Our family of six, ages ranging from infant to grandparent, enjoyed our 5 night stay here! The house was clean and well stocked. Plenty of room for all of us! It was great to have a crib as we didn't need to haul our pack and play. The room with the crib does not allow for great temperature control for various reasons, but it did not seem to bother our little one. Just something to keep in mind. We always bring a couple of box fans, so that helped with air flow. The hosts were super friendly and communicated promptly - no issues just general discussion. The location is superb. We walked downtown frequently, and it's a quick and easy drive to the main attractions, as well as those off the beaten path. We would return!

We had a great stay. Very clean and nice house. Went for a morning run by the water. Ate dinner outside by the water at Pompeyos.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The hosts were very easy to work with and quick to respond. The home is beautifully decorated and very clean. The location to the beach is great and it was just a 25 minute drive to visit the Rockport State Recreation Area for fossil hunting. A great stay.

We had such a fantastic stay! The home is fresh, clean, and close to everything. Honestly, I have no complaints and would encourage anyone to visit this property when in Alpena. 10/10. Perfection.

This home was beautiful! There were six of us women that stayed here for our VFW State pool tournament. So much room for us all and two bathrooms was great. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I wanted to get away for awhile to relax and look for fossils. The home was very clean and the owners thought of everything. If you forgot something, they probably had it available in the house. Communication was top notch and again really appreciate the attention to details.

We had a great stay over a holiday weekend. This house was great with small kids (assuming they can navigate stairs safely) with lots of games, books, and new toya to play with. Having a nursery with a crib was a huge plus because we didn’t have to bring a pack & play! Plenty of space when family came over for dinner & a movie.

Great house within walking distance to downtown Alpena. Family of 6 stayed here for an extended weekend while visiting Rockport and seeing the fall colors. House was clean and had everything we needed. The communication with the host was excellent. Would definitely recommend!!

Everything went smooth and this place was perfect for a friends getaway! Nice upgrades and all the small details were covered. Great location and short walk to downtown. Clean and quaint! We will be back and you can book with confidence.

Great place to stay in town. Could walk to downtown! Very clean and comfy home. Relaxing feel to the place. Jennie thinks of every detail to make our stay complete. So close to downtown shopping. Quiet neighborhood. Loved the house and the décor. Would definitely stay again.

The property was very clean and the location was great with a short walk to downtown and the beach/parks. I traveled with my 11 month son so it was great to have a crib in one of the rooms!

Our son got married this weekend. This place was centrally located to everywhere we needed to go. We couldn’t have found a better house. It was amazing. So clean and well decorated. Had everything we needed to make our stay more enjoyable. I would recommend this house to everyone. The hosts response time to any questions is almost immediate. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Made the wedding weekend a little more perfect.

This is my favorite VRBO home yet! Very well appointed home and decorated so nice. Everything was great quality, super clean, and lots of extras--lamps with charging ports, extra blankets, fans in bedrooms, snacks etc. Neighborhood was quiet and nice to walk around and see the unique homes (and to get some ice cream downtown!) If I ever return to the Alpena area, would definitely stay here again!

Our family of four stayed here for a long weekend to visit family for a wedding. The property was very clean and comfortable. It was exactly as described. We were very close to everything which was super convenient. Communication with the owners was great. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to others.

Four friends from PA and OH came to Alpena, MI to spend time together away from the stresses of daily demands and work. We picked Alpena as we share the hobby of rock hounding and love beaches. This area provides all of that. The rental is close to everything and in a lovely town, providing most all of our needs. The only things wished for were a washer/dryer and air. Regardless, we already talk of the next trip to this beautiful home and area.

Very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated house, in a quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable couch with cozy throw blankets. Nicely located for exploring the area. We went to Ocqueoc Falls, the limestone quarry at Rogers City, Rockport State Park, browsed the shops in Alpena, and saw the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center and Besser Museum.

My husband and his bowling team were in Alpena for a bowling tournament. They said the house was very well renovated, clean, plenty of space and loved the kitchen! They were even excited to go grocery shopping to “cook at home” while they were there instead of going out every night because it didn’t feel like a hotel at all. Will probably book again if it’s available for tournament next year!

The home was easy to find and clean and well stocked when we arrived. The owner/manager was very responsive to any questions prior to arrival. The neighborhood is quite and inviting. Just FYI, while the listing says 5 beds, if you have three couples, you should know only two of them are double beds or larger. The rest are twins or a crib. My wife and I haven't slept on a twin bed together for over 28 years and we soon found out why (and I am 6'4" tall)! This was our fault and not the fault of the owner, we just didn't catch on through the listing.

We were in town for a hockey tournament. The house was a few minutes from the rink. The house is in great shape and well decorated. It felt like staying at a friends house. We had plenty of room to relax between games. Check in/out was super easy and the property manager was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely check here first when we come back to the area.

This home is beautifully renovated and pristinely clean! It is in a safe neighborhood close to downtown, beaches, parks, and Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The hosts are easy to communicate with and incredibly kind. If we return to Alpena, we will definitely stay here again!

Jennie's property is exactly as seen in the listing. It's beautiful and spotless. Everyone in our group loved it and would definitely stay again. I only mention this as an FYI: the microwave sits higher above the stove than most microwaves so may be harder to use for someone around 5ft or under. But that doesn't in any way make this gem of a place less appealing. It is very spacious and feels brand new. Very comfortable and close to downtown. This place is decorated perfectly. You will love it!

Great location, 5 minute walk to beautiful Lake Huron, parks, Marina and downtown. Home is nestled in a charming community, friendly neighborhood with sidewalks for safe walking to the lake and parks. Home is beautifully decorated and fully equipped with anything you might need. Easy drive up and down M23 to many parks, lighthouses and historical destinations. Homeowner was accommodating and provided helpful info. Perfect short getaway and would definitely stay again when visiting Alpena area.

House was very lovely and inviting. I found I was pleasantly surprised by some of the amenities that were included that I had not expected (coffee/hot cocoa, paper plates/condiments etc.). The home is 2 minutes from Lake Huron and close to so many local restaurants/grocery stores (Meijer and Walmart). There is a large playground/splash pad right by the water which is great for kids. The only downside was not having a washer/dryer available which was a tad difficult with going to the beach multiple times with no way to easily wash/dry the beachwear.
All in all the home was great and worked perfectly for our family!

This property is the perfect location for everything Alpena has to offer! This was our first time staying at a vacation rental and it was amazing. We are used to either overpaying for a cramped hotel room or trying to stay with family. It was so nice to have our own space on this trip that was our "home base" we could return to at our leisure.
The house itself is perfectly updated and looks exactly like the listing photos. All of the amenities were new and worked well. I was surprised at how quickly the water heated up in the bathrooms!
I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a place to stay that is close to all Alpena has to offer.
