The receptionists were nice and the breakfast was perfect

I kept on getting knocks that I'm disturbing other people that live there but I had booked for leisure and there was a lot of weed(Marijuana) smell by the passage and could smell it even just after opening my door and I don't like that smell. All the towels in the room had stains, they were not clean. And we found plastic bags from shops and receipts of the people that stayed there before we checkedin ,they were in the closet. Bathroom was leaking water.

Bit of a strange building, that feels more like an apartment block than a hotel. Quite loud with noisy neighbours.

Moreover, the proximity to the mall was a major plus. The convenience of being able to walk to a nice mall in the area made my leisure time enjoyable, adding to the overall positive experience. In summary, the Jack Rose Hotel stands out not only for its amenities and safety measures but also for its attentive staff and culinary excellence. A five-star stay that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable and comfortable hotel experience.

The location was okay.the room was spacious and secure parking.

The rooms were not clean to hotel standards. The plates were dirty, The zinc had some blue mould, the blankets were itchy,for some reason there is a resturant but it was closed at 5pm.

The fact that it was cheap the day I booked.

It’s never really clean, cockroaches just appear, they are as expensive as other places if not more such as Roadlodge but their establishment is not clean, the staff is mid, I had a fall out with owners before so they still owe me money from like June 2023, only did the booking because I had a meeting in Rosebank and needed to be within walking distance, otherwise I’m not a fan

Spacious, balcony, friendly staff, own kitchen, furniture, wifi. Shower was awesome!

Bedside lamps not working. Lights outside room in hall was too bright during night. The echo in the main area can be a little disturbing. Breakfast needs some fixing up. Who ever did the paint job didn't do a great job.

Absolutely loved it, from the athletics , staff and decor, ill definitely come back <3

Location was convenient.

The room quality is not the same as in the pictures, especially for the pricing. I was not impresses with not having back-up power for the room, as I was on a work trip and needed to connect my computer to a plug and also needed WiFi. The breakfast was also so-so.

The reception staff were fantastic, very attentive. The location is within walking distance to the Netcare Hospital and the Rosebank Mall. The Wifi was super fast. The buffet breakfast was amazing, such a variety, from cereals, yoghurts, fruit salad, muffins to bacon & eggs or omelet's. REAL value for money.

Room was dirty, toilet dirty, loud music from reception, air conditioner was not working in the rooms, dirty extra blanket with blood stains, and their waterfall inside the hotel the water made noise all night

The noise of other and they should put the carpets in the room before they are room is tiles so tile is cold in winter and the windows some windows are broken it put the wind inside the room so it's cold

There were too many cockroaches and no back up generator

It was my second stay there and I was again very happy. I enjoyed very generous and tasty breakfast. Also worth pointing is that the WiFi is very good, working even during load shedding. Room was again very big and everything needed was there. There is a well equipped kitchenette. Bed was comfortable.
