10/10 recommend. Just be weary of the steps- get the help with the luggage and it’s not so bad. Great host. Easy walking to bus and ferry to go port hopping. Loved every bit of it.

This place is an absolute gem. Second time staying here (8 years apart) and it didn’t disappoint. Well maintained, great location with all the essential items for a proper stay and the views from the balcony can’t be explained in words, you have to see it and experience them.

Good location within the town. definitely lots of steps to get there so be prepared to walk them at the end of a long day and with your luggage. Upper bathroom has very small shower (long but very narrow making two of us unable to even get in it and shut the doors) with very tiny hot water heater….only enough for one quick shower before running out of hot water. Definitely an older apt though that should be expected when staying in Amalfi. Service and responsiveness was AMAZING! The refrigerator didn’t work when we got there and within 62 minutes of me messaging someone, the refrigerator was taken out and a new refrigerator installed. The person who met us with the keys also helped carry one of our suitcases up all the steps and volunteered to take one down for us. Top floor patio was amazing but we were gone for most of the time so didn’t get to enjoy it.

We truly enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Yes....there are lots of steps but the virws from the rooftop terrace make up for it! Jyst make sure all in your group can handle the steps. Amedeo was wonderful for check in and out and even arranged a porter for our luggage--which I would definitely recommend. We had a great stay!

Roof top deck was the highlight! Quiet and perfect views. The overall unit was fine. Quite functional but a bit dated. Furniture, sofa, beds, etc were could be updated. Please understand the stairs. We were told 88 stairs to climb and no elevator. It was actually 144 stairs from the street carrying luggage, groceries, or anything else. Once you get there it’s fine. But make sure you are able! Overall a very good stay. Thank you.

Very good well located property in line description. Excellent view from roof terrace, close to Amalfi centre and sea. Note - no air conditioning in top room so very warm in hot weather. Many steps to apartment so not suitable for all. Parking can be very tricky in Amalfi even at multi story on edge of town.

As others have noted, it's true that there are lots of stairs to reach this apartment. That said, the owner's colleague who met us for check-in very kindly helped us bring our bags up. The private rooftop deck was our favorite part -- a great place to start or end the day, with beautiful views. The rest of the apartment was also comfortable, bright, and airy. The owner was very helpful in the days leading up to our arrival. A great base for exploring Amalfi!

This was a very nice property. Everything we needed and more. Clean and comfortable. Great for two couples. Amedeo was fabulous for checking in and out. Must be able to climb stairs, many stairs but the view from the private d k is fabulous. Great stay, reasonable price.

I really liked Amedeo who met us and promptly took us to the apartment; he even carried my daughter's suitcase with him!To make it even better, I would suggest a welcome basket which has some water, snacks, coffee, or light refreshments. In most other rentals, we have received this and it's a lovely surprise when you arrive. I'd also request more than one dishcloth and dishtowel for guests that stay multiple days. Overall though, this was a great apartment where we could really have a lot of space. And, we really enjoyed the roof-top terrace. Thank you!

If you are going to the Amalfi coast, the Amalfi town and this apartment are the perfect location to make your home base. We were so grateful Dorotea helped us arrange a transfer from Salerno to Amalfi on the night we had arrived, after 24 hours of traveling to get there! Mr Amedeo met us at the drop off point and helped carry our luggage up to the apartment. He also helped us locate a restaurant that evening that would accommodate my husband's gluten allergy. Although we came to discover that many restaurants in Italy are accommodating to allergies. The food was outstanding the whole trip!! There were about 100 steps up to the apartment. But with all the walking and stairs you will likely do exploring the coast, this is something you must accept anywhere you stay. The apartment was very nice and comfortable and had everything we needed, but the private terrace was the star! It was so nice to begin and end long days of exploring the coast by enjoying this outstanding panoramic view from the mountain to the water! We were even surprised one night with an impromptu fireworks show. The location of the apartment is also very convenient to access the town and public transit in just minutes. Definitely take a bus or car at some point so you can experience Amalfi Drive, but do take advantage of the ferry for transportation! Ferry transit is so fast and a great alternative view. We went in early April, so there was not a lot of other tourists yet, which made for a very enjoyable stay. Thank you Dorotea and Mr Amedeo for your hospitality. This is a trip we will not forget!

