Great location and nice place

My husband stayed for a long weekend. We loved that it was a 1-2 minute drive to the casino (you could easily walk; it would only take 10 minutes or so, but it was cold) and 20-30 minutes to Bryson City and Maggie Valley. It was very easy to check in and out. I highly recommend staying if you are looking for a place in Cherokee. The cottage is much cuter in person than what is shown in the pictures.

I really enjoy my sray there. The house is lovely. And very close to the casino.

Needs a hair dryer Odd smell think it was like a musty scent It must not have been rented for a while I loved all the outdoor spaces the porches were awesome

The house was set up more for a weekend stay, not a long stay. Needed more items for food prep and storage. There was no oven mitts or hot pads. Two dish towels is not sufficient when staying 27 days.The internet was almost nonexistent. It was so bad you could not use the tv because it was Roku.It was overall comfortable but would not stay there again.There was no cleaning supplies. Only a small broom and dustpan. No mop, bucket or cleaning cloths. Some antiseptic wipes and dish soap.The cottage could use a good cleaning. I wore socks the first day and the floors were really dirty with no means to clean. Windows needed cleaning. I requested cleaning supplies 3 times, but was never delivered.

Property was great. Location perfect as we were playing in the WSOP. 7 min walk to the poker room. Only recommendation is the beds need mattress pads. The mattresses are old and not very comfortable. Over all we loved the place and will book it again next year.

Cherokee hotels are very costly and most are very outdated and dirty! We go often to this area this place has a perfect location and it’s clean! You’ll be happy staying here for the same costs of the cramped musty hotels in the area! Only issue we had was the beds they need new mattresses they are super hard and slump. We loved our stay here for Christmas 🎄

The location of this property was very convenient to the hikes we had planned. Also, the house was very clean. A few things could be improved, blackout curtains are needed in the master bedroom. The street light kept the bedroom very bright all night. Also, the beds are super hard, if you like a very firm mattress this is the place for you, its like sleeping on the floor.

Poppy's cottage is a perfect location, short drive to surrounding towns, inside was nicely decorated and very clean. Outside beautiful landscape but back deck and porch needed some attention, could tell the back deck and furniture had not to cleaned in months. Definitely reccomend this property.

The cottage is centrally located, near the casinos and close to the main street. It is tastefully decorated; the beds are comfortable, and it is very spacious. There is good Wi-Fi service and the TVs work perfectly. It is nicer in person than in the pictures on this site. Unfortunately, we had two issues that were not emergent but did not get resolved. The master bathroom tub/shower was not draining properly which allowed water to pool in the tub. Also, the outdoor areas were very dirty of dust and bird droppings which appeared to have been there for a while. I cleaned the rocking chairs on the porch so we could use them but for the other items, I called the management company on Saturday morning, the day after our arrival, to report them and request resolution. I was advised that the earliest they could resolve these for us was Monday, the day prior to our departure. Monday came and went, and no one ever contacted us for follow-up or resolution. This is our first experience renting from a management company rather that from the owner directly. They are not shy about charging a host fee, however. There is a reason this site is for Vacation Rentals By Owner; when you rent from an owner you get better service. That has been my experience. I will avoid management companies in the future.

Would definitely book this property again. Very quiet and will kept place. Everything was as expected and even more.

The house was in a very convient location (next to the Casino). It was clean, new, and had everything we needed for a short stay. The check in was very easy, which was nice because we didn’t know exactly when we would arrive. Great experience, highly recommend if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to Harrahs!
