap.

It feels very welcoming & were greeted by Gabrielle who showed us round & explained everything we needed. After a long days travelling we very quickly felt relaxed & ready to enjoy our week ahead. Alan & Vanessa were excellent right from the initial booking & provided all the details we needed prior to arrival. A real pleasure to deal with. We knew the 'Gap' area well as we have been three times previously to hotels but this time wanted to go independent. The villa has everything one could wish for. It really was home from home with everything we needed & with a location close to local shops & restaurants & the quiet beach just outside the door what more could we ask. For us we wanted a relaxing week in the sun on a nice beach in quality accommodation in a quiet location & we found everything we were looking for. The locals are great people, always willing to chat & the service in the restaurants is very good with a variety, types & price ranges to suit all pockets. We were very glad that the owners (Alan and Vanessa) were able to accommodate us with such short notice, with such friendly and efficient service! First of all the the apartment are located on St Lawrance Gap, which is makes it ideally situated for all the local amenities and the beautiful idyllic beach. Being in the heart of the Gap, one would expect there to be a certain amount of ambient noise at night, but I can honestly say that this is not so! Many an hour we stood at the balcony absorbing the beautiful scenery totally undisturbed! The apartment is beautiful and tastefully furnished with an array of Georgian furniture, and really adds to the romantic feel to the place. Having stayed in a range of properties on the island, this apartment has a real boutique feel to it. The kitchen is very modern, and has beautiful SMEG appliances, which were an absolute joy to use! Alan and Vanessa have thought of everything one would need to use on a self catering holiday and were not wanting for anything. The bedroom is tastefully furnished, and feels very romantic...the bed is the most comfortable that I have slept in for a while, as a confirmed insomniac that is saying something! There are two lovely bathrooms to use, and all towels are provided. The balcony is the crowning glory of the apartments, with a beautiful view and the wonderful furniture. As I said before we had spent many an hour just relaxing on the balcony just watching the world go by. Gabriel who manages the apartment is so unbelievably helpful, and I can't thank her enough for all her help and local knowledge, which really helped to make a fantastic stay even better! Thank you Alan and Vanessa for a fabulous couple of days, and we look forward to returning but staying for much longer next time.

The shop across the road has most things. We had lunch from Scotties (below apartments) and took it on the beach. You have to queue from 12.30pm as its where the locals go, but it is a very efficient,very local takeaway.The bar on the beach was a hub bub of people at sundown. We got a taxi (easy) to Oistins on the Friday night. We loved the reataurants, Davids place and Harlequin-both walkable. We were able also able to get a bus to Bridgetown. The security system for the aprtments is very good without being intrusive,We felt totally safe at all times in The Gap. What wonderful people. I cannot recommend this lovely place highly enough.

Regarding the location, our favourite haunts were: Pisces (one of the best fish restaurants I have been to anywhere), Harlequin (a little bit different and good food at a good price) Sweet Potatoes ( good basic chow, we thought this was likely authentic) Steakhouse grill (friendly, cheap and just the job when all you want is a beer and a pizza) Southern Palms for lunch ( The Sunday brunch was good but great for lunch in general) The Saturday barbecue at Tyrones next door was outstanding as was Oistins fish fry on a Friday night J Cools bar on the beach is a riot …. He plays great music. We loved shopping in the Dover Market over the road … for essentials and the take away food. We bought fish in Oistins and cooked that also. The pictures do not do it justice, it was a real home from home holiday, the facilities and comfort were superb from the elegant lounge to the comfy loungers on the balcony, great after a hard day on the beach!! The apartment block is beautifully maintained and all the staff are most helpful and friendly, any minor problems were quickly resolved by Gabriele, who as the property manager is a real star. The location of the apartment was really one of the best areas we saw on our travels around Barbados, with some of the best beaches and restaurants all within walking distance, these options are rarely available elsewhere on the island. We particularly enjoyed Dover Beach and the friendly beach team there, the village like feel of the Gap and the great choice of restaurants, we loved Joseph's and the Ship although they are quite different styles of dining. Although the locals in the bars close to WSB at first seem slightly intimidating in the bars near to WSB, they are all very friendly and particularly polite and you soon make great friends and return their banter. I have just returned from a wonderful fortnight at Villa M. The villa is beautiful and exactly as described. The furnishings and fittings are gorgeous and we did not want for anything during our stay. The modern well equipped kitchen has large fridge/freezer and easy to use facilities - we could comfortably opt for dining and drinking on the fab terrace. The apartment building is well maintained, with Gabrielle on hand for any queries. There is security throughout the night and Melvin takes great care of the beach and gardens. We found the other owners and guests very friendly and there is certainly a lovely atmosphere about the place. Vanessa and Alan were extremely helpful throughout. Their factsheet about the island and The Gap was spot on and clearly demonstrates their love of the island. In addition there are some very good guidebooks available for your use at Villa M, as well as internet access and telephone for local calls. In short, a real home from home and I would not at all hesitate to book a second visit. The Gap is a fab place to be, whether you enjoy fine dining, a welcoming bar or simply watching the moonlight play on the waves at night on the beautiful White Sands Beach. Whilst we visited a number of different venues, The Ship was a favourite for the relaxed atmosphere and food. The real gem however is Tyrone's bar at the Salt Ash apartments right on the beach and next door to WSB villas. Their rum punch is superb and tastes all the better with the sight and sound of the waves crashing just in front of you. We went further afield by car to visit the Flower Forest, Andromeda Botanical Gardens and Bathsheba - a truly stunning part of the island and a must for any visitor to Barbados. As is the Fish Fry at Oistins (words cannot describe - go and visit!). I could go on and on, but will finish with the highlights. We will never forget lazy days of sunrise swims at Dover Beach, breakfast with Euralene and Mitch at the Happy Days Cafe (Chattel Village), soaking up the sun by the pool at WSB Villas, chatting with the locals at Scotties, aperitifs on the terrace at Villa M, followed by a delicious meal of flying fish, king fish, dolphin (not flipper) or mahi mahi cooked the Bajan way, and a final rum punch at Tyrone's. I had some great company of course, but all my thanks go to Vanessa and Alan for making it possible. It was the perfect holiday and Villa M really made it special and was the perfect base from which to enjoy it. V x
