The hot water went out everyday and we had to call maintenance twice until they just showed us how to fix it behind a locked door. It went out multiple times a day which made showering miserable and they were already aware of the issue when we called the first time. The silverware was not clean and had to be hand washed prior to use. They had jelly and grease all over them. This is more of a cleaning and maintenance issue as the house itself was great. Disappointed in the amount of money spent to have no hot water.

The location is fabulous. The many ensuite bathrooms is a great design. I would stay here again if the hot tub was larger and in a different location. It's ideal for 2 adults or small kids and is tucked into an enclosure. For skiers who wish to visit and tell stories after a long day, it's too remote from the living spaces (hint- can't supervise chidren) and too small for 4 or more adults to enjoy cocktails.

The views of Canaan Valley are incredible from the deck and patio. Minor touches/improvements and attention to details (remote controls w/ dead batteries, ceiling fan broken, updated and thorough instructions, etc.) could really turn this place into something special. AWD-4WD definitely needed in winter or bad weather but you are rewarded with the view.

It was good except the dishwasher backed up and we had to unclog the line…now understand why the wooden kitchen floor is warped…would guess this has happened before. Also, the king bedroom on lowest floor has a shower that doesn’t get hot water and the soak tub in the main floor king bath isn’t connected to plumbing. Other than that, it was great

Gross, from the lack of cleanliness and neglect for everyday comforts (poor quality bed pillows, cheap and dirty bedspreads, inadequate flat wear for all of us--12--to share a meal) to drawers full of mouse droppings and window sills covered with hundreds of dead bugs, your money is better spent elsewhere. Walls have holes, washing machine and TVs didn't work, this property just showed subpar efforts to even the minimum of cleaning, comfort, or maintenance throughout. I was disappointed by the conditions and chafed to put my family in the position to stay in such a poorly appointed property (toilet paper holders falling out of the wall, free standing tub without plumbing, 3 bean bag chairs devoid of 'beans', just empty sacs). Note that the property photos do NOT include any of the bathrooms...The whole place just seemed ratty and neglected and that the furnishings were leftover odds and ends (one of the bunk bed 'blankets' was an old sleeping bag with a broken zipper and stuffing coming out of a large hole). Although the rental agency was very helpful and responsive (it was 31degrees and this property didn't have blankets--staff provided them from their own personal homes), the house itself showed no pride in ownership. I can not recommend this property.

Reviewer Comments: this home was clean and in a good location. there was plenty of space for everyone to have a place to gather. the outdoor patio on the bottom level is very nice and spacious. Some of the mattresses on the beds could certainly be relplaced, but some were comfy. One burner on teh grill did not work. the hot tub was great. The only reason I would not recommend this property is because it is noisy. I don;'t mean traffic or outside noise, I mean inside noise. Everything is wooden. Large wooden doors, large wooden steps, wood floors and they all creak and bang. Two bedrooms are right below the kitchen dining room area. those sleeping in these rooms hear every chair scooting, every cabinet door opening and every step taken on the floor. the top stairs going to the upper level creak like in a haunted house. No matter how much you try to tiptoe. WE were sleeping in the room below my mother. She walks with a cane. When she got up in the night to go to the bathroom is sounded like someone was pounding a hammer above our room. If you have a group and they all plan to go to bed at the same time and awaken at the same time, or they are heavy sleepers then yu won't have any issues with this house.

I would recommend that HVAC is unlocked on the lower level since we could only adjust the thermostat on main living level, the downstairs was a chilly 64 degrees. The kitchen appliances were very nice, I would recommend the kitchen be better organized to find like items and ensure that you have the right cookware for large groups.

The house was spacious so 13 was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need plus more! Hot water went out and property manager responded immediately. The littlest skiers among us (5) could have used actual ski-in/ski-out because… short little legs. But adults thought short walk no big deal at all.

We had a great stay at Timberview! Lovely house and was very clean upon arrival. Several light bulbs need replaced. Great ski in/ski out location. A short walk to the blue square that quickly led to a green dot location.

Very spacious with en suites for all but two bedrooms (a bunk room and queen share a bath off the rec room). That was very nice for our multiple families. The house is beautiful and convenient to slopes.

Our only concern was overall cleanliness. There was dust EVERYWHERE and certain areas looked like they weren't vacuumed/cleaned for a while. Also, majority of beds are in dire need of replacement. Overall, we would stay here again but please ensure the place is properly cleaned prior to guest arrival.

Kitchen had everything that you needed and was supplied with quality utensils, pots, etc. We were also impressed with Timberline Mountain. Even though the weather was warmer than normal Timberline had the slopes in great condition for our skiers. Timberline is really a hidden gem.... Hope to visit again!!!

The house is spacious, clean, and well partitioned to accommodate a multi generational large family like ours or allow for multiple families to live together. One of the larger tables out there - this is the thing that frustrates us everywhere else. This one can actually accommodate all of us. The slopes are about 200 feet away, a 2 minute hike. We will return.

Excellent time, hiking, visiting, sightseeing, eating. Our party consisted of an age group of 30-94 and had several excellent cooks and wine snobs. Because of this, we were unable to partake of the various local restaurants, but we ate extremely good, gourmet meals. Looking forward to doing it all over again!!!

The sunset views from the house were amazing, and we enjoyed watching the wildlife! A fawn was born in front of the deck while we were there. Overall, the house is nicely furnished with comfortable beds, lots of towels and blankets, and plenty of kitchen stuff. What was sketchy was the TV and internet. It was being addressed while we were there, but we did go the week without sufficient wifi that 4 of us were dependent to work on. However, the rental company did try their best to make it right with us. Generally, the house was clean and ready for us, but there were a few minor maintenance things in the house that it seems could easily be addressed (including the dishwasher). The grass was high making the fire pit unusable when we arrived. We called, and again, the staff got the issue addressed. Then, we could enjoy the fire pit area and roast marshmallows. We used the hot tub one time, and it was clean and functioning well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The views from Timber View is really breathtaking and the house is very comfortable for either a large family or 3 or 4 couples. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out with two separate living rooms. The outdoor space was really nice and the fire pit was a lot of fun during the cool mountain evenings.

It is a beautiful home with plenty of space. The professional staff made for a seamless check in and check out process. Our only complaint was the cleanliness and condition of some of the indoor items. We had to run all glasses trough the dishwasher before using them as they were dirty...the tops covered with a layer of dust. Many pieces of silverware had food remaining on them. Most of the bed comforters were dirty and damaged...a couple in the bunk room had holes all over them. We had to wash all pillowcases before sleeping as they were covered with hairs and dust. The floors under the beds were caked with dust and dust balls. As said previously, we loved the property, but there are serious cleanliness issues that made us uncomfortable and took time and energy to correct.
