This place is perfect! Lovely helpful staff, beautiful facilities, nice and clean rooms, (optional) yoga in the morning, 50m to the beach, 4 min walk to cener of Cumbuco, nice breakfast, massages and good wines. The place is quite and calm. Not the place to go if you are a group that are in Cumbuco to party hard.

the garden rooms suffer from a lot of road noise if you are a light sleeper you will not sleep as there is constant traffic . Many dogs around inside the grounds. and they can be a nuisance .

Beautiful Villa, very clean and well maintained Kayo was an amazing host, helped us with everything we needed.

Several things stand out on this property. The place is beautiful, lots of nature around the swimming pool. It’s located just a 5min wall from the village, besides being right next to the beach. But the best quality of Controvento is the staff. The owners go out of their way to make sure every guest is well treated. The made me one of the very best Quiche Lorraine I ever ate, besides fantastic fruit juices. Their employees are highly trained and motivated. Best value and quality I ever had in Cumbuco.

This is the first hotel review I have ever written and I've traveled around half the world in my 49 years Quite frankly its the best place I've stayed at ever. I've stayed in hotels costing literally 10 times this much (albeit not in brasil) and did not enjoy my stay as much as I did here. The managing couple has created a real Shangri La: Beautiful flowers and other plants growing everywhere around the nice , clean pool; a good breakfast, comfortable rooms with private outdoor seating etc etc The cherry on the cake are Diana and Nico who run the place with much love and attention not just to details of the hotel but also personal attention to all their guests. Nico is a great cook and makes the best caipirinha I've had in brasil...and I've had many in the seven months I traveled here. -200% recommended!

It's a really quiet place here, perfect to calm down and enjoy life and holiday. The peaple are really healpful and they helf you in this way, that you can really feel its about you and not to earn money. you can use during the day free coffee und fruits. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much.

This place is very nice, comfortable. It is a good place if you want to relax where you are staying. It has a yoga studio for yogis. It was very close to the beach, which made it easy for kiting. They had storage boxes for kite equipment.
