Very friendly hosts, great guest lounge and great location for exploring Cumbria.

Superb breakfast that set us up for the whole day. Dogs were made to feel welcome and never a problem. Lovely family run business in a great location. Our room was very comfy and a good size.

Struggling to think of anything we didn't like. We're already talking about going back next time we visit the lakes and have recommended to family.

So welcoming, clean, friendly.. lovely garden outlook from room - if a little compact for two people plus dog. Perfect attention to detail.. sitting room with drinks to buy ( affordably( in fridge, chocolates on coffee table. Felt like home from home. A wonderful couple investing love and care in their guest house. Great field at the back to walk dogs. Breakfast was absolutely perfect. Best quality ingredients, no scrimping on cost of the best produce. Highly recommend.

The location of the property was absolutely incredible. Hosts Virginia and Ben are friendly and attentive and the B&B has a lovely relaxed feel with bright and airy rooms.

Excellent breakfast. Loved having real coffee bags and fresh organic milk for cuppas, and having a comfortable lounge to relax in with honesty bar. Well located for pleasant strolls in beautiful countryside. Would be more than happy to stay there again and to recommend to others.

The warm welcome, the cosy warm living room and bar for guests use, the warm bedroom, the delicious breakfast with Virginia's homemade turmeric shot and kumquat spread, their beautiful daughter who chatted away to us at breakfast, breakfast for our dog, the fabulous view from our room of Skiddaw, the location... We can't wait to visit again.

The hosts are fabulous, very helpful and interesting people, room great, amazing views, cracking location for access to the rest of Lakeland. Really nice food and is organised well. We really liked the residents lounge. Decent pubs in the vicinity. Everything was welcoming - we want to go back already, May cant get here quick enough.

Unfortunately our mattress was really hard, might have been better with a sprung base instead of a divan type.

We stayed for 3 nights and there’s not a thing we could fault. The place is warm and cosy, like home away from home. Our room was spotless, always nice and warm. Breakfast was lovely really filling, plenty options to choose from, it really sets you up ready for the day. The couple who own it were lovely and welcoming, even asked us if we would like to change our room as it was quiet, so we could wake up with the view of the lake for Valentine’s Day which of course we did, and the views were amazing. We will definitely be coming to stay here again in the near future

Everything was ideal nothing was to much trouble for the staff was comfy and quite very clean would recommend the place and we would stay again

The hosts Virginia and Ben were amazing. Very welcoming and family oriented B&B. Perfect location. Breakfast was superb!

Only downside if any that there was no bathroom on the room and no shower, just a bath. Also we were the only room using the facility so it wasn't too bad.

Great property, private lounge, lovely views and location

Boiler had packed up the week we stayed, but Virginia phoned and gave us the option of cancelling, but we didn't, and we were supplied with blankets, throws, electric heaters and hot water bottles.

very clean and bright, the new tenants are building up the property.
