This property is exactly as you see it online. It sits high above all other properties with spectacular views. Very private and gated. Great location, only 10-15 minutes from Cruz Bay. The whole family had an amazing time. This property did not disappoint.

This is a wonderful place. Exactly as depicted. Amazing perch in the sky, quality property in every way. Handsome, generous rooms for all. Well stocked kitchen. Great place to hang out every day by the pool, and also a perfectly reasonable starting point for your day of adventures in the national park, Coral Bay, Cruz Bay, wherever. That first drive up to the mountain-top is a bit hairy, but you will get used to it! Be sure to rent a new-er Jeep or Bronco, so you have confidence in your tires and gears and brakes! Very responsive and kind property management as well.

All of the 5 star reviews are well-deserved! The property is spacious and well kept. The views are jaw-dropping. We had ample room for 6 adults and one teen. We arrived to a spotless house and any questions or concerns we had were addressed promptly and professionally. The details were not overlooked — great sheets and towels, access to ample good quality beach chairs, fun selection of games and books, etc. Highly recommend!!

Checking in was so easy. Eric met us at the car rental and we followed him. Driving to the property was a little tough due to curves and steepness. But it was worth it. Would recommend the property

All of the 5 star reviews are well-deserved! The property is spacious and well kept. The views are jaw-dropping. We had ample room for 6 adults and one teen. We arrived to a spotless house and any questions or concerns we had were addressed promptly and professionally. The details were not overlooked — great sheets and towels, access to ample good quality beach chairs, fun selection of games and books, etc. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I have stayed in multiple homes on the island and this was by far the best yet. The location was perfect, the home was situated on top of the mountain with the most breathtaking views. The house was fully stoked and ready for us to stay without any worry ! I would love to go back again. It was comfortable for myself and another couple ! We had an issue with the showers on the first night and the manager was right on top of it and they were corrected the next morning. Loved it all together! Highly recommended

Best views on the south side, beautiful property, property managers were great to work with. Very generous supplies of cleaning products and kitchen essentials provided, even sunscreen, Yeti coolers and beach chairs. We loved it at Sol Inclination and will stay again. The main house is spacious and has a excellent appointed kitchen complete with sharp cutlery and a salad spinner. The cottage was perfect for two adults and two children. The pool was also in constant use with the kids. the hot tub perfect for the adults. The views of course were spectacular. The property manager was accessible and met all of our needs with a prompt response. Thank you to all involved for helping create a memorable stay

The road to the house is a bit much (I legit had a paralyzing panic attack driving up there and I’m used to Colorado mountains) BUT it is so worth the drive! And the panic attack! The VIEWS!! Amazing Island Getaway
Amazing views on top of the mountain. The property abuts the national park so half of it faces unspoiled green mountains. It feels like you are staying in the manor house of a vast estate. The house was fully equipped and it was hard to leave it, although the island's beautiful beaches beckoned. I would definitely stay here again. It would make a great family retreat with older children (some steep cliffs) or a group of friends. Like a private resort.

The house and guesthouse are lovely. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped. The views are beyond spectacular. The drive up to the house never ceased to be thrilling!
We had a couple of minor issues after arrival and James, the manager, could not have been more responsive.
On our next trip to St. John we would love to rent this property again.

Amazing home and views
Sol inclination the house itself was beautiful, spacious, well thought out, had every amenity and accessory that you would ever need. The house was magnificently clean. We were a party of 6 people and we never felt crowed.
The view from on top of the mountain was second to none. The ride to the house was a little steep but overall and excellent experience and enjoyed by all. The property manager James was always there to answer our questions and take care of business . Made the entire vacation very day and stress free.

Amazing property with fabulous views
My husband and I stayed on this property with our 3 adult sons and 1 significant other. The houses are amazing and the views are spectacular. As previously noted, the drive the first time can be daunting but after the first trip, it quickly becomes routine. The many deck levels provide something for everyone. It was tempting to just stay at the house and relax, hang out in the pool and jacuzzi and enjoy the views. The pictures are a true representation of the house. James was readily available to help with any questions we had with regards to the property or the area. We were happy to return to St. John post-Irma. The island itself is definitely ready for visitors.

The villa is beautiful and very private. It also has the best stocked kitchen of any rental.
Our family of five, including three adult sons, had a wonderful week. The views from the villa are amazing at all times of day. Great sunrises and equally beautiful sunsets. The first drive up to the property was a bit daunting, but was very manageable and quickly became routine. From the pool to the spa to the many porches and sitting areas, we were tempted to just stay put a couple of afternoons/evenings. Also the owners have provided many thoughtful amenities for both the villa and the beach (chairs, coolers, towels, etc). We are big fans of St. John and were happy to come back post-Irma to support it. The villa is in mint condition and showed no signs of damage from the storm. We would definitely recommend and plan to come back again.

