The bedrooms were clean, very comfy beds and everything we needed they had. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the garden due to weather but was lovely to have.

Only one bathroom between 8 people. A mirror near a plug would be great for the ladies for doing hair etc.

Nicely kept property, clean and elegant

The lounge is nice and the sofa is comfortable. We were able to arrange a late checkout.

There was crusty brown detritus on the blankets on 2 of the single beds. (I wasn't willing to do a scratch & sniff check) We found a previous occupants dirty underwear by the double bed leading us believe it hadn't been cleaned/changed properly either. There were bottle caps from a previous occupant under/around the sofa showing the lounge hadn't been cleaned/tidied properly. Considering the current covid situation and expected extra hygiene levels, the property clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. We found ourselves sleeping in the remaining 2 single beds as we felt these were the only clean ones. Not ideal! The bath is cracked in the bottom and therefore can't actually be used as a bath without potentially flooding the place. The plug socket in the hallway is loose and coming away from the wall, it wasn't issue for us but I'd be hesitant having small children near it as it's low-level. The kitchen worktops are badly damaged. Once booked, the £300 deposit was requested by bank transfer/credit card despite the ad saying cash on arrival. This just felt uncomfortable. The property management company (not booking.com) were only interested in: 1) getting the £300 deposit 2) getting us to send photos for their cleaning company. 3) ensuring we only used 2 beds so they could save on linen. When asked if they were interested in righting the issues or compensating us for their poor standards, our messages were ignored. Despite everything listed above, no compensation or refund was offered. We still cleaned up after ourselves, stripped the beds as expected and left the property in a cleaner condition than we found it (having picked up after previous occupants)

Location was ideal. We bought groceries and made our own breakfast in the kitchen, which was in need of refurbishment but perfectly functional. Towels, bedding, toiletries, tea and coffee were provided which was much appreciated.

It suited our needs very well but was a little shabby in places.
