It was comforting to know, from the guestbook, that we weren't the only ones lulled into scrapping adventurous plans and just staying on the boat!
Wile away the peaceful hours on the observation deck, watching the wildlife that seem to visit the boat, and welcome back the fishing tours at the end of the day from the comfort of the screened porch.
Arrange a tour thru rental management, or catch bass and catfish from the boat with a $17 3-day license. Watch for those elusive river gar, not to mention the gators and manatees!
Take a short walk, or venture into town for your pick of great seafood restaurants.
All the fun of a houseboat, with the convenience of shore power, designated off-street parking, and amenities close by!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat! Clean, well-stocked, great location and just an all-around unique experience. I highly recommend it!

What a peaceful long weekend! The property was super clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. You can walk to the local shops and restaurants, drive over to SGI for a little beach time, or simply sit and watch the boats go by. We have vacationed in this area several times, and I think this was my favorite trip. I am hopeful we can stay on the houseboat again very soon.

My wife anf I had an amazing time visiting Apalachicola. Great food and awesome place to stay within walking distance to downtown. Great place on the water, highly recommend for a quick getaway!

This houseboat was so clean and comfortable, better than expected! We loved sitting on the screened in porch and also the sundeck upstairs. It was great to watch the boats coming and going and the gorgeous sunrises/sunsets.
Thank you for the care and attention to details given to this place!
We will definitely be back and hopefully able to stay longer.

Love the location and the house. Well stocked for guest and cute layout. My only complaint would be the shower size. I get it that it’s a house boat shower just super small. I would still rent again

We had a great time! But be careful though, because this place is addictive. We planned on a day at the beach but ended up spending all of our time here. We absolutely loved being on the screened porch watching the wildlife and boats going by right in front of us.

We stayed at this property as a getaway from the stress of our careers and to celebrate our 32nd anniversary. Our stay was awesome!! The houseboat was clean, quiet and tucked away from the crowds downtown. It was well equipped as well...we cooked all our meals there with no problem. The highlight of the trip was spotting 3 manatees right outside our back door!
We will definitely stay there again!

Excellant place to kickback and relax with nature. The Houseboat was very clean and had everything available to enjoy your stay.

Enjoy the beautiful soothing view, looking out on the marsh and the bay. While you relax on the screened porch, wave at the recreational and shrimp boaters as they pass by. Added to this, the spacious living and bedroom as well as a fully equipped kitchen and bath are all you need to find your peace. Our only regret is that we didn’t plan a longer stay.

This was our first houseboat experience. It was so much fun. The houseboat is very roomy and perfectly located. We enjoyed sitting on the upper deck as well as the screened in porch and watching all the birds and boats go by. It was sparkling clean inside and had everything we'd ever need. Very nicely decorated and a very comfy king size bed.
We will definitely do this again!

This is a sweet retreat. The houseboat was so very comfortable with nice amenities and decor. A very short walk to all Apalachicola has to offer. When we were not out in town, we spent most of our time on the lovely screened in porch. We've already reserved for next year.

Everything as advertised. Clean, well stocked. Screened porch is awesome! Houseboat is spacious and in a no wake zone so boats go slow. People on fishing boats wave including shrimp boats. Friendly folks. My wife and I were the only people in our party, so we had plenty of room. I talked to owner on phone; nice lady. Traffic jams are non-existent.

We have been coming to Apalachicola for over 20 years and are so excited to have found this gem! What a quaint and relaxing place to stay! All the amenities you could want or need. We plan to make this our go to place to stay when visiting, so we will definitely be back, hopefully sooner than later! The porch and deck are amazing!! Thank you for this great rental!

We loved the place . We will try to come back to it.
It was so much fun enjoy fishing there . Also watching the shrimp boats coming in . The back porch is very very relaxing. Stayed comfortable with go cold air . The only thing I would say is the bed room bed mattress definitely needs to be changed and updated. Other then that I have no nagtive thangs to say about it .

Charming spot for fishermen and honeymooners alike!!! Close to everything in town! Come by on a weekend and you can listen to live music in the summer!!! Relax and watch the boats go by! Historic town and great atmosphere!

Clean, excellent location!
My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. The location was perfect for walking to all the great restaurants and shops nearby. The house was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. We loved the view from the top deck and watching the boats go by which gently rocked the house. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it to others!

Peaceful but convenient to downtown
Great getaway. Brought our bikes and kayaks. Not upscale, but perfect for our tastes. This will now be our go to rental.

What a relaxing home on the water. Clean, neat, and everything you could want. . We saw tons of birds and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Planning our next visit Back already.

Not your ordinary living quarters
Everything about the boathouse was awesome and the listing and pictures didn't do it justice. Everything was super clean and well kept. It was within walking distance of everything and will absolutely come back and do it again some time. The whole boathouse idea is great and will definitely check out more in the future

A truly different laid-back 4 days!! Fishing, reading, eating seafood. Walking to restaurants was convenient.

Perfection
We so enjoyed staying here. It was our first time on a houseboat and in Apalachicola and neither disappointed. House was clean and set up ready. The location is awesome. We watched the boats leaving in the early mornjng and a group of dolphins, all from our porch!!! We highly suggest staying here!

Alligator under the bed!
So much fun to stay “on the River.” Somewhere in the middle of the night we awoke to the bed moving. Actually it was the houseboat moving. I told my husband there were alligators under the bed. It was a hoot!
The houseboat was better than any hotel room or condo. So much more homey. Had every amenity one could want plus extras that the owner included. And, the upstairs deck was the best viewing area anywhere.
Who can not love a few days in Apalachicola. So many oysters, so little time! We love the town. We visit every year.

Awesome vacation!
This was a one of a kind experience! We enjoyed the convenience to downtown Apalachicola and the experience of staying on the water. The houseboat was clean and very comfortable. Will definitely do again!

Tranquility
The houseboat exceeded our expectations. The views were beautiful and even though it rained daily we were able to still enjoy the outdoors thanks to the screened in porch. The upper roof deck was utilized for both sunrise and sunset views as well as the full moon reflecting off the bay.

Fishing Trip
Had a nice time staying here. Great location and amazing fishing! Enjoyed the house boat. Had everything we needed and more. We will definitely stay here in the future.

First time staying on a houseboat...had an amazing time! Very clean...furnished with everything you would need. Quiet...relaxing get away...cant wait to rent it again!

A calm and relaxing way to end our winter stay in FL. There are so many things to do and visit in this area, but we loved just sitting out on the screen porch or on the upper deck. Watching boats of all kinds pass within 20’ or so of us was entertaining and loved how they caused gentle sways of the houseboat. Already booked for next year!
