Wow!! Everything was amazing. Nice to get away from work and a busy life . Takes you back to the good old days. Cabin was just what me and the wife needed. In 10 minutes you can shop and eat ,nothing is too far away. Sitting on the porch and only hearing nature is so nice in the afternoons . Bed was so comfortable plenty of pillows. Wood stove was very nice. Kitchen was very nicely stocked with the things that you may need.
I don’t have any complaints. Nice job. We will be back.

This place is a gem. I enjoyed quiet and solitude during my stay. The grounds are beautiful, and so was my room. The owners are wonderful, helpful, and very friendly.
I enjoyed the spaces and serenity in the meditation garden. It was grounding, quiet, gorgeous, and I could get back in touch with nature.
I'm coming back again and again.

Plenty of pillows, covers and towels
Great attention to details, flashlight, extension cord, fan, books, coffee maker, filters, cups, glasses ... huge fridge. Loved it.
Property map, signage, trash bins, consistent description ( the walk to highest point was confusing and google maps took us through a private property. I still don't know what is the exact size of the farm and hay fields.

The location was perfect since we were visiting our son at VMI. All of the extra touches were wonderful- the bottle of wine, the chocolates, etc. Having basics like coffee filters, garbage bags, foil and paper towels was very helpful.
We didn't have keys to lock up when we were out. I'm a country girl myself, so it didn't bother me too much and I don't have valuable stuff, but some people may want to lock up when they go out.

the views, the solitude, the cleanliness
Having to drive into Lexington to pick up an envelop attached to the front door of a house with no one there and then learning that the key was already in the door at the retreat. Could have understood if there was someone at the house to welcome us and give us instructions but it was a waste of time and gas to do it that way.

It was absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous view when you walk out onto the porch. The garden was magical. Getting up early on a Sunday morning & soaking up the morning in that garden was the cherry on top of the entire trip. The fountain with the fish was nice. Fire pit was perfect for a nightcap. The small hike to the geometric garden/perfect sunset spot was more amazing than I could have imagined. Overall an amazing property & I can’t wait to return :)

The manager & owner were amazing and over delivered on every level. The property is unique, beautiful & commands relaxation. It feels like your visiting your own family property! Even though there are other guests you have total privacy and it feels like your the only own there somehow. You have all The detailed instructions, directions & direct access to great hiking a adventures. Highly recommended & I’ll be back.

The location
Thin walls. Our neighbor which was only a wall between us had no respect for others. They were very sexually active and load. Wall's should be sound proof. Didn't realize it was just a room with a bathroom. No TV