We had a wonderful time at Dorotea’s Apartment in Amalfi. Our stay there was definitely the highlight of our trip to Italy. The apartment was comfortable for our family of 5, and the balcony had million dollar views of the coast and mountains. Note, there is no air conditioning in the bedroom upstairs. Dorotea gave us the name of a great tour company in Capri which we used, and Amadeo (Dorotea’s assistant) was fantastic with his assistance in getting us dinner reservations and advising us how to get around. On top of all that, I left my wallet in the apartment and they made sure to return it to me intact!

We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful apartment. There was plenty of room for five adults. The terrace was wonderful and even though the stairs were challenging it was totally worth it. If you can climb stairs don't pass up this apartment. You will be rewarded every time you step out on the terrace and hear the church bells ringing.

Our family of 4 have just came back from our week stay in this lovely apartment, was very clean and well equipped with every thing you need (just like home). We had 3 bedrooms and we didn't even use the top floor, each room is bright with lots of room for clothes. The roof top views are amazing over looking Amalfi. The transition from transfer to arriving at the apartment to get the keys was stress free, thank you Mr Amendo for helping us with our suitcases up the stairs a whole 113 steps !!!! worth it once your up the top. This apartment is great location one street back from the main square, supermarket close by for all you need for a great stay.

My family and I spent 10 days in this great Amalfi apartment. It's vicinity and accessibility made it a perfect vacation spot. It was clean and the terrace was a high point the view was really great and it could not have been easier to rent. The air conditioning and Wifi were really key and the agent was super helpful. You'll wake to church bells everyday !

We recently returned from a wonderful trip to Amalfi and stayed in this apartment for 5 nights. The apartment was clean, spacious enough for 6 people, quiet, and furnished with everything we could have needed on our vacation. Our favorite part was the huge rooftop terrace with the incredible views. This made the climb to the apartment worth every step! We couldn't have been happier with the location. It was a very short walk to many great restaurants (Eolo, Il Teatro, Al Cancelletto were few of our favorites), shopping in the main square, hiking (highly recommend Valle delle Ferriere), and the beach. With this apartment, your time in Amalfi can be as relaxing or adventurous as you'd like!

My wife and I stayed at the apartment for 10 nights and had a truly wonderful time. The apartment is exactly as described and the climb up the stairs was no problem - it was amazing how quickly we got used to it! I would strongly recommend renting the apartment and the views from the roof terrace are fantastic.

Really such a nice, spacious, clean, big and quiet apartment. We spent a lot of time on the terrace ogling the view. I did build up some leg muscles....definitely worth the climb! There are strategically placed benches on different flights of the stairs. Don't pass this apartment up because of the climb....that's how you get such a great view!

My family spent a week in this apartment in Amalfi, and we really loved it. The location is great, close to shopping, restaurants, and ferry. Plenty of room for party of five or six people. The rooftop deck offers a great view of Amalfi, and we spent much time there, drinking wine and eating cheeses and meats that we'd purchased right downstairs. We were met upon arrival, and everything worked as advertised. Parking along the entire Amalfi coast is limited, and this apartment has a very modern parking facility just a few minutes away.

I highly recommend this apartment! Our daughter recently got married in Ravello and our family of 5 stayed at this beautiful apartment! It was very comfortable and convenient to the town. The stairs gave us a great workout! Dealing with Rafael and Dorotea was a great experience. LOVED IT!!

