The beds and bedding could do with updating.

The peace and quiet was lovely

Would of liked basic instructions regarding cooker and dishwasher

spacious enough for 4 people plus a dog. nice bathrooms.

Myself, husband and 3 grandchildren stayed at Ash Lodge for 3 nights in August. The lodge was in a quiet private location and was lovely and spacious. It had a double bedroom with plenty storage as well as a bedroom with 2 single beds. The living area had 3 sofas with one being a sofa bed. The lodge had 2 bathrooms with one having a bath with shower and the other a shower cubicle. As there was 5 of us 2 bathrooms was perfect and made our stay easier. . The kitchen area had everything we needed including a microwave, oven hob and full size fridge freezer. Although we did not use it there was even a dishwasher. We enjoyed our stay and our grandchildren loved it.

The shower room was very good sorry to say it was the best thing in the Lodge

The bedding was of a very poor quality there was a very strong smell through out the property when the temperature got warm there was a strong smell of dog urine in the lounge the binds where very old a not very clean there was no milk or little extras for arrival to make cup of tea it was a very poor lodge over all and needs to be refurbished through out for the cost of over £700 it was not value for the money I think Mr Slee needs to have a lot of work done on his lodge

Property was very remote but also very quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful surroundings. The lodge was clean, comfortable and spacious. When one of the lights needed replacing they came round and sorted it straight away. The beds were comfortable. There was a very comprehensive booklet with loads of relavant info. Lovely touches like games and books. Lovely walks for our little dog. Relaxing and restorative.

The only thing I could think of is the oven didn't seem very hot so food took longer to cook but so what if you need to cook something longer when you are on holiday.

The lodge was lovely and cosy. Stayed warm even though we didn’t put the heaters on much and it was cold outside. There was plenty space for all 4 of us to sit and relax without being on top of each other. And having 2 bathrooms was a bonus. There were powerful showers in both bathrooms which was great. In a beautiful quiet location and never saw or heard anyone in the other lodges.

Although the lodge and location were lovely, I think for the price we paid it should include a bit more than just the lodge. No towels, toiletries, tea / coffee or added little treats that would give it more of a luxury feel. You take all you’re own rubbish to the bins and remove bed linen and clean up. This wasn’t a massive issue but I felt like I was working for my stay even though we had paid a lot of money. That said, I’d know what to expect next time and would possibly book again.
