This property is very unique. We enjoyed our stay and would love to revisit in warmer weather to enjoy the pool and courtyard.

Great location in Sacramento. Everything you need within a few minutes. Large park close by for running or walking. Well equipped and unique experience. Not your average house but a ton of charm. Great outdoor area for relaxing.

We had a wonderful time staying at this home for the weekend! The only thing that bothered us were the shackles hanging from the fireplace and prison peepholes in the cupboard. We knew it was an “artistic” choice, but it still made everything feel a bit creepy. We didn’t see any pictures or mention of this before arrival. However, the rest of the house was beautiful and we loved the pool table and swimming pool!

Even better than the pictures. Quirky little viking/hobbit cottage, incredibly charming. Wanted to find a unique place to spend a relaxing weekend while visiting friends in Sacramento and this provided exactly that. Already planning to go back.

Three days in this beautiful "Hobbit Home" the details of homes, from lighting, walls, pool table and built in steam room to the courtyard gave my group a lot to talk about. It was fun and relaxing; close to everything we wanted to do. We were able to get Doordash and Instacart for things we needed. Beautiful neighborhood with a very central location. Highly recommended location. My partner and I had the main house and our friends and family had the other home, we couldn't be more pleased about privacy. It's a perfect vacation home. We miss being there already.

This property was a wonderful and unique place to stay. It has a timeless charm and is very well kept. Communication was clear and prompt with the manager and it was in a nice neighborhood. We absolutely loved our stay at this unique location.

A cozy, unique gem of a house! Old rustic charm with enough upgrades that you don’t feel stuck in the dark ages. The back house has 2 bedrooms and a sitting room, which is where we set up the blow up mattress that was tucked into a closet so that each of my teens could have their own space—perfection! My favorite part was the outdoor space. The courtyard was a great place to retreat and read a book. Close to grocery store and conveniently located. Beware tall people, low ceilings. As an older home it was somewhat drafty. Luckily our weather was mild. Overall this was a great place to stay and I really enjoyed it.

A wonderful property; perfect for a family with children. Beautiful house and pool, with a hot tub enjoyed by all, especially the kids going from pool to hot tub and back again. Highly recommended.

Was a once in a lifetime opportunity to stay in this fascinating house. So many unique details. Beds were beyond comfortable, pool and backyard quiet and relaxing.

As soon as you walk through the front door, you feel transported. This is a perfect property for our family while visiting our extended family in Sacramento; although, this house is definitely a destination in itself. Love the pool and the pool table! We look forward to coming back soon!

Four of us stayed in this enormous home. We had a very relaxing stay, with much of the time spent in the pool. This home has 2 sections. There is a loft bedroom in the main house and there is a separate house out back with 2 bedrooms. Both houses are separated by a pool and spa. Pool was perfect temperature, no heat required. The hot tub you can heat and it warms up pretty quick. The directions to use the spa and pool are a bit intimidating, but nothing you can't manage if you know how to read and follow the steps given to you. House did have a/c, but we were happy opening up all the windows upstairs at night. The pool table is a nice touch. My kids were very happy with this place, as they got the house out back for themselves. Very quiet neigh orhood, and we had no problems ordering uber eats with front door service from the many different restaurants close by. Only thing missing was a BBQ, but again, we were lazy and ordered out most nights and ate by the pool! Overall, we really enjoyed this home. Thank you for having us.

The photos of this Carr Jones home speak for themselves. The main house, courtyard with pool/hot tub/steam, and guest house are decorated beautifully and make for a most memorable and enjoyable stay. The owner had fresh flowers arranged in the living room and courtyard. In addition, the owner provided a useful guide to both the home and neighborhood. We loved walking through the neighborhood and were just a few minutes' walk from outstanding bakeries, coffee shops, and restaurants. It was a treat to stay here with family when in Sacramento for a wedding.

It is located in a beautiful established Sacramento neighborhood. Close to the heart of the city but has a feeling of being removed from it all. The home is a work of art. Carr Jones left his unique style for generations to enjoy and we truly did. It is furnished beautifully. We are so happy to have enjoyed the home and plan to return.
