Everything was absolutely amazing! This property is located right on the water with an amazing sunset view (you can also see the sunrise if you are an early riser!). We spent lots of relaxing hours by the pool and on the rooftop deck. This was our first trip to The Keys and found Marathon to be delightful. It was very laid-back, but close enough for a day trip to Key West. There are lots of great restaurants and a couple within walking distance. We spent almost every evening on the rooftop watching the sunset and walked to Conch Custard for ice cream. The property is just as described and accommodated all six of our group quite comfortably. Wish we never had to leave!

love how tucked away this place is with gated entrance. house is super clean and the elevator makes it very convenient to get luggage and groceries from bottom floor to 3rd floor. sunrise and sunset can be viewed from rooftop which was amazing. the boat dock can be tricky with tide change and strong current. but i was able to get in and out of the dock with no issues over 5 days with a pontoon. Vaca cut is a great waterway to get to atlantic or gulf side quickly and the house is right on the pass through.
I do wish the house wasnt next to the community pool. We are very private people and that was a little off putting having many people next to the house during the day. Also the community dock getting a lot of attention in the evening which reduces privacy.
All in all it was a great stay. We love Marathon and its location to food and stores is less than 10 mins in any direction.

Everything was amazing. Couldn’t ask for anything better. Kids enjoyed the pool and the men enjoyed the dock to fish. The views were amazing and would love to consider staying here again! The elevator is a plus instead of walking the stairs. The house is beautiful the views are breathe taking when the sun comes up and goes down. Very well needed relaxation vacation.

This was a great getaway place for our family of 6 -
(all adults). We had breakfast on the rooftop every morning. We used the pool and the hot tub multiple times. There are several places at the unit to eat your meals - either outside or inside. The views are incredible -- we saw sunsets from a few different places while we were there and the sunset from this property rivaled them all. Marathon was a very nice place to stay - it was easy to take a day trip to Key West. There are a Walgreens and Dollar Tree very close to the property so keep that in mind when planning your grocery shopping. We could have saved a lot of $$ over buying everything at Publix. Highly recommend this property. You'll have a great time.

Beautiful location and the place was great. House was clean and nice in all aspects. We got lucky and had 5 great families staying on the street. Everyone fished together each night and had a great time. I think we caught 20 different species of fish off the docks. Plenty to do on Marathon and it’s an hour to Key West for the day. Hosts were commutative and helpful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful home nestled on the gulf, close to restaurants and stores, gift shops. It was hard to leave. We had family ranging from 13 to 83 (which the elevator was helpful for my mom). We all enjoyed every moment of the place. The private hot tub was a nice touch. We caught a few fish on the docks, was visited by a pod of manatees everyday. The house was very equipped with extra blankets, paper towels and toilet paper which was nice. Can't wait to go back.

We loved this place - exactly as described online! It was spotless upon arrival and was very well appointed. The location was great and there were numerous restaurants in the area. Hosts were very quick to reply to questions and the views were great- we spent every evening on the rooftop deck enjoying the beautiful sunsets!

Our family of 4 enjoyed the water views from every level of this beautiful home and the sunset views from the rooftop deck. The house is well-maintained and well-stocked. The indoor jacuzzi tub and outdoor hot tub were great amenities for relaxing after our excursions. The location is central to snorkeling, dolphin encounters and other FL Keys. We also enjoyed walking to get coffee, bagels, etc.

Very nice place! Grab your snorkel gear and jump in right in front! We saw sting rays, a turtle, lobsters, parrot fish, and more just by standing at the dock! Hardly anyone was in the pool but us. The only thing I would say is that they ask you to wash the towels and dry them and to do the dishes and put them away before you go. I’ve stayed at several places and was never told to do that before I left. We found ourselves using paper towels in the morning to dry our faces and the wash and dry the coffee cups at 6 am so we can get to the airport. Rather inconvenient but we figured it out. Beautiful views from the roof and close to everything you need ( and super quiet)!

Home was spacious, comfortable, furnished very nicely. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything you would need.
Pool area is small but nice and we had it to ourselves all week except for one time.
Host was super helpful and responsive.

Great central location to visit the keys. Right on the water, awesome views from living room, one of the bedrooms, and all 3 of the decks. Could see various marine life from dock out back and from decks. Maybe an hour and 10 mins to key west, went there twice. Under 10 mins to the Turtle Hospital, Dolphin Research Center, and Crane Point Hammock, enjoyed all of them. Enjoyed eating at the Key Fisheries(10 min drive), Island Fish Co.(10 minute walk). Owner needed to have new fridge delivered during our stay, it took two attempts by Home Depot so he said he would buy us dinner. I didn’t pursue that because it wasn’t a huge deal. He ended up sending us a check for $200 about a week after we got home, really appreciate that! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we come back to Marathon.

Great property with a very helpful and communicative owner.
Quick example; the previous renters had broken the coffee maker carafe and not notified him. We found it broken in the lower sink cabinet and advised him of the situation. He promptly sent me credits for coffee at a local place for the next morning, and had a new coffee maker delivered by Home Depot the next day. Great guy that wants to provide the best possible guest experience.
You can't beat the view off the rooftop deck and far enough off the main highway that you don't hear anything.

Didn’t want to leave
Best vacation ever! Property was well appointed and very clean. The owner drove down to meet us and was very helpful showing us around. There was a beautiful breeze off the ocean at night and I couldn’t believe it but there were no bugs! Will definitely try to go back.

He met us on check in and walked us through the house. You literally only need to bring clothing, food and drinks as everything else is provided.The area has many nearby attractions which we took advantage of but one of the best activities was fishing right off the dock. Caught many Yellowtail Snapper (best spot to drop your line is between the first and second set of pilings). Was visited by some very lazy pelicans who sat next to me on the dock waiting for me to feed them what I caught. When it was time to leave we seriously considered staying for a few more days. My wife expressed that this will be on her list of one of her ‘happy places’.Thank you Larry - hopefully we will be back again soon.

Oh that view!
Everything is as advertised! Would stay again. Larry provides most everything you can think of which makes things nice and convenient. The view from the 3 decks is amazing and worth the stay in itself. The only negative I would say is that we were unable to use the dock due to wind. We had an abnormal strong north wind and were uncomfortable leaving our boat there against a concrete dock (seaweed pretty thick too). All other winds and it would have been very protected. There was a lot to keep our boat on trailer luckily.

Very nice place and great location
We planned a fishing trip for 6 adults and the place is perfect if you need a dock for your boat. Fishing from the dock was also very fun. The house was great with lots of room and supplied with everything that you would need. The owner was very nice.

Marathon of Fun
Great time and great place to stay. Dockage was visible to watch boat while in the water and in a well protected cove. Clean pool and hot tub. Anything you might need was provided and operable. Larry was very helpful and attentive to details to make sure a good time was had by all. We would stay here again ....absolutely.

House was clean and had everything we needed.
I do recommend to bring you own fishing poles. Pool was clean and heated. Roof deck was nice for seeing the sunsets. I would definitely stay there again.

Larry met us for check in and showed us the property and how everything works. Great location with beautiful scenery. Caught fish off the dock and enjoyed the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again.
