The place is perfect. We had an amazing sea view. The swimming pool was clean and there were not so many people. The beach is just next to the swimming pool. The owner and the staff were very friendly.

The hot water in the shower changed every 5 seconds from ice to warm to boiling - it was very difficult to take a shower. This needs to be fixed as it was very uncomfortable during the whole week. The electric cooker was very old and did not work very well. The kitchen could be equipped better. If you fix these two things, you will be a paradise on Earth :-)

The air conditioner remote control and kitchen knife must be requested separately. 1 bar of soap for 2 nights for 5 people :) All plates were different :) Very economical environment.

The location of the property was fantastic with our room 30 metres from the beach and the view from the balcony was superb overlooking the beach which was great to watch the sunset from. The property is only a 10 minute walk to the main street of Malia for bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.

The location is perfect, directly at the beach with a pool. It's a family hotel, they always tried to give their best. I can highly recommend it. Also the location is in one of the best areas of Malia.

The manager was very friendly and took care of our requests and wishes. The hotel is located right at the beach, at the part that is least crowded. Only 5-10 minute walk to Malia centre. Would recommend.

Simple. Clean. We had a pool/sea view. Juice from the bar was very nice and refreshing. Owner arranged a taxi for us to drop us at the bus station. Very nice relaxing atmosphere.

This is the best hotel we stayed at during our 2 week trip on Crete :) The hosts were the most helpful and kind people ever. They made us feel like we were home. Room had a great view-l (sea/pool), super clean and spacious. We never used A/C to be able to listen the waves (so cool and relaxing to fall asleep with) Beach bar was great and I had the best Cappuccino there :) The whole stay was just amazing- we came back there after couple of days, we liked it that much. We travelled as a family of four (two older teenage daughters) The hotel is in a superb location - right on the beachfront with lovely clean beach. The pool overlooks the beach and is wonderful after a hot day of sightseeing! The family who run the hotel are just delightful - dad runs the business, Mama runs the kitchen (great snacks and food) and sons run the bar - they were all so friendly. My youngest was too tired to come out for dinner and they brought a huge bill of pasta up to her in the room - so kind. They really want to look after their guests. The rooms were large - we had a two bedroom apartment on the second floor and it was very clean and spacious. The balcony overlooked the pool and beach and was glorious. Malia strip is only ten mins walk away. We had a lovely night with our eldest daughter at Lux nightclub. Nearest supermarket is 5 mins walk away. Just opposite one of the supermarkets is Sparrow Travel and we had a fabulous day out on Spinalonga island and Kolkytha (pumpkin) bay on a gorgeous boat through this company.

Everything was fabulous. If I was being really picky, there are no elevators and so it was a little tough lugging the luggage up the flights of stairs. In the two bedroom apartment there is only ac in the main bedroom so the second bedroom was a bit hot at times.

Location is literally on the beach and we had a great view from the apartment. The hotel is in a quiet area, at a 10 min walk from the main street, famous for it’s bars and nightlife. Also there are many restaurants and markets around.Staff was friendly and did their best that we felt at home.

Wifi was unusable from our apartment.

Fantastic hotel right on the beach with first class service. We got a room with the pool and sea view although we had purchased a room with a garden view. Highly recommended !

LaPlaya place is all about hospitality. Host will make everything for your pleasant stay. We had some issues with AC and were offered another room immediately. Hotel has great location, free parking and spectacular view. Definitely recomment this place!

It could not be closer to the sea, the pool was just under our room. The terace of the room has beatifull view to the sea. Jorgos and Jannis were very kind, we tried several meals in the bar. We loved everything. The grocery shop and the bakery just in 5 minutes walk. There is a huge parking place. The pool and the beach area is well maintained, very clean, comfy. In every second day, they cleaned our room, and changed the towels. We really like to go back, as soon as we can.

The room needs some more equipment like, bigger kitchen (It is not enough for cooking) Also a modern coffee maker needed. Table clothes, paper towel, and dish soap, sponge.

Everything was perfect. The owners were very generous and respectful with our time (really early check-in) and our holiday. We felt very welcomed. We had great view from our balcony (sea, 🌴 and pool view), swimming pool was refreshing, WiFi fast and good reception even on the beach, parking was more than ample and the beach was lovely. 👌 Thank you for having us!

Excellent value apartments right on the beach with cafe, bar pool and family owners who can't do enough for you. Easy 2 min walk to supermarket and variety of restaurants, 10 mins walk to the strip or the Old town. Quiet end of the beach strip with great view Will be back... See you next year Yanis and Maria

Clean private beach with shower. Ten steps from the sun beds to the hotel restaurant to order refreshments or a snack. Lovely pool area, thoroughfully cleaned and disinfected every morning. Well maintained territory. Large room with kitchenette (well-equipped), enough furniture, super comfortable beds and a hedged terrace with flowers (we stayed on the ground floor) to enjoy the quietness of the evening and the sound of the waves.
