What is there not to like?!

I really liked the ambience and the room was very modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable, which made it very hard to want to leave it in the morning. The breakfast had a lot to choose from and was very good. Very nice rooftop with the nicest bartenders, who I loved chatting with and who made us delicious drinks. Our concierge was Brazilian and he was honestly our favorite thing about our stay. He always met us with a big smile and gave us good tips on what to do in Lisbon.

Our first impression of the service wasn’t the best. Early check-in wasn’t possible and they said they would try their best, which I was expecting and understood completely, so we hung around at the hotel for a bit and ate at the restaurant. We had a very helpful concierge that gave us tips on what to do while we waited, but we didn’t feel that the reception gave us much attention or information, which would’ve been nice after a long time of traveling and almost no sleep. We found the food from the restaurant only ok for a five star hotel, and the menus didn’t contain much information about the dishes. The staff didn’t seem to know a lot about the dishes either when we asked. The location isn’t the most central, but it’s walking distance to the train station and the Vasco Da Gama shopping center. Our room still wasn’t ready passed the time of check in but they ended up giving us another room, so luckily we didn’t have to wait longer for our original room to be ready.

Very nice but not really 5* (compared to others e.g. The Corinthia) - staff very nice and really helpful.

A little basic for 5* - roof top bar not open - bedroom a little basic - no tissues in the bathroom for example