We just returned from our trip to Italy…the first week we spent at this wonderful apartment in Amalfi. Dorotea was wonderful to work with in advance of the trip, and Raf was there to make sure we found the place and had everything we needed to enjoy a week of relaxation. First, as you've read, the steps…is it exhausting getting your bags up the first day? - YES. Are you going to be a little winded each time you get to the top thereafter? - YES. Will you ever walk in the door or look off the top porch and wish you had stayed somewhere with fewer steps? - NO. If it physically pains you to climb stairs, this place may be tough, otherwise, it's totally worth it. I believe the apartment is technically located on the 3rd floor, but it's more the equivalent of a 7-8 story height when you factor in the tall ceilings and the slope of the land. Kitchen had most all the tools we needed. For supplies, there are a few little grocery stores nearby. MY TIP - it will make sense when you're there….at the bottom of the steps that lead you back to the main road, there is a grocery store just to your right across the street. Always open when we needed something, great people, awesome stuff. Across the street to your left is an alley, that will lead you to a slightly bigger place with a slightly bigger selection. We found some things substantially cheaper there and the mozzarella there was killer! Beds were firm, the blinds on the windows make it so dark you have no idea if it's the middle of the night or middle of the day. All 4 of us slept GREAT. Bathrooms were excellent, one of the roomier showers we had in Italy. The A/C worked very well, though we didn't need it much. Opening all the windows when the weather is nice does a great job to keep fresh air flowing through. Then up to the top balcony, where we hung out, took pictures, played games, ate amazing foods we picked up or prepared in the kitchen, drank wine, listened to the church bells, etc, etc, etc. You'll look around at other rooftops and not see another place you'd rather be. The apartment is just the right distance from the main road. When you're on the balcony, you can hear the buzz on the streets and still feel connected to the city. When you're ready to sleep or take a nap, just close the windows and you can't hear a thing. Can't say enough good things about this apartment, we were thrilled to call it home for our week in Amalfi.

We stayed at this property at the end of April 2014. We were really looking for a place with some outdoor space with a sea view (It’s the Amalfi COAST afterall!). We opted to rent this unit, and it’s a larger space than we needed (3 bedroom though we only needed 2), solely for the rooftop deck. It was absolutely worth it! The views of the town, sea and valley are incredible in every direction. I’ll never forget the lovely view from the kitchen window as I prepare cheese, bread, prosciutto and wine to enjoy on the deck. Location, location, location—we were so happy with the location of this building; so close to the main street (yet quiet!) and short walk from the ferry. We loved the whole town of Amalfi and found everything accessible. Please DON’T let the number of stairs to the unit scare you! After day 1 (with your luggage!), you really do get used to them and we may have been the only travellers to Italy to lose weight while eating a lot pizza, pasta, gelato and lots of wine and cappucinos! Dorotea was easy to communicate with prior to arrival and Mr. Raf—who arranged our arrival to the unit—was friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming with lots of information, suggestions, and insight into the culture. We even attended Mass to watch him sing! We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone who asks.

I cannot say enough good things about this apartment! It was in such an amazing location, the apartment itself was fantastic, clean, well-presented and really spacious, and although there were many steps up to it (I was on crutches at the time so it was hard for me!) the views are totally worth it! Amalfi is just beautiful and the wonderful roof terrace alhighs you to experience this in its full glory. The terrace was surrounded by jasmine and it was in full bloom when we were there giving us a lovely fragrance all day long! Dorotea was so lovely and helpful during the booking process and Mr Raf looked after us so well when we got to the apartment and we really appreicated how friendly and helpful he was too! We loved it so much we are planning our return holiday for next year!! P.S We would have loved there to be a BBQ on the terrace but you are spolied for choice with restaurants so is just a side note.

The apartment is centrally located, clean and airy. You are steps away to the main square, shops and bus/ferry stops. The only downside was the stairs, but you will be awarded with the huge, private rooftop terrace. Mr. Raf was very helpful in many ways and he also arranged the taxi ride to Naples airport.