Gem of the Southshore
Sol Inclination offers a private compound environment on top of Skytop with its West Indies main house that offer 270 degree views. I have been coming to St. John for over 20 years always staying on the South shore and Sol Inclination is the cream of the crop. Very comfortable house with a lawn, that has every amenity you need, so hanging for the day by the pool is an easy option. You are only 15 minutes from Cruz Bay and easy access to Starfish and other markets.
Being on top of the mountain gives you great opportunities of exercise. A walk down and back or to the Petroglyphs or Sugar Mill will burn off all the food and drink for the day before. A jump in the pool and your set for one of the great beaches.

Amazing Property and Views!
My wife and I rented this place with two other couples. It was amazing. There was plenty of privacy and room for everyone to spread out. The pool was great and had spectacular views. The drive is a little steep so be sure to have a 4wd jeep! Convenient to Cruz bay and all of its amenities. We had groceries delivered and cooked at home a lot, though, because it was such a great place. The property management company was great. From the time we started planning the trip through our departure they were responsive to emails and extremely helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

Beyond Anything
I rented this place so my fiancee and I could get engaged ( its our second time around so we spent money on getting engaged instead of a wedding). Long story short this place is beyond amazing. By the third day we came back early and spend the afternoons and sunsets on top of west side of the island with views from the pool looking down both ways on the west side...simply breathtaking!!
The main house is so NICE inside and the kitchen is to die for if you cook...everything imaginable you need to fix a meal of any type. The bedrooms are nice sized, beds soft and bathrooms with walk in showers.
The grounds very well taken care of and thoughtfully laid out esp the pool having the views of the entire west coast line.
The drive up to this place is better suited for a jeep but once u get there...
Already planning a return trip next year to bring our kids ( college age) to enjoy this.

Worth the climb, wonderful home, incredible views
When looking for homes to rent on St. John, we looked no further when we saw the site for Sol Inclination. When we stepped out of the car, walked up the steps, we were wowed. When viewing pictures on the web, you aren't sure what you are going to get, but the pictures are accurate, the house is beautiful, clean, comfortable and has everything you need, the home is incredible. The views in a word: spectacular. You almost don't want to leave when you get there. If the beaches in St. John weren't as great as they are, we might have never left the house. Being on one of the highest points of the island, makes for an adventurous drive to and from the house, but it's worth it, and there is no question that if we can ever make it back, this is the house we would rent again and again. The only regret, we didn't stay longer. The property management company and property manager, Mark, were very helpful and great to work with, from our first email contact to the day we left. Everything about Sol Inclination made for a great trip. We highly recommend staying here, and hope that we are able to come back and do it again.

Simply The Best
My wife and I have just returned from another week at Sol Inclination, and yet again, it did not disappoint. We feel the highest compliment you can give a property is to be a return customer, as this was our second visit to this villa. The villa alone is a destination in itself; and we ended up spending two days on the property without ever leaving. That's really saying something considering how much the island has to offer.
I would highly recommend Sol Inclination to any discerning visitor who requires the best views, amenities and privacy - it has it all! The property is beautifully maintained and has presented that "new and clean" ambiance each time we visit. It's almost too much space for just a couple and is ideal for a family or a group of friends. But that certainly doesn't stop my wife and I from returning to enjoy the privacy and solitude the villa provides. We often say, we must share Sol Inclination with our friends so that they can experience a vacation of a lifetime.

~~ Sensational villa with unmatched, panoramic views!!! ~~
This was our first visit to St John. Our group consisted of two families: four adults and two teenagers. We spent two weeks at Sol Inclination and it was perfect for us. It is sound, has a wonderfully stocked and organized gourmet kitchen and is decorated tastefully. Loved having the upstairs bedrooms with the expansive balcony. Dreamy! Lush landscaping provides the perfect frame for exquisite sunrises and sunsets. The view from all four suites (including the guest house) is unbelievable. You can see Ram's Head, Reef Bay, Hart Bay, Rendezvous Bay, Chocolate Hole. Very private - no other villas overlooking this property and the National Park is to the east. The lighted driveway is extremely steep (as is the drive up to the villa - a super fun adventure!) but it was no problem for our brand new 4WD Jeep rented on St Thomas from Amalie. The multi-tiered deck areas heading down to the guest house were cozy, well lit and very well-kept. Plenty of space to find a quiet spot to read. The pool and it's surrounding deck was small but beautiful and adequate, providing breath-taking views while floating. The AC is adjusted not to go below 74F which for the most part was okay. We had the windows open to enjoy the early morning breezes anyway. Meals on the veranda were perfect. All of the bathrooms are en suite and spacious. The outdoor shower is off the easterly King suite in the main house. Great closet and dresser space. We loved plugging our ipod into the sound system for indoor or outdoor tunes! We ate at home the majority of the time, using the grill. Mongoose Junction restaurants we tried were: Ocean Grill, Virgin Fire, and Tap Room. Gecko Bar had fabulous food and cocktails! Great food near Coral Bay at Skinny Legs with plenty of souvenir shopping. Beaches we visited: Hawksnest, Maho, and Cinnamon Bay. We used the beach chairs, bags and coolers provided. Not bad driving distance to the beaches but we loved driving on the island. We did make the mistake of taking a short-cut across to Trunk Bay by going down John(s?) Head Rd. Glad nobody was coming the other direction! They have games and puzzles which we enjoyed. Water pressure was good, with plenty of hot water. Beds were okay-comfy. Delores, the maid had the place spotless. The floral bouquet was a nice touch! Everything was in pretty-good working order although cable TV was spotty at times- who needs TV in paradise!? WiFi was good at the main house. Best. Vacay. Ever. Thank you so much!

