The home is stunning and the owner truly considered every detail for her guest! This is at the top of my list of places I have stayed and I travel often!

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Lake House, and will definitely return! Kitchen is very well stocked and has every gadget you might need, from the salad spinner to the wooden kabob sticks!! This is an awesome rental, I cannot sing its praises highly enough. Thank you so much for renting to us. ~AB

We spent a week at this home with our children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren ages 11 months, 1, and 3. There was plenty of space for all of us and lots of room for the children to play. The kitchen was very well equipped for all of our meals and the beach and lake were great! The owner, Vanessa, was easy to communicate with and checked on us mid-week to make sure all was well and we did not need anything. The house was very clean. It was a fun week for our family!

Perfect property for our 3 generation family to celebrate our daughter’s graduation with her Master’s from the University of Scranton. We enjoyed the watercraft, the fire pit and the large open kitchen and living room. Adult “kids” played pool in the garage. Bonus was the downstairs bedroom, office and living area. The great room with its fantastic lake view and fully equipped kitchen was perfect to hang out and prepare and share meals. The bedrooms were all comfortable and there were many inviting gathering areas inside and outdoors. The hosts provide equipment and passes to enjoy the lake facilities. From start to finish this was an amazing experience. The owners were great, any questions I had she replied make to me within minutes. They supplied me with details about the area and things to do in the area. House was beautiful & clean. I would absolutely stay at this home again !!!!

What a beautiful house, everything was exactly the way it looks in the photos but better. The kitchenware was more than any property that we ever stayed at. Spices ,baking ect. It was like being at home . Vanessa was very responsive when we needed anything. Beautiful veiws ! Both of our family's had a great time!We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!

We took advantage of a long weekend to get together and enjoy our family. Luckily, we booked the perfect house to accommodate all of us, including two toddlers. The house is spotlessly clean and stylish! The main floor was a perfect gathering space with room to spare. The bedrooms and bathrooms were just right. Being right on the lake gave us a peaceful setting with beautiful views. The host was welcoming and provided clear and easy to follow information on the house. Great spot for any time of the year!

From the booking to the final check out everything was great. The house has a nice view of the lake, large living room area. Kitchen is loaded with all the utensils you have at home so make it is very easy to prepare a meal. Thank you very much for a wondefull weekend at the lake.

Everything from check in to checkout went seamless! The host was extremely responsive to anything we needed! The house was so nice and modern. Everything worked great. The bedrooms were extremely clean and well appointed. The best part was the bottom level with its on in-law quarters with living room, bathroom, and bedroom. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to relax and stay in a nice, clean, and quiet home.

Great property with gorgeous views

My husband and I stayed at the property with a couple friends for my 50th birthday. The owner’s (Jon) communication with me was amazing. He was very responsive and answered all of my questions. The house was very clean, stocked with all the essentials & absolutely beautiful - the lake view was the perfect scenery for morning coffee. There’s plenty to do right on the property. The House

We all loved the house and location. Being right on the lake was amazing. We had coffee out there every morning, kayaked during the day and sat by the fire at night. The home was spotless and the homeowners were very responsive. It’s clear they care for their home and want others to enjoy their hard work when they can’t be there. I cannot wait to stay again.

We went to Jim Thorpe for my birthday weekend. We had the best time! The house is gorgeous with attention to everything! The kitchen is well stocked, firewood as well as smores items are provided, well stocked with paper products, towels and blankets, we had fun on the lake with the kayaks and canoe provided as well as the game room in the garage. The detail to the decor was beautiful and so welcoming. We only had to go 3 min. to a grocery store and 15 min. to restaurants or Jim Thorpe. Definitely do the train ride and walk around Thorpe. So Beautiful!!

Our family and friends had a great time at the property. Everything was beautiful and clean just as described. Beautiful scenery for any time of the year. The house is stocked with what you need and more. We had 2 babies with us and the open concept made it so much easier to keep an eye on them. We had a wonderful time. Vanesa was very responsive during our stay and even offered us earlier check in which was awesome!They also give you some ideas on things to do while you are around. Will definitely be booking again! Loved the place.

Bear Creek Lake is one of our favorite places! Having so many things there already, such as linens, towels and watercraft, made it so easy. This place was gorgeous and the owners were so responsive! We hope to be back again!

It was a great house that had a well equipped kitchen. My grandkids had a great time on the paddle boards and kayaks. The floating raft was very enjoyable as we took it out in the middle of the lake and jumped off. We will go back again.

As other reviews have stated, the house is clean, well equipped, extremely comfortable and just right for our party of 6 ranging from 9-yrs old to 69-years old. We have members who enjoyed the large-screen TVs upstairs and down as well as everyone who enjoyed the many opportunities for outdoor activities including horseback riding, white-water rafting (6 min from the house), boating on Bear Creek Lake, park trail hiking, scenic railroad excursions and fishing from both the private dock and from a canoe (PA license required for those over 16). Although the community pool was closed due to mechanical failure, there was no end to the shenanigans leading to a dip in the lake. As advertised, the lake is mostly shallow so diving is strongly discouraged. The new landscaping was complete enough for us to enjoy evenings around the fire pit with the provided firewood (and maybe a S'mores or two). As advertised, all 4 bedrooms have a lake view which means the morning sunrise views through the trees from the beds are gorgeous with brilliant reds and orange. To cap off our stay, for the shoppers, there was a community yard sale providing an opportunity to tour the beautiful neighborhood. Should there be questions or other needs, the homeowners, Vanesa and Jon, are extremely responsive and a joy to work with since they obviously take great pride in ensuring their guests get the maximum fun from their vacation with the least hastle. They have provided this magic kitchen drawer which provides the answers to most questions that might arise. We hope to have future opportunities to repeat our vacation here.

I stayed with a group of girlfriends for a long weekend and can't say enough great things about the property. Not only was it absolutely beautiful, the house was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. Vanesa and Jon had great communication throughout the stay, and we lucked out with the perfect weather to enjoy all the lake had to offer. Already thinking about when i'd like to book my next stay!

We just finished our vacation in Bear creek with family .. the place is beautiful.. well furnished with very good appliances and fully equipped recreational activities including activities in the lake .. you can hear the birds chirping in the morning and watching the sunset in the serene lake with the bonfire .. Vanessa and Jon do a splendid job of describing the property and are excellent host and very prompt in communicating .. they have the mesh NEST internet and it was good quality in every room .. we used the bikes , tennis rackets and had got our own basket ball which we played every day and the kayaks .. kids loved to do s’mores at sunset .. I recommend atoxling up your groceries and meet from also which is 20-25 minutes away .. we trekked the hawk eye falls glen onoko falls and the butter milk and Luke falls ( more of gravel bike ride) and lastly did the scenic train ride in Jin Thorpe .. if you like ice cream then scoops is good place to visit which is a few minutes away .. thank you Jon and Vanessa for sharing lovely heart warming home .. which is truly a home away from home
