Nothing. It's was beautiful.

The house was beautiful and very well maintained. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio in the sunshine. Grace was a fantastic host and was really helpful when I had a technical problem with the TV.

The only issue was the steep hill.

The house was a good size for 6 people. The kitchen was generally well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The owners were extremely helpful both before and during our stay. Matlock is a lovely place, situated near many top attractions that the Peak District has to offer.

Lovely old house. Well-stocked, comfy beds and pub right next door! Was too hot to do too much walking etc, but we had a lovely time in the surrounding area.

Long walk down and back a steep hill to town might be a bit of an ordeal for older or less-fit guests. Not really the property’s fault though!

The location was excellent - close to family and places to visit.

The location is quiet and a great base for visiting the many places of interest in and around Matlock. All the bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. We particularly liked the large dining kitchen. Communication with the owners was excellent, before and during our stay. Highly recommend Sherwood House to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in a beautiful part of Derbyshire!

Everything was just perfect for our family of five, two adults and three girls, 17, 15 & 12. Lots of space. Having two toilets and the shower downstairs and bath upstairs worked well for us. The seating area in the dining area as well as the living was ideal too. The girls loved having double beds in every room too. Perfect location to walk into Matlock Bath taking about 20 minutes 💗

Excellent location. The property is in immaculate condition, centrally located and is a must stay for those visiting the area. We would consider staying here again when we visit next.

This house is outstanding , spotless so tastefully and beautifully decorated. Every room so comfortable great for groups of friends or famililes. The Host is so helpfull.

Beautifully appointed, spacious and comfortable house. Tidy and spotlessly clean. We really loved the big family kitchen and catching the setting sun for an evening drink on the terrace.
