Staff were always helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable and restaurant and bar area was also pleasing. Nothing was too much trouble. Car parking was also excellent.

Someone in a bedroom above ours walking to and fro for most of the night causing the old floorboards to creak, so keeping us awake on a night before a long journey . I know it is an old creaky place but ..

Convenient location for our purpose and restaurant on the premises is helpful. The room was comfortable and the building has character.

Our room overlooked the road side of the building and the storage area for bins, etc. quite noisy early mornings and late nights! Plumbing could do with an overhaul…..toilet took several flushes, shower hot and cold. Breakfast rules were not clear and didn’t make a lot of sense to be honest, e.g. charging separately for coffee from the buffet if you had a cooked breakfast.

The welcome on entry was very nice and the room was lovely ,a good size and very clean.a very comfy bed . Dinner and bar area was great and prices were good. The staff were great especially the manager who was so apolgetic with my steak ( see below ) The breakfast was plentiful and well cooked .great outside area which would be lovely in the summer.

I ordered a rare steak and it came back twice medium and no way near a rare steak.

Lovely old Georgian building, yes, it did have some imperfections, but still a great place to stay. Evening meal was a large burger, extremely tasty. Also a good price. Good choice of ales. Breakfast was good too. Rooms are very comfortable, large spacious rooms. Recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was a disorganized catastrophe. Double room on the small side. Window latches broken, so there could not keep windows open.

It was a warm evening and night and our room on the top floor was rather hot. Because of security concerns we could open the window only partially.

I thought the hotel was good, the room let it down massively.

The room was extremely warm/hot. This was due to the window not being able to be opened more then 5cm’s. The roller blind was poor and it would of benefitted from having a good/blackout set of curtains.
