Location was perfect … right in town and within walking distance to main street and eateries. There was also plenty of parking.

Location was great.
I worked there 30+ years ago and nothing has been updated - it is very run down. The units are not all owned by the same people anymore and this particular one is managed off shore. Communication is shocking. There is no human contact at the property, a lock box that needs replacing contained the key - we wanted to check in at 2pm and after 2 calls to the off-shore number we redeemed the access at 7:20pm. The pool that the room over looks is green and not in use and the sun comes up in the room just after 5.

Did not get promised Room - no Balcony as stated, no North aspect as requested. A walkway outside a single entrance door which can be used by anyone to get from A to B is NOT A BALCONY and should not be falsely advertised as such. Room not linked to Hotel Reception so it could not be upgraded. Not an 'apartment' either - a hotel room which is quite expensive for what it is - small & featureless.

Close to the pubs
The very very squeaky bed cobweb was all the spiders there’s a very slippery bath tub the kids riding their scooters up and down the balcony

Tap handles, particularly on the shower kept falling off and hitting the bath. Just need some new grub screws.
Location (room 13!) next to Saturday night karaoke noisy till 11.
Top step down to ground floor higher than others and in my opinion dangerous, and the grab rails became very hot in the sun
Key holder lock wouldn't close properly, but that could have been me not understanding how to close it properly - instructions vague

No staff, no reception, therefore no assistance when I requested extra items for the room. When I called, I felt I was talking to a telemarketing company.
Couldn't use the pool as it was locked and labelled "private"

Extremely well priced for a clean, comfortable bed & bedding, good shower with lots of hot water, towels & toiletries.
York is very quiet little town, stores mostly close at 4pm. We had takeout from the Chinese restaurant on Avon-it was very good.
Following am after checkout we went to the Nuygen Bakery for coffee & a sweet, also very tasty. the IGA grocery store right across the street.

Parking is free but Lot is behind property, bit of a distance to drag luggage & then have to haul it up a flight of stairs.
check in is done on line, lock box is at the door of your unit. A little confusing finding the accommodations but luckily a shop owner was able to assist.

It was very difficult to get into the hotel. We made the booking, but when we arrived, there was no reception. We did several calls, but only after 5 calls we got somebody answering. Then we waited for a long time after finally getting the room code.
