Die Wohnung war sauber, hell und mitten im Alfama Viertel. Direkt neben dem Haus gab es eine fantastische Frühstücksbar und bis zur Metro waren es keine 5 Minuten. Tolle Aussicht auf den Tejo.

Our party of 7 had a great time in this lovely apartment. Communication with the owners was easy, early check in was available, there were enough kitchen utensils to cook a meal. We had a wonderful trip and will gladly recommend this place to our friends.

We absolutely loved everything about this apartment. (Except maybe the stairs). (Not a rental for anyone with mobility issues). The 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms gave us lots of space to spread out and get ready for our day. The extra time that Daniel took to explain everything to us and the extras provided (water, cookies, coffee, sugar, tea etc) was such a nice surprise.

The apartment is perfectly situated in the Afalma quarter. Public transports (Santa Apolonia) are nearby and it is perfectly possible to walk to the centre of Lisbon. The arrival and welcom at the apartment were very good. We recieved a lot of information from Carlos. The apartment is well equiped for a stay at Lisbon with 8 people!

A perfect appartment for our stay in Lisbon with eight adults. Two parents and three children with their partners. The location in Alfama is beautiful, Fado, restaurants and bars all over the neighborhood. Just 15 min walk to the Terreiro do Paço.

This place was perfect for our two families to spend a few days exploring Lisbon. We only wish we had more time!

Perhaps this 3rd floor walk up apartment that’s a little warren of rooms with very small common space, half fridge, no place to put clothes, and no towel racks would be great for a group of 20-somethings on a party weekend. For a family with 3 children under 5 it was a nightmare. The Alfama is an extraordinary neighborhood of winding alleyways and street parties/food. But the smell of cigarettes and the partying ‘til 1 am is not conducive to sleeping. Knowing the size of our party and that we had small children, I would have hoped that Heart and Soul would be forthright about the shortcomings of the apartment and warned us that this wasn’t an appropriate space. When I woke up in the morning and thought about the effort to get an espresso for the adults and some simple groceries for the children, I realized that we would not be able to spend a week at Remedios III. We have traveled all over Spain and Portugal with the children and in every VRBO apartment we rented the owners were clear about what life would be like for a family with small children. We have been in walk up apartments, homes, and hotels - this was the worst stop on our adventure.

Four of us ladies stayed here at Remedios III for two nights at the end of our Portugal trip. This apartment was very spacious and we enjoyed each having our own room and the 3 bathrooms. This apartment is in a great location in the Alfama neighborhood. It is within walking distance to many restaurants, stores and bars. It was quiet at night too. It has a beautiful view of the river. It is on the 3rd floor and does not have an elevator however that was not a problem for us. We appreciated the help from Carlos upon entering and checking our of the apartment. It was a great stay - Thanks!

The property is great for a large group and 7 of us stayed here very comfortablely. The apartment has beautiful old features and is nicely decorated (pictures are as on the website). It was clean had all the amenities we required for our stay. We enjoyed the location of the apartment within the gorgeous little streets and alleys of Alfama. Would stay here again!

We enjoyed this roomy apartment in the heart of Alfambra. Great morning views of the river and a close walk to everything we wanted to do during our short stay. Daniel and the staff made check in easy and informative and quickly responded to a couple of minor issues. Grandma and Grandpa got their exercise on the steps from the front door to the apartment but that’s Lisbon. Thanks for hosting.

The property was beautiful and clean, with lots of natural light and just as described. Waking up and seeing the ships by the harbour was lovely and made for a perfect setting for our first family trip to Lisbon. The location is fantastic— a short walk to the Sta. Apolonia station, charming coffee shops and authentic restaurants. The street it is on is full of life and such a dream to stroll through. The hosts were warm, welcoming and indeed, like your friends in the city. They were very helpful and approachable! Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will always have fond memories of this stunning house in Rua dos Remedios! Obrigadas, we hope to be back in Lisbon again.

Since the first contact all the people from Local Traveling were super nice and willing to answer my many questions. They organized the apartment with the number and type of beds we needed and even had a crib and high chair. They e-mailed me daily to check if we needed something else. The apartment is very well located in Alfama where we loved the up and down of the streets. Close to the metro station where there is a bigger supermarket( and lots of mini markets in the area). Cozy and comfortable. We were a party of ten people and it was great to have 3 bathrooms. I researched a lot and I can say I was very happy for choosing this one.

The apartment was really close to the downtown so we walked a lot and saw many attractions by feet. Whenever we needed to get somewhere the train station was just around the corner, which was very convenient. The apartment was very spacious, clean, and well taken care of, with everything necessary included. We felt very welcome and whenever we needed something, apartment manager provided a great service and recommendations. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants to experience Lisbon, you will fall in love with it! Excellent food, old city, welcoming people, night gatherings, beautiful waterfront and many more.

We were a large family (7 adults and two kids) and stayed comfortably at this place. The check-in was super easy. Even though we got there a few hours early they kept our luggage for us and upon check-in brought them to the apartment (which is about 50 steps or so away from the office). There is no elevator in the building but we were able to keep the stroller in the office whenever we wanted which was a great help. The place is clean, big and well equipped. It looks better than the pictures and all information is accurate. The room with no window is not the best place to sleep in summer time( not good circulation) but is manageable with a fan. You could stroll out of your place to many good fado places, and some good cozy restaurants. If you are looking to stay in Alfama, this is the place for you. What makes this place superb and memorable is Fatima and her colleagues. Not only they are well-organized and professional but they are super kind, and helpful and they went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. They even gave my mom a birthday present and mailed me an item I had left behind.

I stayed in the Remedios III with my family of 5 -- a couple, my mother, and two teenaged children. We originally planned a three night stay, however, due to the east coast snow storm, our arrival in Lisbon was delayed by two days and we only had one night in Lisbon and in the lovely flat. The flat is located in the wonderful Alfama district, with many places to eat and interesting streets to wander. Convenient to public transportation, close to the river. The flat is as pictured and was clean. While the living/dining room is small, it is comfortable and has a great view. The real benefit is the number and size of the bedrooms. The four bedrooms are situated in such a way as to be private, and with three bathrooms, there is plenty of space for the group. The bedrooms are each large enough for a couple, with room for luggage. We were very happy with the service from the time of our inquiry to the time we left. The management group Heart and Soul Lisbon responded promptly to our inquiry and answered all questions. When we asked for an early check in, they promised to accommodate us if possible, and then were able to do so. When I notified them that we would be two days late, they offered us an extension of two days (this was not possible for us). The manager met us upon arrival, and generously discounted our bill in recognition that the delay could not have been helped. As a Homeaway.com property owner and someone who has rented a number of properties, I can tell you that this is not typical! They also arranged a large taxi for us the next day so that we could go to the airport and pick up a rental car for the rest of our holiday, which took place outside the city. We were very happy with our interaction with Heart and Soul Lisbon, and I will seek out one of their apartments if I have the opportunity to visit the city again.
