Amazing hosts and beautiful rooms. We were spoilt with your scones, jam and cream for afternoon tea delivered to the room and your overall service and attention to detail.

Ron and Leanne were excellent hosts. York is a great place for a stopover between wWave Rock and the Pinnacles

We enjoyed a very spacious, comfortable room with good amenities. The ensuite bathroom was large and very clean. We had access to a lounge and dining area, as well as an outside gazebo. The lounge had a roaring fire, comfortable lounge chairs, books, games and a piano. A port or sherry could also be imbibed. As we had an early departure the next morning, the owner kindly organised our breakfast to accommodate this which was much appreciated. We also had scones with cream & jam & coffee on our initial afternoon arrival.

Great B&B with guest lounge. Comfortable room, 5 mins walk into York main street, with at least 2 good restaurants and local colour. Many museums to visit. Lovely river walk.

Very happy with our stay. The owners were unbelievably nice, and willing to go the extra mile just to make the guests happy. The common room was equipped with board games, DVDs, piano, and complimentary wine, which gave the whole stay a lovely touch that we truly appreciated.

You can walk to town in under 10 minutes crossing a suspension bridge over the river. Facilities include free wifi, DVDs, books, games, complimentary evening port, sherry or wine. The continental breakfast is more than adequate although a cooked breakfast is available at a small fee. The spacious living room has a grand piano if you are so inclined and a beautiful cosy tile fire. We highly recommend this accommodation

Lee and Ron were so pleasant - a real homey feel to the place. And Lee had some great pointers for us about exploring the town for it's history and architecture. (PS - download the app and do a walking tour if you're able - it's great!!). Breaky was so lovely - anything and everything you could want in a B and B. Thanks!!

Room is neat and comfortable.But that's about all. We arrive at 7pm in winter weather and the sky was already dark by the time we got there. The host met me at the gate and seem very eager to get the introduction over and done with. As we had to get up earlier the next day, i ask if we can have some take away breakfast like ham cheese sandwich and was told there was non of such ingredient as they have yet to go shopping. Not a big issue as we did get some bread and egg and banana. Except that there was hair in the sandwich that was left for us.

I stayed at the Grandhouse with my wife. The perfect get away for a couple. Access to all amenities, big bed, your host is absolutely amazing and it's not far from Central York

We only stayed for the one night but it was a very comfortable stay. Very easy to find and within nice walking distance of the centre of town. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The biggest asset to this B&B is the owners. They are wonderful people and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable.

Just a quick overnight stay but we would stay again thanks to the comfortable bed, glass of port/sherry, and friendly hostess.

We stayed here as a couple recently and it was very pleasant. Leanne and Ron are very accommodating. The rooms are nice and the property is well located - a close drive to the town centre. Leanne and Ron provide complimentary afternoon tea, a night beverage as well as the breakfast. There are shared spaces if you want to play board games or relax in front of the fire.

Our stay at the Grandhouse was quite pleasant. We were offered early check in, and the owners went out of their way to ensure our short stay was a good one. Happily recommend this hotel.

Loved the tea and cakes on arrival and also cherry, port and wine left out for guests to indulge, I have not seen that before and was very impressed. Also loads of dvds and books for the guests use also. If go back to York I will defiantly stay here.