Sol Inclination is truly special
Imagine waking up a bit late one morning, sitting in the sun sipping coffee, and watching a small rainstorm pass in front of you (as in the villa is so high you feel you're at the same level as the cloud) between St John and St Croix. And after it passes, a rainbow shows. That is how special this villa was for me, my wife and friends. The attention to detail in the entire property is impressive. You're always surrounded by mahogany or granite and the view overlooking Fish Bay is fantastic. Pool and hot tub come in handy but we spent our days at Cinnamon Bay, Trunk Bay and Francis Bay. St John has amazing beaches! We would leave the villa mid-morning and stop to grab sandwiches for the beach at Mongoose Junction. Then a quick trip up the coast to hit the beach. Same drill on the way back to the villa, except we'd grab our favorite beverage at the Tap Room. Then we would get ready for dinner, or on a few nights, cook in the gourmet kitchen at the villa. Top the night off watching the moon rise and then watch shooting stars (over a dozen during one of our star gazing nights). The villa is super private, it's positioned at the highest point overlooking Fish Bay and truly made for a special time for us.

Truly a Fantasy Island Getaway
On our fifth visit to St. John, my husband and I stayed at Sol Inclination for a week with a group of friends. What an amazing experience! The house is high up on a hill, very private, with amazing views 24 hours a day. Gorgeous sunrises (and moonrises) over Ram's Head, sunsets over Ditleff Point, and at night we could see every star. True, as others have pointed out, it's a little further from town than other rentals we've stayed at..but for us, the views and privacy were well worth the extra 5 minute drive. I loved that all of the bedrooms have ensuite baths and their own fabulous views. Very comfy beds and quality linens, which not all rental properties have. The house and its amenities were exactly as described online, and Marc was very helpful in answering our questions prior to the trip. Kitchen was large and well-stocked. Overall the home is extremely well-maintained with gorgeous surrounding landscaping- Lots of tropical color and so nice to have a lawn area! The pool deck is on the small side as others have pointed out, but there's plenty of lounging space nearby on the lawn and the covered patio. Loved the outdoor shower and I have to mention the hot tub- Sounds crazy but with the cooler nighttime breezes it was nice to have. The view from the hot tub is lovely too. As an experienced vaca home renter I found this home to be an amazing value for all you get- views, comfort, luxury, privacy, amenities. I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends. For a day sail, check out Kekoa at blacksailsvi.com. Their all-girl crew will take great care of you! For dining out, our group enjoyed delicious food at The Terrace, La Tapa, Sam and Jacks (get the Uncle Peep), and Driftwood Dave's (get the ribs). And be sure to get fresh fish from the Fish Trap market to grill on the Weber grill. St. John in general is just an amazing destination for those who appreciate the beauty of nature, a laid-back lifestyle and unspoiled beaches that aren't overcrowded or overdeveloped. My husband and I love it and we'll keep coming back!

breathtaking views!
my family and i had the most wonderful week at Sol Inclination. the house is even more beautiful than its pictures. the view is amazing! i watched the sun rise each morning from the veranda and set each night from the hot tub. very peaceful spot. we cooked in most nights which was easy due to the well-stocked kitchen. the property was extremely clean and well-maintained. marc was great answering all our questions prior to arrival as well as on the island. he met us at the car rental spot and brought us to the grocer before heading to the house. the driving on the island can be a bit scary at first but after going up and down the mountain a couple times it ended being quite fun! the beaches are first rate. we loved cinnamon bay and trunk bay. i've vacationed on many islands in the past and i must say St. John is now top of the list. The beaches are peaceful and relaxing...no loud watersports or vendors trying to sell stuff to you like on other islands. we snorkeled at Trunk Bay and learned to paddle board at Cinnamon Bay. plenty of restaurants and shopping, too. St. John and Sol Inclination is now a top spot on our family's vacation destination list!!!! We will be back!!!
