We traveled to Long Beach to celebrate my mom’s milestone birthday with three adults and an infant under 2. This property was the perfect spot that we can’t stop raving about. Nelson is extremely accommodating, down to the crib, high chair and beach toys for the little one. The house has easy access in a safe neighborhood. We walked to several restaurants and shops - including a great donut place at Granny’s, Ralphs grocery and a jaunt to the beach. If you have a lot of stuff to take with you to the beach (umbrellas, chairs, children essentials) I recommend you drive vs. walk because the closest beach entrance is stairs only and handicap ramp is another 15 min walk. If you pack light, it’s an easy 10 minutes to the ocean front though! The house is clean. Beds and towels are hotel quality. The patio space is beautiful and relaxing at night. You have access to laundry and the parking spot is essential if you drive in. We’re already talking about when we can come back! Thank you, Nelson!

Everything went well except for some confusion about arrival time. The owner thought that the drive from LAX was going to be longer than expected. Therefore he was not there for a few minutes to let us in. After that owner was very helpful.

Nelson's property was just perfect. Sitting on the deck was very peaceful and charming. The neighborhood was quiet, and it was an easy walk to restaurants and the beach. Everything that you would need was provided for. Nelson even left us some treats when we checked in which was a great touch. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer. Next time, we come to visit again, we would love to stay here.

We loved Nelson’s place! Lush gardens surround you everywhere you look. Beds are very comfortable, plenty of space for 4. It was THE best stocked Vrbo as far as extras go. Need a sewing kit, a wagon and supplies for the beach, 2 kinds of starch, baby or adult diapers? He’s got them for you! The parking spot is priceless for the area, very good to have. A few issues, hard to find, it’s accessed in an ally of an ally. It could use a good deep clean, all the areas you use are clean, but the corners, baseboards, etc were dusty and the laundry area is kinda cowbwebby. It is an older home, we had a hard time getting enough hot water for 4 girls. Nelson is so kind, and he follows your lead, if you want to chat he’s friendly but if not he stays clear. Overall, a solid 8.

I've never done anything like this before, but decided to try something different than the cookie cutter hotel. Im glad we did and that this was my first experience because it was great. After driving literally cross the country, it was perfect for me and my adult son. 2 bedrms and 2 baths so we had our own space but comfortable living room for us to hangout in also. Lovely kitchen and dining area for meals. The owner thought of EVERYTHING. We appreciated the treat of cookies left for us. Most importantly to me, I felt safe. I appreciated the deck to sit on to have my coffee or work. It truly does feel like you're in a treehouse when you're out there. If I went to CA again, I'd stay there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nelson’s place. He has put a lot of effort into making a beautiful garden around the balcony. You will feel like you are in an actual tree house! The home is well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including beach chairs and umbrellas. It is in an excellent, convenient location with your own parking space. Very secure. The only downside for us were the super soft beds, but other than that we loved our stay. Nelson is an excellent host and we highly recommend his property.

All and all we really enjoyed our stay. Communication was great. The owner met us and walked us to the rental. He even helped carry our bags up to the house (I was traveling with a couple elderly ladies).Very very nice.
Upon arrival, there was a welcome sign on the counter with 4 large chocolate chip cookies. Such a nice touch. :) On the listing it showed that there was also a hot tub we could use. He stated that it should have been taken down from the listing. But since I saw it still up on Vrbo, he set the hot tub up for us and even provided 4 bath robes. So accommodating. On the negative side, the unit had a foul odor. Like cats or mildew. The unit was clean but we couldn't get rid of the smell. We used some cleaning supplies and opened the windows which really helped. Also, the bed looked lumpy so it made us nervous, however...the beds were extremely comfortable and we had great nights sleep. All in all, great place for how affordable it was. :)

I brought my Elderly Mother to visit my brother and her Grand children in Bluff Heights. The Tree House was local and prefect for our visit. Nelson was an excellent host, helpful when we arrived and absent but contactable the rest of the time. The Tree House is furnished like a home rather than a holiday rental and had everything that we needed. Its in a quiet, lovely neighbourhood, just a short walk from the Supermarket in one direction and beach in the other. I would recommend.

We had a last minute stay at Nelson's place, and it was wonderful! We were close to Disney, lots of restaurants, shops, & the beach! The beds were extremely comfortable, and we loved all the personal touches. The place was well stocked with anything you need! Nelson was great & available to meet us when we checked in. I would highly recommend staying at his place!

The accommodations were clean. The place felt like home with comfortable beds and living spaces. The yard was beautiful and the outdoor patio a nice place to relax at the end of the day with what felt like total privacy. The reserved parking space was an added bonus.
There were lots of basic supplies so would recommend checking things out before you go grocery shopping.
Location was also great. Close to a large grocery store, restaurants and coffee shop.
We would definitely and highly recommend the Tree House to anyone travelling to the area.

My partner, daughter and I truly enjoyed our time at Nelson’s Tree House!! This little mother in law house has everything you could need for a relaxing time away from home. The beds were so comfortable and cozy. In every nook and cranny of the house, there was something useful from the great bbq tools to the extra plugs for devices. The free parking space definitely came in handy. We loved the patio/balcony. The outdoor area needs some trimming. We accidentally ran into a tree branch!! Overall, I would stay at Nelson’s house again.

We were two couples staying at Nelson’s home. It was as expected from the photos. It was very clean and very well stocked. The beds were extremely comfortable! Check in and communication with Nelson was smooth and easy. We enjoyed our stay very much, especially the cookies waiting for us on arrival.

Two bed/bath and full kitchen was ideal for mom and son vacation. Loved having meals on the deck of the treehouse and a quick hot tub after long days of walking. Just under an hour walk on the beach boardwalk to Shoreline Village to the north and Naples to the south. Grocery store within a few blocks open til 1am was so convenient. We totally lucked out finding this property! It's like its own getaway, with a beautiful garden on the balcony which makes you feel you're leaving the streets behind, and also gives a lot of privacy. The home was so cozy - fully stocked kitchen, well kept and very clean bathrooms, large sofa to crash on, games and beach gear to keep us busy. The property is fully fenced, and it's great that the apartment is over a garage so our kids could run around without getting out or disturbing downstairs neighbors. The location was absolutely perfect. Plus Nelson was an accommodating host, who met us when we arrived at midnight and was "available yet not present" so we felt we had the place to ourselves. We are seriously already considering returning next year. Thank you Nelson!

The “Tree House” is a fantastic rental. The property is in a nice quiet neighborhood near to many amenities. Parking is included at the property which made things very easy for access. The garden and trees around the deck made it feel like your own oasis. Nelson made check in a breeze and the small details such as a welcome message and cookies made you feel appreciated, he’d also scheduled some candles and lights to come on in the evening which added to the warmth of the property. Well stocked kitchen and very comfortable couch and beds. Would love to stay here again.

The treehouse was a the perfect vacation for myself and my family. It was private and had a pretty patio. The house had everything we could have needed to enjoy our stay. It was cozy and relaxing and the beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet. There was a coffee shop that I could walk to in the mornings that allowed to enjoy a morning walk while I drank my tea. I felt like the location was perfect for beach trips as well as the aquarium. We had a wonderful time and would happily stay here again.

We've stayed at many rental homes in and outside of the US and this is definitely in our top 3. Nelson has paid a lot of attention to what guests might need and everything was top notch. Loved the lush garden and being able to walk to the beach -- beach towels, chairs, toys, etc were all supplied. Would definitely return if we had the occasion to be in Long Beach in the future.
