1. Apartment was clean but bed linen didn't look very fresh. 2. Bathroom is small but if don't like long baths, then it's fine.

Communication with host really good, quick and helpful responses. Clean and conveniently located place with parking.

Room smelt of cigarettes and heat control didn't seem to be working.

Conveniently located property a short bus journey from Reading Town Centre with several bus routes at either end of the street to take you directly to Raleading Station in 10 minutes.

Upon my arrival at 5.30pm (as advised earlier that day), I discovered the keys were not in the locked box as described in the check in instructions. When contacting the property manager was told it looked like the room was not ready and they would try to get in touch with the cleaner to see if they could come and clean the room. I said this was unsuitable as I had several pieces of heavy luggage with me and was pressed for time with an appointment to get to in town at 7pm, so could not be left to wait outside and see if the cleaner would arrive. I asked if there was an alternate room, which there was and I was relocated. However this was significantly smaller than the "LUX" apartment I had booked and the cleaning was very substandard, with mutliple areas covered in dust. The toilet and bathroom mirror were also not cleaned to a suitable standard. The bed did not have a mattress protector on it - only a thin flat sheet. As I was only there for one night with an early departure the following morning, I stayed as I had no time to wait for another option to be provided. However it was by no means a clean or comfortable stay and began with a lot of unnecessary stress from the property's disorganisation and lack of preparation.

Location was good and I received a very quick response to a query I had.

Unfortunately the property was quite dirty which really surprised us.

Splash back needed to be wiped done and island top had stains that came off with a wet cloth, so just a good basic wipe over required

the owner was very helpful over the phone and in person. he picked up the phone immediately when we called him and he l;asp sent detailed information via email on how to get there

the ramp leading to the paring area needs to be leveled. cars seems to bounce off the road the way its constracted

Easy check in process and the room had pretty much all the basics.

The mattress / bedding have seen better days and even though a pod coffee machine is provided, there were no pods and no coffee sachets available - only tea and hot chocolate. Because if the layout of the bathroom the toilet seat had been made loose by people having to access / sit and an angle.

Very easy to access, on-site parking, communal areas well lit, very clean and comfortable.

Everything was good.

Good location, very central. Off street parking was great to have. The property was well equipped - microwave, kettle, fridge, washing machine (although we did not use the washing machine). The bed was clean and comfortable. The key collection was relatively easy. There was a welcome book that gave you some details such as the Wi-Fi password and what things to see and do while in Reading.

They either forgot or just didn't feel like cleaning the bathroom. It looked like it was used just a couple of hours ago and it was not clean - the shower was full of someone else's hair and the entire bathroom had the feel that it just wasn't maintained well. There was mould and encrusted dirt in a lot of the corners of the showers (inside and out). The exhaust vent was absolutely caked in dust. The bathroom also smelled of damp. One thing to keep in mind if you are driving to the property (which is the main reason I chose this over other places in the city) - there is a very deep gap between the street and the pavement, which is directly in front of the entrance to where the parking spaces are located. It's impossible to see in the dark until it's too late. I damaged the underside of my car.

Hair in the bathroom everywhere, I don't think they clean. Was very cold and you cannot change the temperature.

the only thing I liked about the Propperty was the fact it was easily accessible such as the location of the appartment

first of all the kettle was filthy there was no pods for the coffee machine the appartment appliances were absolutely filthy the shower was blocked and full of distgusting human hairs the shower room sink was tiny and full of filth and crap the kitchen sink was also filthy as you can see in the photos below the kettle was full of lime scale and just looked soo unhygienic overall the appartment made me feel uncomfortable i found it hard to sleep my asthma was playing up and then to top it all off i was I was spoken to very rudely by one of the staff members called jess she was very rude I told her my misses is in the toilet because as I I was getting ready to leave she told me she needs the toilet then Jess said you have 1 minute which I found room but what she said later on is what I found the most very very rude she said checkouts was at 10 can you hurry up Ive got a job to do and she didn’t even apologise when I left the building check in was at 3pm I didn’t actually get into the apartment until almost 4pm my misses didn’t arrive until around 6-7pm she come from work there for was unable to get to the apartment early so we like to an apology and compensation for the stress and inconvenience it has caused us this is not the first time we have used Helena house infact when we have used it previously our stay has really good comfortable and we had no problems the place was clean and tidy that time which made that experience really pleasant for us but I’m afraid to say this time round I felt absolutely disgusted. I've stayed in this apartment twice now and I couldn't be happy with it. Has everything you need which makes your stay so much more comfortable.

Nothing I didn't like about this place at all.

Nice room. Tidy and plenty of space as well as everything you could need within the cupboards for a long term stay. Kitchen facilities were great and clean towels provided.

Wasn’t sure how to contact host. Bathroom light wasn’t working and there was quite a large spider in the room however as it’s getting colder it could of come in after they had cleaned.

other guests making a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning, no hot water in the morning (boiler switched off) and no partial refund or even apology. for £68 I expected hot water

Great apartment with everything you need from making a cup of tea to your evening meal, everything was provided. Bathroom was a decent size with a powerful shower and had all the extras you need if you forgot yours.

Nothing, everything was excellent and wanted for nothing once inside and settled.
