Good rooms in a small hotel in the centre of a small town near the airport - so a nice change from the typical big airport hotels

The hotel is modern and very well appointed located in a quiet town just a couple of miles from the Airport. Run by the owner who is a nice guy, very approachable and helpful. He created the place during Pandemic and took his time resulting in a super establishment with some great features.

Not an issue with the hotel but most of the eating/drinking establishments in the town don't open on Mondays. Any other time it appears to be reasonably well served. I will ensure I am prepared for future visits.

Hotel Fi'Lin in Machelen is within a short car ride from the Brussels International airport, about 10-15 minutes. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you straight to the airport, which is very convenient, and the ride costs only 2.50 Euros. The room was extra spacious, with a large bed and confortable living space/bathroom. The staff was extremely helpful and responive to my questions about the parking and accomidations. My flight was delayed by 5 hours and I didn't arrive to the hotel until 1am in the morning. The hotel staff was exceptionally helpful on a short notice and provided an easy access to my room after a late arrival. Happy with my stay.

I would recommend staying at this hotel. The room was spacious, very clean, cozy, had everything you could need, coffee and tea included. Staff was very helpful and nice.

The absence of an elevator

The breakfast is very various and rich. The location is good, and also has 3 parking spots (make sure you check availability prior) Good amenities and clean. Room with code access.

The bathroom door is on a slider/glider. Thus is not really tight to the frame ( don't know how to put it but you can hear everything from your bathroom, which is not a problem for a family, but for a couple at beginning of relationship might feel awkward. to hear the farts and dumps)

Near the airport. Its possible to come and leave in any time and very beautiful room.

My room was unilaterally changed 2 hours before my arrival when I was flying and with no internet (since my cel is from USA and blocked, with no possible european sim card.) It provoked that my code were not correct and I involuntarily opened other room (my previous assigned room) which was occupied , creating a very embarrasing situation with that guest. The shower temperature was extremely hot and difficult to regulate with no instructions. Probably that was the reason for the room change.
