Probably the best place to stay in Gherla. Good also for leisure and business travel. Very clean and nice. Great breackfast

Nothing to complain

Had large ground floor room with King bed. It has nice high coffered ceilings. Beautiful majestic 1700's building with locked courtyard where 2 or 3 vehicles can park but also safe on-street free parking. Owner was at the premises and very nice and helpful. Best to have breakfast on-site. Roma restaurant about 100 meters away is good for lunch and dinner. Very good pizzas and pasta dishes. Other items also. Nice treed park about 100-300 meters away. We decided to use this as our stopover hotel for the long drive from Rasnov to the Bucharest airport for our rental car dropoff before taking a taxi to our central Bucharest hotel.

Not very much to see or do in the immediate area but great for our stopover. Seeing the beautiful traditional building beautifully restored was worth it.

I highly recommend staying at this place. The hotel is in the city center, the room was spacious and clean while the bath was impeccable. What struck me the most was the way it was decorated as the host has a passion for antiques. The staff was very kind and friendly, while the host told me about the place, its history and the near attractions. Now I wish I tried the schnapps he offered me.
