We loved our time in Marathon at Julie and Scott's place. The location is ideal - near Sombrero Beach - and Marathon is my favorite place to stay in the Keys because of it's central location. It's a short walk to Sombero beach from the property and the dock off the back of the property provided an opportunity for a pontoon rental and a chance to see (literally) over a dozen manatees - including babies. The home worked perfectly for my family (2 adults, 2 kids) and my BIL's family (2 adults, 2 kids) - there was more than enough room for us all to stay comfortably. The pool was a perfect place to cool off after a hot day at the beach or walking around Key West (only about an hour drive). I would rent here again in a heartbeat (and we've already talked about coming back).
Quick note: We had some concerns with TS Debby approaching at the same time as our arrival and Julie was fantastic with communication and help. Also, we had a few small technical issues at the house during our stay which were swiftly addressed - and I mean swiftly - handyman/tech came out the next day and the issue was fixed.

This was the MOST communicative & responsive hosts, the most beautiful & best-stocked rental home we’ve ever stayed in! 6 adults & 4 teenage boys who lived on the dock the whole time! Location was perfection! Made for a glorious lobster mini season. Gorgeous kitchen with anything you could ever need. Beautiful views. Plenty of space. Chilled pool was amazing after long boat day. Gorgeous sunset views. Just can’t say enough about it all. We hope to be back soon!

Everything about our stay was AMAZING! Julie was incredible from the initial booking to checking out. She was very helpful and informative of local happenings for July 4th.
We have stayed in many houses in Marathon and this by far was the best! The location was perfect! We could walk to the beach, fish off the dock and meander through the waterways to get to the ocean and gulf!
My only complaint is we should have stayed longer!

Very nice house and big enough for the two families to stay. Close to Sombrero Beach. Location was perfect. A few minor issues were handled quickly by Julie. I appreciate her responsiveness.

Our group was five couples and we each had our own room and bathroom. The kitchen, dining and living area, the large porch on the second floor, and the pool accommodated us well. The beach was a 9-10 minute walk.

This was our third time staying on Sombrero Beach Road and the best experience yet. The last two times we stayed at a VRBO managed by a company. This house, managed by Julie, was much cleaner and better stocked with amenities. The location was great! And although we didn’t have any issues that needed immediate attention, I had Julie’s cell phone number so I could have contacted her directly if we needed anything. Overall great experience and hope to come back again soon!

Location was great - short walk to beach close to Publix and activities especially when it was rainy and only in the 60s. Plenty of room for 7 to stay with a spare bedroom. Wished the 1st floor bedroom had a regular door instead of a louver door - we could hear voices of those who stayed up later.

For a family vacation with 7 adults and 2 children, this property was perfect. We had plenty of room for everyone. The home is beautifully decorated, was well stocked, and very clean. With the heat, the pool was a welcome break. The kids enjoyed the kayaks. This home is close to the beach, shopping, grocery stores, and plenty of restaurants. What a memorable vacation.

Our family of 8 had such an amazing time here! The property was beautiful and clean, so close to the beach and shops too. The communication with our hosts was wonderful and very responsive. We had no problems what so ever on this trip and we will absolutely be back! Thanks Scott and Julie!

We are a family of 10, all adults, five couples. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the home, pool, local area, and beach.
The house was spotless and well-equipped.
The downstairs bedroom needed more places to hang and unpack our stuff; we made due. Adding hooks to the walls and the back of the door all over the house would help. The owner let us know that a sliding glass shower door broke, and a new one was on order. The temporary curtain rod fell several times, but no big deal.
The HVAC in the upper floors kicked off; the owner had someone out the same day to attend to it.
Maybe adding TVs to all the Bedrooms, in case folks are used to having one, would be nice.
We bought several beach chairs, umbrellas, and floats and left them for the next guest. It may be time to replace them, as several were broken. We found the coolers the day before we checked out under the sink downstairs.
This was a 4.5-star stay, but it would take very little to get it to a solid 5-star accommodation.

We just stayed the week of Christmas and it was perfect! The owner was very responsive and helpful with booking different reservations and telling us fun things to do with the kids. The location is great. It’s less than a half a mile to sombrero beach and there is a nice park there and tons of parking if you don’t want to walk. There are a handful of beach chairs provided. It was a little over a mile to Publix and sandal factory. My brothers rented a boat and the dock was perfect for that. We would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing TG week at this property. Beautifully kept and decorated property with a boat dock and a half mile walk to a white sand beach. House feels brand new.
Top quality and well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds and easily fitted our two families of four adults and six kids/ teens.
I would have no hesitation in recommending and hope to return again.
Communication with Julie was helpful prompt, friendly and professional.
I live in Miami and often come to the keys and this is the nicest property we have stayed at.
No need to look any further !

This vacation rental accommodated our family of nine perfectly. Our married children and grandchildren each had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The décor was beautiful!

