Amazing home, close proximity to our son’s wedding venue! Extremely clean, very comfortable and has every amenity you could ever need. Fantastic property owners that ensure your stay is absolutely perfect!! Will definitely stay there again in the future.

The house was beautiful, both inside and out. We loved that it was so spacious… so many beds and rooms available for our three families (6 adults and 6 kids). The kitchen was fully stocked - think high-end appliances, Hexclad pots and pans, kids and adult dishware and cutlery, coffee maker AND ground coffee - and it felt like home. We really appreciated the central air conditioning, play room with games and books on the 3rd floor, and hot tub (with extra towels).
Julie was quick to reply to our questions at all times of the day, and we even got to meet her and her husband in person. They were very kind, helpful with suggestions/recommendations, and quick to ensure we had no concerns at all.
Overall we had a wonderful stay and made many memories with our friends. This home is close to the Skagit River (one friend enjoyed early morning runs along the river trail), as well as Costco and Target (about 10-15 mins away). We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

We loved our stay in this beautiful home! It was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host went out of her way to make sure we had all of the information we needed for a smooth check in. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in Mt. Vernon!

I travel with a group of adult women, and we have book reading staycations. Julie's home was pretty much everything we'd hoped it would be. The location is lovely, the check-in process and communication with the owner was a dream. Property instructions and check-out procedures were also great! The kitchen is spacious and well stocked, the downstairs bedroom needs some light-blocking curtains. The primary on the second floor is spacious and the bathroom is huge, it's only a little strange that there's not a King bed in there instead of a Queen. The other Queen room on the second floor and the bathroom were great. The third bedroom on the second floor was pictured to have a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a twin on top, but instead had two twins, which was a little bit of a disappointment. The living room area on the second floor is super comfy, it only needs a few more side tables for beverages when you're tucked in to read or watch movies. The third floor space is HUGE and comfy. Outdoor spaces were lovely and kept clean. The hot tub was a hit. Overall, it was a really lovely 3-night staycation weekend.

This house was absolutely perfect for our family. It was the most well stocked with everything you could wish for cooking for a large group. There was plenty of space to spread out and lots of games to keep us busy when we weren’t out hiking. Highly recommend!!

We loved the property! Our family stayed here for our daughter's wedding at the Saltbox Barn. It was a great location, easily accessible and a perfect choice for our family. Comfy beds, awesome master suite and plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is fabulous. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck. Julie was great to work with and responded quickly when we ask questions! Would definately recommend this property!

This Mt Vernon home was the perfect place for our family to get together for the first time. Plenty of space to spread out, great outdoor places, close to what you might need without feeling like you are in town. Hosts were wonderful, respectful of our privacy, and quickly responsive to our questions.

We had a lovely girls weekend celebrating my grandmother’s birthday. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The queen beds were very comfortable but the ladies who slept in the twin beds wished they were more firm, so plan accordingly! The bedding on all the beds was very cozy. There were plenty of towels for the hot tub and showering along with a nice selection of spices for cooking. The house is beautiful with so many great touches. Thank you!

What a beautiful house, wow. Perfect for multiple families, esp if kids don't need to sleep in the same room as parents. There are two spaces for kids, a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a loft with three twin beds. Lots of room so you aren't on top of eachother and the finishes are gorgeous. Also, the location is around 5 minutes from town and 20 minutes from other towns like La Conner and Anacortes so day trips are very easy.

Perfect place for our immediate family to gather in one place. The ability to walk along the River just outside the door allowed our 4 year old twins to burn off steam. The house was well stocked with books games TV’s. The kitchen had everything we needed.

This was an amazing house for the 7 of us high school classmates. It was large enough with many beds and bathrooms to accommodate all of us. The house is immaculate and super comfortable. It couldn’t have been any better. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating for us if we had any questions. I would highly recommend this. The surrounding area is also beautiful.

We stayed here with a group of friends for a local event. It gave us so much space, each of the 3 groups had their own private spaces, while the common areas were plenty big enough to accommodate us all when we came together. The home was easily accessible from a variety of local places we visited which made it even better for a group with different needs at different times.
We would definitely book again and already recommended this place to someone. All amenities were amazing. Host was quickly responsive for a little need and communication was thorough before arrival. Can't say enough about how perfectly this place worked for our group.

James and Julie's Skagit River Farmhouse is perfect in every way! The house is absolutely beautiful, warm, inviting, clean, and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. We chose this house because of it's close proximity to our son's wedding venue, Vanderveen Farms, and because it seemed like the ideal house for our multi-generational family to stay in for the wedding events. This house was absolutely perfect for what we needed! It was super clean with a large kitchen, laundry, open space for catching up and private spaces for alone time. The whole process from booking to leaving was easy. I highly recommend for a fun place in the country, but not far from activities.

Property is in good shape with a great Kitchen area. Bedrooms and bathrooms are nice and clean. Everything works.
The photos online are deceptive in that you cannot see the river or access it due to a high retaining wall on the banks.
Instructions to check in and out were very clear although VRBO site is very limiting in that you have to constantly log in to see your info and cannot download instructions.

First trip back to our hometown since 2019 and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. We rented this home with another family for a few nights for New Year's Eve and it was wonderful. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The owner had great communication, the home was well-stocked, all check-in/check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow. We loved walking along the river, playing shuffleboard, and daytripping into Bellingham. We'll definitely be back!
