We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the property. The house is amazing and the view incredible. Everything from check in to check out went very well. We had a few small issues, but Matt took care them almost immediately. We will return one day to enjoy the house, beach, sunshine and great weather again.

The house and views are stunning! The house was well equipped for 10 adults, and we cooked several meals in the wonderful kitchen. We enjoyed walking on the beach and used the beach chairs and umbrellas. Even saw dolphins one morning from the balcony. The only issue we had was we could not locate extra linens for the fold out couch beds. Overall great stay and would certainly recommend!

What a beautiful and perfectly appointed beach house! Great work spaces, too, which was very helpful to my husband and me who had to work during most of our stay. The beach is fantastic for walking. The only downside for us, which is not the fault of the owners at all, is that the house is not near the downtown area which is really charming, so every time we went out for dinner we had a 15-20 minute drive. But overall, the house was ideal!

Celebrated 60 at the Mermaid Castle with Girlfriends. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and beach views amazing. Perfect retreat for a family or friend holiday together with many private areas to have alone time if needed. The sunrise from the top terrace was spectacular!

This house has everything and is gorgeous! The amazing walks on the beach for the sunrise were stunning! Jenny was a dream to communicate with. The most memorable is the master wing! We didn't want to leave!

We had such and amazing getaway. This was such a gorgeous and well maintained property. The hosts were awesome and communication was top-notch. I would recommend this property hands down. You will not be disappointed, as it exceeded my expectations.

The Mermaid Castle was an absolute dream with amazing panoramic views of the beach!l Very spacious house for a group of 8 girls! The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped for all our needs. Pictures don’t do this gem justice. Beautiful decor and all the special touches made it us feel like queens of the castle. Finally, the communication with the property management company was wonderful. Hope to come back one day soon! 😊

We had a wonderful getaway. The house was absolutely perfect. It was right on the ocean, which made for gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Very clean and updated! Book this rental because you will not be disappointed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our fall break. The large windows make you feel like you are truly escaping to paradise. The view of the dune and ocean is breathtaking. We enjoyed the roof top deck for Star gazing and privacy of having few homes/condos around. Beach access was very easy. We had a minor maintenance issues resolved within minutes of making managers aware.

Places is great. Beautiful house, cool beach location. But be advised there is construction going on, so if you don’t like waking up at 7 am you will not like this place until they are done with the major work.

Mermaid Castle was ideal for iur three generation family vacation. A fun time was had by everyone from toddler to seniors. S great time was enjoyed by all outside and inside. We had everything we needed as was as advertised. I highly recommend this gorgeous spacious home. None of the kids wanted to leave.

This beach house was awesome. It was just as they said. Completely furnished had all you need. Our family had such a great time. Beautiful interior decorations. Had enough space for all 14 of our family members. We even had a small zoo outside 2 bunnies, a turtle, and even a black snake. Upstairs view was spectacular. The locks on the doors were a little complicated but we managed. Kids enjoyed the Disney channel. The walk over the dunes was a little difficult for older folks. We loved that the beach was not crowded during the week.

Mermaid Castle is absolutely beautiful. There is a beautiful view, and a great beach location. It's exactly as pictured. There is plenty of space and common space to relax with friend. We were not made aware in advance that the entire street and the lot across from the house was under (very noisy construction). This was disappointing especially for the travelers from the west coast who were woken up at 7am ET due to the noise and it also impacted work calls that some in our group had. One night we came home from dinner to find no running water and we were disappointed in the response and empathy from the owner when we could not flush toilets from 10am - 3am after having been out to eat. If the owner was notified in advance about a scheduled outage, she did not disclose it in advance. The locks on the door take some time to correctly lock. Key codes or another system would greatly improve the experience. The water pressure and temperature on the top floors is poor. There was some confusion on the thermostat and which ones should and shouldn't be working. Great decor and space.

This was our second time at Mermaid Castle and it won’t be the last. Although it was a short trip, we still managed to see turtles, swim in some great waves just steps from the home, and take in spectacular sunrises. I love the history of the neighborhood and always learn more every trip. The master bedroom is stunning and we had a lot of fun on the roof. Just a gorgeous, quiet, getaway.

The house is beautiful and very well stocked. The views are amazing! The hosts were great to work with. Although it is probably beyond their control, all 3 large garbage cans were completely full when we arrived. Perhaps they could arrange for twice weekly pick up so new guests would have empty cans at arrival. Other than that, we were so happy with the Mermaid Castle!

Great house for big groups. It easily slept 12 people and there was plenty of space indoors and outdoors for meals. The view from the house is absolutely stunning, and the proximity to the beach can't be beat. Only downside was that we struggled to get hot water for showers on a few occasions.

This house is beautiful, well appointed and maintained - the pictures don’t lie. We had 4 couples and everyone had plenty of room. Kitchen & bar is stocked with everything you need, beds are comfortable and bathrooms clean. The mantra for the weekend was “we have to come back - when is our next celebration opportunity”.

Beautiful, well-appointed house that is so perfect for large group or multi-generational family gatherings. We will be back!

We celebrated my daughter's wedding right on the shore. At night we were able to use the observation (sun?) deck to see the stars and listen to the waves gently crashing on the shore. The place was immaculate when we arrived and my whole group was incredibly comfortable. The biggest surprise was the historical significance of the area. I'll leave that for you to discover but I recommend visiting the A.L. Lewis Museum to find out what I'm talking about. :)

Very nice property and house. Loved the beach but it rained almost the entire trip.

Our stay was nearly perfect! The home was very clean, nicely decorated and right on the beach! Great views too! Plus it had everything extra we thought we needed…supplies, beach cart! We will be back soon to explore the history of American Beach!

We enjoyed this house so much! It has spectacular views and is right on the beach. This section of the beach is quiet and spacious. The house is well appointed and had everything we needed. It was wonderful for our three sons and their families to join us under one roof for the start of an annual vacation tradition.

Beautiful home with gorgeous views as advertised. Unfortunately, the manager of the property told us we had to keep all of the curtains closed if we wanted to cool down the house. . The temperature in the house stayed in the 80’s during the day and cooled down to 78-79 around midnight. Too hot to sleep comfortably. If we used the kitchen to cook dinner the house became even hotter. Over the weekend the beach was crowded with cars and trucks leaving very little room for our family with chairs and umbrellas. During the week it was better. Amelia island offers many properties with beach access without cars but this property is not one of them . I would recommend renting this property in off season due to poor air conditioning .

The Mermaid Castle is a wonderful home in which to spend a beach vacation! We enjoyed our stay immensely! Check in was easy, the home was spotless, the decor is beautiful and so well appointed, the beds and linens comfortable, the views from all 4 levels amazing! We would highly recommend this home!

My only concerns was the doors locking securely and the public access and parking is next to house and directly in front of house and beach.

All of our family loved Mermaid Castle and wished we were staying longer. The location was good for us since we were attending a family wedding plus we enjoyed being able to go to the beach. We would stay there again for sure.
