The Meson de Marques is beautiful architecturally. It’s an old estate with modern touches. The dining area is set around a gorgeous garden with plants and a huge tree in the middle with wonderful lightening. The owner has put in a relatively new roof top bar/ restaurant.

The beautifully maintained historically building is located in the heart of quaint Valldolid. I could not ask for more. The food was perfect on the perfect location, that courtyard is gorgeous. The staff was always super nice and friendly. They promptly responded to all our questions with the right and useful information. Our room was just beautiful with an nice view to the pool and gardens.

I can't say I disliked anything about the hotel.

The English-speaking staff was not extremely communicative, but it was still acceptable. This may be considered the only minor drawback that I encountered while searching for an answer to the question.

Very low water pressure. Almost no hot water. Does not last for even one short shower. Passages between two buildings are blocked off by fence. Strange.

The hotel was in an excellent location and had everything you could wish for. Pool, excellent breakfast of a morning, incredible staff. The building itself is really beautiful too.

Our room was located close to the rooftop bar so that was really noisy. I would request a room away from that if I stayed again. Also there was no fridge in the room, however we were able to request a bucket of ice

Hotel Meson del Marques was in a great location very close to the center of Valladolid. It was set up with rooms around the central pool and parking, which made it feel very safe and private. The restaurant was very good, and the complimentary breakfast included in our stay was incredible. The room was fairly standard. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and welcoming, including in the restaurant.

The room itself was fairly standard, although the toilet didn’t always flush on the first try.

One of the best hotels I had in Mexico, well located the breakfast was nice and the staff were really kind and helpful I recommend them without hesitation .

The location is great and the rooftop restaurant Don Diablo is a big plus for a nice dinner. And the main restaurant served a nice breakfast.

I stayed in a junior suite and it wasn’t even remotely close to been worth the price.

Very good location, right in front of the main square.

Rooms were not ready when we got there at 3.30pm. We were told to wait at least until 5pm. No excuses from the staff. Then we got to the pool (one of the main resaons we booked this hotel) and the pool was closed because of problems with the water. They were able to fix it within a day and luckily there was a jacuzzi. But still no excuses from the hotel or anything offered in compensation. The most annoying aspect of the stay was the noise during the night. A huge construction site right next to the hotel and hammering all night. Plus, the bathrooms were old and strange smells and noises came out of the plumbing pipes. Brrakfast was very intermediate. So overall, not a good experience at all.

Despite that we experienced a very unpleasant sleepless night due to drilling outside from 2am till 4am, I’d give this hotel a high rating. The staff and the owner himself have done everything to help us. They were kind and have allocated us to a better room with proper double glazed windows. I noticed that all staff was really well trained in customer service - this is a massive achievement of the owner - to reach this quality customer service in Mexico, you don’t get it ofter here. Big respect and well done to the owner.

I’d say that restaurant staff needs more training and improvement in customer service. They charge top rates, but are a bit impolite. Hotel staff work more smoothly and create better relationships with clients.

We loved everything about this hotel & we'll definitely stay here again!! Very elegant. They were very friendly at check-in. The location was perfect. The main square is right outside the front door. The room was updated, very clean and comfy. We were able to park our car in their lot. We walked everywhere. The free breakfast was delicious!

All and all is was a great a hotel! The part of the building we stayed in did not have an elevator. For us, it was fine. Steps may be too much for some. They carried our luggage up. I'm sure if we asked, they would have carried it down.

place is very centric and the roof top bar has great views of the main plaza. A bonus is they have car parking space.