Perfect location and beautiful home
We had a wonderful time staying at the beautiful home. The kids enjoyed the pool everyday and the beach was very close. The elevator was very handy for suitcases. The view from the deck was breathtaking you will never get tired of the beauty. I would highly recommend this home. We had ages for 73-8 and it was perfect. The only small negative I wish they had provided simple things like salt and Pepper we bought groceries but never thought to get them because it had always been provided anywhere we had rented before. A very minor detail . You won’t regret staying here.

Great House!
My husband and I took our 3 girls and another family to stay in Marathon. This place was amazing! Great location! We rented a boat for the week, so having the private dock on a canal was amazing. A short walk to Sombrero beach. And the pool with the kids was fabulous! Would stay here again! The owners were awesome and communicated very quickly!

You won’t be disappointed!
Very clean, great location (near Publix and the beach), excellent host that is easy to communicate with. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was well stocked. Running/biking path right outside. We rented a boat and the dock was perfect - great fishing not far off shore. Go to Irie Island Eats for the best food!

A Week in Paradise
We woke up each morning with the most beautiful view to enjoy as we breakfasted on a very comfortable deck. The house is elegantly decorated with all the comforts of home. Great pool, easy access to water and kayaking, great security system! Laundry facilities were convenient, too. We couldn’t think of a thing more to add to make this a wonderful stop for our family celebrations!

Grand Slam….The tranquil getaway!
We are a group of retired (except one) friends who wanted a Florida Keys adventure during our cold winter months and could not have been more happy with this condo in Marathon. It met our needs in every way and the elevator was a real bonus. The layout afforded everyone their own bathroom, the decor was beautiful and the setting was beautiful looking out to the channel from the spacious decks. No doubt we will return and explore more of this beautiful area in the future. The owner was extremely prompt in getting back with me on a few minor issues. This property would be ideal for any type of group as it is centrally located in the Keys making day trips very convenient.

Amazing
The house was amazing! Short walk to the beach. Kitchen was well stocked compared to most places we’ve stayed. Getting the kayaks and paddleboards in and out at the dock was interesting but made for funny stories and pictures. Loved having our own pool. Would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect House in Great Location
The home was very nice, with plenty of rooms and places to gather. Kitchen was well equipped, pool is quite small but did the job for our group of six. Location is perfect with easy walk to Sombrero Beach, lots in town in Marathon or drive to Key West or Islamorada to spread out, and ideal for boating with dock and easy access to gulf or ocean.

Beautiful new condo
We have stayed at many Marathon home rentals and this was one of our favorites. We had three elderly individuals with us so the elevator was a lifesaver. The condo is very clean and spacious. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. The outdoor patio was well equipped but the bugs made it tough to enjoy at dawn or dusk. Although the pool was small, we used it most days. The heater stopped working twice while we were there but the owner was quick to respond and tell us how to turn it back on. We would absolutely recommend this beautiful condo to others and stay there ourselves again! It’s located very close (walking distance) to Sombrero Beach and a quick drive to the grocery store and restaurants. Don’t hesitate to book it:)

Amazing and relaxing week!
First, let me start by saying that the our great experience with this VRBO rental started with the communication with the property owner, Julie. She was such a pleasure to work with! Initially, I messed up on part of the booking and instead of telling me how to fix it with VRBO she fixed the problem for me by reaching out to them and quickly resolved the issue . Also, I had lots of questions as our trip got closer about Marathon and the property which she thoroughly answered. She is full of lots of good local knowledge!
10 of us stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend and had a great time! We loved the location. We enjoyed our mornings sitting on the balcony overlooking the water and watching the boaters go by. It is easy walking distance to Sombero beach, which is a beautiful beach! Plenty of restaurants near by. Key West is about an hour or so away which made for a great day trip. Be sure to be on the look out for Fred on your way there!
The house is beautifully decorated and well appointed. It had enough pots, pans and dishes you needed to cook a dinner for a large group. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Also, the pool, kayaks and paddle boards were great too! We definitely took advantage of them!
I hope those who follow enjoy there stay as much as we did!

Our group of 9 had a fantastic week staying here. The home was very clean and well stocked with everything you needed and more. Check in and check out were very easy. Would definitely stay her again. Julie offered great communication and easily answered questions and accommodated us.

Great VRBO experience. House was clean and well stocked. Pool and dock were perfect for what we needed. Loved the location near to sombrero beach and short ride to the mouth of sisters creek. Will be a go to house for us in future trips to keys.

The grand slam
We thoroughly enjoyed our family stay at this very clean and beautifully decorated rental home. Close to a Sombrero beach and very convenient to grocery stores nearby. The elevator was a definite plus. We loved sitting in the pool overlooking the canal. It has great access to taking a boat out to explore the waters and dine out along the way. What a paradise that we were able to share. Thank you.
