Well, I would give 0 star if the owner is not so kind. 1) There is no window in the room. This is pretty shocking to me as it is not indicated in the listing that there is no window. No window = humid smell + bad ventilation + bad air quality. 2) Noise. Since there is no window, and I am afraid of suffocation. I have to on the toilet ventilation and the aircon for the whole night. It is horrible to stay in an enclosed room with whining of both ventilation fan and loud air-conditioning. I could barely sleep. The room does not have a good sound insulation too. I can hear people stomping, shifting furnitures up-stairs. I can hear people entering the guesthouse at night, the sound of digital door lock and talking between guest/owner. 3) Light. Unfortunately, the bathroom ventilation and light are controlled by one switch. And the bathroom has a translucent glassdoor. And the room has an elongated shape with bathroom door directly facing the beds. Switching on the ventilation whole night, means the light will shine on me for the whole night. Another reason why I couldn't sleep. 4) Aircon blowing directly on my head. It is fortunate that I didn't develop immediate headache, so that my trip is only affected by sleep deficiency. But the beds and the aircon is directly aligned in one line which is bad. The aircon will just blowing directly onto you, no matter how it is being adjusted. Switching off the aircon is not an option as it makes the room suffocating(the room does not have a window) . So I have to tolerated the wind blowing along with the noise and the light issues. 5) Unexpected planned water tank repair. I was informed by the owner there is a water tank repair arranged(next day) on the check-in day and there will be no water supply. I sincerely hope the owner would just unlist the room during the affected date. I couldn't imagine, why would people want to pay for the room if water supply is being cut off from morning to afternoon.

Cleanliness is tip top, big shower room and very comfortable bed. There is 5 tables at the entrance for guests to sit and have meals. Very recommended. But you need to have car to travel around as the guesthouse is outskirts.

Overall it is excellent and will come back again. One of the best guest house ever stayed.

Location is a bit far to town centre.

The bed was not too firm, the room was kept clean and tidied. The noise come through depending on which room you stay, the pump on the roof keeps going every now and then, dogs barking at late night early morning and other guests watching tv very loud at night but it stopped when we asked to turn it down. The first room we stayed were all good for the noise. We had good sleep in general.

The kitchen is misrepresented, I was specifically looking for a place where we can cook for ourselves but it only had kettles, microwave and a tiny rice cooker. No stove. I don’t know if you can list that as a kitchen. Location is far away from the city centre, you need to scooter around or grab so would have stayed in the centre if it was gonna be technically without a kitchen. Unfortunately lots of guests’ shoes and sandals got stolen from the gated front yard during the stay. You have to get ur shoes off inside the house so many guests left their shoes outside in the gated front yard. They have plastic cases for shoes inside too, but if the neighbourhood is like this the owner should let all the customers know to keep their belongings inside cause there are thieves in the area. Our shoes are worn and hard to come by it’s not about the money it takes effort to find and it won’t sell we got it second hand too 😅. When we told the owners about this, they didn’t seem very fussed and blamed us and other guests for leaving the shoes in the gated yard, which is quite common in Malaysia all the other houses did it too. From now there should be a sign or a warning about this, otherwise it’s unfair for the guests as the owners won’t take care afterwards when things get stolen. Soundproofing is poor, but it’s usual across the county. Otherwise the onwner and other staffs were pretty good, they even gave us the footage of security camera.
