This property is great for families! We sat and drank our coffee on the front porch while kids played just across the street at the park. Access to the lake was close too. Our host was wonderful as well!

This property is impeccably beautiful! The view is gorgeous and the home is full of everything you need! The owner went ABOVE and BEYOND to help us accommodate a disabled child in a wheelchair❤️❤️. The communication was too notch and the owner was so kind in all she did to make her home feel like home for us for the weekend. I cannot say enough! I would highly recommend this property.

The house was perfect for our two families. The layout was great for hanging out and having a large group meal. The kids loved being right across from the park and we saw bald eagles by the lake in the morning. Communication was great and check-in/check out was very easy. Would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing place amazing host

This house is awesome. The house has spectacular views of the Lake. The updates in the house are awesome. There is plenty of areas to gather with different size groups. The bottom floor is open floor plan so everyone feels together. Lots of games available The rooms upstairs are nice. There were plenty of bathrooms. We really enjoyed our stay. Lynette was a great host and communication was awesome!!We want to return next year!!

Very well thoughtful vacation home!

We were very pleased with the property. Lot's of things for the kids to do and a nice quiet neighborhood.

We loved the property and hope to stay here again when we are back in town. The view of the lake, proximity to the park, and the style of the home were absolutely fantastic. We had everything we needed and Lynette was a great host!

Nice house that worked out well for our family.

When we first walked in the ambience, decor and open layout was absolutely amazing beautiful more than we expected! The rooms are so large plenty of space for everyone a cute area for children. Plenty of seating, and the property manager had so much wonderful, welcoming energy at the check-in, you could overlook the fact that after booking the property the cleaning fee was a bit shocking it made up for it. We pride ourselves on being clean and doing most of pick up, etc. before we leave so the cleaning fee at almost the nightly fee of the property was some thing that would deter me from booking again everything else was absolutely fantastic. The view a little beachfront area perfect for a group with small children they want to keep their ion by the playground, etc..

The property was spotless and thoughtfully stocked and the owner went above and beyond to make our stay special. We did not have any problems, but there is no doubt in my mind that if we had, she would have responded quickly. Our biggest regret was booking a long weekend instead of a week. Hopefully we will be able to visit again in the future.

No complaints. It was clean and ready for our arrival. Everything worked as advertised. One item that could be improved is replacement of two small charcoal grill with one much larger charcoal grill.

Great cozy place that had an awesome view especially waking up to the sunrise out the window over the lake … GREAT PLACE !!

We appreciate the cleanliness of the rental as well as the many amenities that were provided. We didn’t have to worry about not having enough towels etc. The park and beach were perfect for our little kids and the gaming area was great for our older kids. Plenty of room so we were not under each other’s feet. We would definitely stay again.

This property had everything 2 families staying for a weekend could have asked for. Easy access to digital media, multiple games for all ages, entertaining space, and plenty of places to call it a night. The host communicated regularly and answered every question. Loved the experience!

Had such a lovely stay at this home! I wish this was my actual home! House was very clean and spacious. Check in was easy. I loved how organized owner is with labeling everything, making it very easy for us. Large driveway was convenient. Neighborhood was nice and quiet, very easy to navigate through. Had a playground across the way and beautiful view of the lake. Perfect large home if planning to go to cedar point!

Overall the stay was excellent. We enjoyed the view and enjoyed the house. The house was more amazing than the pictures on the site. The host was very friendly, we ran into her when we were checking in and she welcomed us. We can’t wait to return.

Beautifully appointed new build with ample beds and bathrooms. Charming, remarkably well stocked, spacious kitchen. Fun games for children and a playground across the street. Plenty of living room seating and televisions everywhere. Easily accessible and gracious host. The house was decorated with delightful holiday decor. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful, well-appointed home in a quiet neighborhood, with the lake right across the lane (other side of a small public park), and quick access to the local highway just a few blocks away. Lynn is a great host!

We had a wonderful time celebrating! The house is great and perfect for entertaining. Very clean and beautifully decorated for a lake/beach feel. Short walk to the lake to enjoy the relaxing vibes.

This newly remodeled and beautifully decorated home is well situated to access many points of interest in the area. The house is just as the photos depict, nicely appointed and clean. We cooked daily in the kitchen, which was stocked with everything we needed. There was plenty of space to relax or play games, inside or outside at the neighborhood park. We found the beds to be on the firmer side; there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. We did have significant WIFI issues throughout our stay. Lynette was very responsive, thoughtful and accommodating to the questions and requests we had, and was a pleasure to communicate with. We really appreciated her, and the time we were able to spend at this beautiful property.

Wonderful home with great spaces to relax and have fun. The BEST host. She gave us so many options to make memories this weekend. We will definitely be back.

House was very well appointed and owner very friendly and easy to contact

The Blue Heron Retreat is truly a gem! It’s exactly as pictured and more spacious than expected. Lynnette is an AMAZING host! She was thorough and prompt in her responses to any questions we had leading up to our trip (and during our stay) and she provided great recommendations for things to do, places to eat etc. She even promptly delivered an item that was missing from the listing within minutes of reaching out. Within the home, there’s not anything Lynnette hasn’t thought of providing. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil, gadget, cookware etc. that you could think of; there were ample coffee pods and regular coffee provided; cutlery and dishes that were appropriate for young children; and a lovely bottle of wine and a few snacks there to great us upon arrival. The kids love the foosball table and games, and the adults even tried our hands at one of the puzzles. The house was clean and inviting, beds were comfortable, and there were ample linens provided. The playground and small beach area was lovely and a draw for the kids. The neighborhood is quiet, and folks were friendly as we took a morning walk around the area. We visited Cedar Point for Halloweekends during our stay which is within about 10 minutes or so from the house, you can actually see the amusement park across the lake when standing at the shore of the beach area! Lynnette recommended Beradi’s for breakfast and it did not disappoint, they had a great variety of pancakes! We also had Cameo’s pizza and it was really good and they deliver to the house. We had a fabulous stay and absolutely look forward to staying at the Blue Heron Retreat again in the future!

This was an amazing stay! The property is beautiful and clean, the house was stocked with EVERYTHING you could think of and the manager was outstanding! She was very attentive and helpful. The community was very nice as well. We will definitely be back!

This was an amazing place. Very clean, great amenities, the whole family enjoyed. We ranged from 10 years to 64 years. Very relaxing. Close to cedar point. We can't wait to come back again.

The Huron cottage was wonderfully updated property that did a great job of creating a modern, open floor plan entertaining centric property. A nice little playground and a protected cove with sandy beach completed a perfect little location.
