Breakfast is included and was very good. Casa Del Rio is located in a good area, not too far away from shopping & restaurants.

I wish they had offered to take us on a golf cart ride to see the complete resort. It is a bit hilly if you walk around on your own.

Built to a very high standard and well organised throughout. Staff very helpful and friendly.

There is a lack of atmosphere and cohesion you find in more conventional hotels; a bit sterile.

This property is so nice. New, modern and super clean. I highly recommend it. 2 large beautiful pools, plus a little pool with a slide. Breakfast was so good. The chorizo taco thing was amazing. Our room had a outdoor kitchen we shared with one other room, but the room was empty. In room refrigerator. The staff was so helpful and on top of everything. Can’t say enough good things. And not far at all from town.

The staff at the front desk and restaurant were wonderful. The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the restaurant had very good breakfast options and view of the volcano. The landscaping on the property was very lush.

This is a gated community with different types of properties. I was surprised that the "family villa" actually was just two separate, non-adjoining rooms with no indoor shared space. There was no indoor table, desk, luggage rack, or even a chair inside. It would have been hard to have had a meal indoors or to work on your laptop. I would not recommend to guests with young children since the bedroom doors only lock from the inside and only open to the outdoors, not to the other room. Although the exterior door to the "family villa" can be locked, it just opens onto a patio space with is easily accessed from the surrounding landscaping, so there doesn't seem to be a point to the lock. Also, the landscaping is beautiful but there are no windows in the bedrooms, which was a very odd, dark, and confusing design choice.

Wunderschöner Garten mit tollen Pools und sehr grosszügigen und sauberen Bungalows. Die Gartenanlage war sehr gepflegt. Es gab auch eine Gemeinschaftsküche und eine Popcornmaschine zur freien Verfügung. Beim Frühstück hat man eine grosse Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten. Das Juwel des Hotels war aber Alejandra. Eine herzensgute Frau, die jedes Anliegen lösen konnte.

Das Restaurant im Hotel war ziemlich überteuert. In den nahen Restaurants isst man besser und zahlt viel weniger. Mir fehlten auch die frischen Handtücher am Pool. Das Weihnachtsessen war ganz gut, aber den dafür gezahlten Preis nicht wert.

This hotel is HUGE! Which after reading the reviews I thought it was a tropical paradise. In reality is too spread out, takes a while to get to the different pools- they should give you a golf buggy! Especially as some paths are very steep. Grounds are lovely and well kept but it did not make up for the inconvenience of not being able to easily get around (we are two young fit adults). The rooms were too concrete like. Lacked charm. Location was in town which we wouldn’t do again as we have a car and you need to drive everywhere anyway so somewhere further out may have been more idyllic.

prachtige locatie en erg recent gebouwd. Mooie natuur en veel vruchten in de bomen. De kamer is erg mooi met een goed bed. Rondom het appartement fraaie zitplaatsen. Twee mooie zwembaden en een supersnelle maar korte glijbaan en jacuzie. Zeer vriendelijk personeel die op allerlei manieren je verblijf plezierig maakten

De appartementen zijn wel wat gehorig. Er zijn erg stijle wegen dus niet voor iedereen geschikt om te belopen. Het complex ligt wel wat buiten het plaatsje dus niet goed om in de avond te belopen voor restaurants.

It was like living in a botanical garden. The property is very secure and the staff very pleasant and helpful. Also, my husband and I had a massage which was heavenly! We also had access to a full kitchen, which we did not take advantage of.

Our room was rather dark and cave-like.

Casa Del Rio is beautiful, a tucked away paradise. The rooms are so beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The staff is amazing and so accommodating.

It's pricey

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The resort itself is beautiful. Only two things could improve - there was a clicking noise with our air conditioner that kept me up. I didn’t report it because the noise wasn’t constant and hot tubs are too cold. We will definitely come back again for a visit and I will recommend your resort to my friends.

La amabilidad del personal en todo momento, la habitación espectacular con balcón precioso y vistas al río, el desayuno rico y las instalaciones preciosas, incluida la piscina con tobogán...limpieza de 10.

Tolle moderne Zimmer mit super Ausblick. Die ganze Anlage ist unwahrscheinlich groß und grün. Wer Privatsphäre mag, ist hier genau richtig. Wir wurden von Brüllaffen geweckt (aber früh war es :-)) und konnten ihnen beim spielen in den Bäumen zusehen. Es ist auch möglich morgens früh mit dem Kind in den warmen Whirlpool zu gehen ohne das man jemanden stört. Kinder können sich hier super austoben, Fußball, Wasserrutsche etc. Frühstück war im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels abwechslungsreicher. Abendkarte haben wir nicht probiert, laß sich aber she gut. Fußläufig gute Restaurants erreichbar.

Es fehlen Haken für die Handtücher und die Miniküche hätte ein bisschen besser ausgestattet sein können (Teelöffel, Gläser). Das nicht täglich gereinigt wird, stört uns persönlich nicht

The breakfast was good. The dinner was not so good & overpriced.

The resort was great looking. Lots of birds. The lodging was updated & modern. The open living room was interesting. We kept the lights low & fans on to reduce bugs. While having coffee in the am, bats flew through the living room, causing us to duck! All night long there were loud noises, waking us up constantly. I can accept “jungle” noises but something literally banged on our casita every few hours. It was scary. It sounded like a sledge hammer. No idea what it was.

Los cuartos muy lindos pero no nos tocaron con luz natura. El baño no está dentro de la recámara, los baños están en la salita de estar que también es parte del cuarto. No tienes posibilidad de colgar una toalla o incluso el traje de baño. Pero todo los de mas excelente. Muy moderno, limpio. La comida Excelente

Only negative I can find about this hotel is that there is not much hot water in the shower, but I think that’s pretty common no matter where you stay in Costa Rica

Beautiful property, accommodating employees, all together fantastic time

Seemed under staffed so we had to wait awhile for help at different times. Everyone was very helpful but they were overly busy. Restaurant was just ok.

Exceptional, one of the best hotels we’ve have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs from the service, all staff are extremely personable and want to ensure you are having a 10/10 experience. The grounds are so beautiful and so peaceful you almost feel like the only guests with access to multiple swimming pools (at most times to yourself). We only saw other guests at breakfast and dinner. We also spotted monkeys in the trees :) photos does not do this place justice for its true beauty. We also got engaged on Arenal volcano so La Fortuna will always be a very special place to us. We went on to stay at 3 more hotels and nothing felt quite the same as Casa de Rio

Gostamos de praticamente tudo! É um hotel amplo, com os quartos espaçados e com um paisagismo bonito. Fica ao lado do rio Lá fortuna. As refeições que fizemos estavam muito boas, no café da manhã eles servem frutas e uma fatia de bolo como entrada e dão algumas opções de café a la carte para escolha, sendo que os pratos são bem servidos.

Tivemos apenas uma dificuldade com a limpeza que foi esquecida de realizar no dia combinado mas assim que voltamos do passeio e informamos o ocorrido eles já solicitaram alguém para limpar.

Petit paradis. Écrin de verdure avec végétation luxuriante. Chambres au calme et éparpillées. Chambre avec équipement de qualité (volets électriques, douche immense…). Jacuzzi et toboggan aquatique, très belle piscine. Personnel au top
