All aspects of the property were at or above expectation - so much character in the building and rooms; welcoming staff; amazing breakfast (read in my top 3); a clean, comfortable room; walkable downtown location; peaceful and quiet overnight; not to mention having the option to eat a very delicious locally sourced meal in their restaurant. I read a lot of reviews before booking, and overall the reviews were excellent, with the usual small items people thought could be improved. One of the things that impressed me the most about this place is that during my stay, I started noticing that the items people had negatively called out in previous reviews had been addressed/corrected . (I counted 6 items in total that had been addressed - which I believe accounted for every negative comment) Not many places actually listen and change based on customer comments; but obviously this property strives to provide the best experience possible. Kudos to you for being so adaptable and forward thinking. Thank-you for a wonderful stay!

Fabulous...........absolutely a great place to stay while in PEI.

The breakfast was amazing. Fresh pressed coffee, yogurt, fruit, pastries, several different cheese and meat. Brought up fresh to our room. China cups and plates. Fancy silverware. Nice wine glasses. The room was comfy and cozy with beautiful finishings and decor. Bed was perfect. Bathroom had soaker tub and separate huge shower. Separate and private patio. Absolutely loved our stay. Tommy was so friendly and attentive to all our needs and questions. I highly recommend this wonderful place.

Don't have tv and fridge

The room was very well decorated. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast tray was great and we loved how it was just outside our door and no one had to come in the room.

excellent location to downtown heritage of the building and the preservation of historic craftsman style detail inside and outside the gastro pub food and drinks were exceptional

nothing to dislike with food, drinks and staff, they were all courteous and exceptional. but in terms of the room we were in it seemed to be short a few simple necessary/useful items like towel bars for the sink area especially, a box of “Kleenex” tissues would be useful, a bar fridge (plenty of room for one). the pillows we were offered were large, hard, dense memory foam and extremely uncomfortable and even after they gave us different ones to try the second pair were worse than the first ones. so for the amount of the cost for the room, and the quality and tone of the property it would seem that down pillows would be appropriate and much more comfortable. small details are important too and should be noted/provided for quality of room space and comfort of guests

I enjoyed everything about this Inn, the service and staff were exceptional. Food exceeded my expectations and the level of cleanliness from the restaurant to the room were top notch. Next time I’m in P.E.I I’m going to make sure I stay here again.

Delicious breakfast

Location was perfect for us to enjoy walking down to the waterfront and around to all the shops. We had dinner on the patio and it was delicious as was breakfast in the morning. The room is very stylish and every detail is well thought out. We didn't have a chance to listen to any music but loved that the albums were available in the area outside our door. Drinks on our balcony at night and coffee in the morning were a great part of the experience. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful.

I know it wouldn't have fit into the aesthetic of the room, but a fridge would have been nice to have as we were travelling around by car and would have appreciated a fridge to keep some of our snacks cold.

The staff and food were exceptional! The staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The breakfast tray and food at the restaurant were amazing. Breakfast on the patio attached to our room was really nice. Thank you for a wonderful stay. See you next time.

Great accommodations, cute room. Staff was extremely friendly. The complimentary breakfast boards were a nice touch as well.

Everything was great, no complaints.

Breakfast was so healthy and Delicious. We loved the decor and theme of this Place. Tommy, and Maggie were amazing. Terry the waiter was a bit rude to us when our dinner took an hour. Donny the bartender made a perfect cosmo. 😎😎

We had the best visit at Slaymaker & Nichols! the staff was phenomenal and very accommodating. we were blown away by it! the room was beautiful and insanely clean and the bed!!! oh my was it comfy! the food downstairs was great and we loved the complementary breakfast. the location is also really great, a nice stroll and you’re at the harbor and just blocks away from shops and dining. we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a couples retreat!

The Slaymaker and Nichols Gastro House and Inn had a vintage appearance and clean atmosphere. Staff were friendly and the food quality and beer was amazing. The breakfast in the morning was brought up to your room. Each day breakfast had something different. The location was convenient to attend local attractions and very near the waterfront. Highly recommended for this wanting to explore Prince Edward Island.

It is not an accessible-friendly location.

Very centrally located, great friendly staff/ownership, very quiet in room even given the fact the restaurant was below. Food and drinks were delicious, breakfast brunch board was the perfect way to start the morning. The room was perfectly setup and designed for a couples night. We will be back for sure! We were probably the most impressed of all our stays around Charlottetown it will be hard to beat for sure!!

Very little bad to say about this property, only recommendation would be the addition of some sort of TV in the room.
