The property generally was about average. Rooms were comfortable and mostly clean. The property however is showing its age. Furniture is dates and in some cases worn, carpets are showing wear, and the pain colors remind one of a prison cell. I would stay there again but not for more than $150 a night.

Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There's many shopping and dining options walkable within a few blocks. A fun part of town.

I needed accommodation near the railroad and I’m pleased I chose the Hilton. The staff, especially the men who help with storing luggage, were friendly and kind. My room was spacious and clean, something I was grateful for as I’d heard mixed reviews. I ate in Bruin’s bar and the food was very good and reasonable prices. I’d stay here again if I were visiting Anchorage

Downtown Anchorage is small and the hotel is at walking distance to shops, restaurants, museums and other nice places.

I was traveling for work and I appreciated that the hotel is just 15 minutes from the airport, and how walkable the downtown area is. Compared to bigger city Hiltons, the building is a little run down in some ways but nothing that doesn't just reflect a working, rustic community. All expected amenities (including a comfy bed!) were there and well tended. It felt very comfortable, well cared for and every person was incredibly lovely.

staff was overworked but helpful and professional

Not great. With the exception of the bell hips, staff could careless. Room was shaped in most bizarre way, noisy, dark, lingering cigarette smell, half window with view of a wall. Have stayed at many Hiltons— really great ones. This hotel did not live up to the name and reputation of Hilton.

A one is too generous but there’s no option for zero or negative. Worst hotel experience I’ve had in my life and I have stayed at a lot of hotels, in Anchorage and around the country. Firstly, the room didn’t match the pictures and was very old. Loud noises, outdated bathroom, weird smell in room, brick wall. Felt like an abandoned schoolhouse. But the worst part of the stay just to add to this is that I got DOUBLE CHARGED. I booked through Orbitz and paid over $300. Front desk agent opened a new reservation and I got charged another $278 for a room that was already PAID FOR. Upon checkout agents told me they’d make sure it was taken care of even though they CHARGED MY CARD. Well, the charge went through, it wasn’t taken care of, I’m completely disgusted by this experience. Worst hotel in Anchorage. Find ANYWHERE else to stay. 0/10.

They haven’t a good guest service. It took so long to receive to clean extra towels.

Room condition was poor, heat did not work, floor not level, loud trains.

Horrible room. The first room had a mouse run under the door right in front of me. We had to demand to get moved and they moved us across the hall! Like that mouse couldn’t run 10 more feet into our new room. We had to sleep with a towel under the door. Both rooms were extremely old and run down. They could have moved us to a different floor but I got the feeling they kept the nicer rooms for their Hilton members only. The hot tub was drained and broken. If we weren’t so exhausted we would have left and stayed at a motel. We were just too tired after traveling all day. Oh and it was our anniversary. Was shocked at how bad the stay was.

Convenient to the Alaska Railroad station. In a walkable part of town. Many good restaurants available in the area.

The AC in the room did not work

Staff rushed; room no super clean and old; just not kept up for standards of hilton and price point. Would not recommed to friends.

Tired hotel. Bathroom was recently remodeled, which made the rest of the room look right out of 1967. HVAC did not function. Sad window latch provided a bit of relief. Overwhelmed but friendly staff. Anchorage in general, brutally understaffed.

The property is across from the Alaskan Train Station, trains run until1am and start back up at 6am. The air/ heat did not work in the room- no one fixed it and we weren’t allowed to move rooms. Room service brought the wrong breakfast/ when they replaced it the eggs were not cooked- eggs whites left runny. Neighbors in an adjoining room kept trying to open our door and come into our room. Hilton customer service was not helpful at all.

The stay was fine. Sucked that they would t let me check in until exactly 4:00 or after. I get that I arrived at 12:00. But when I show back up at 3:45 and still have to wait, that’s kinda egregious. Sorry but there is only so much sitting around waiting a person can do.

If you like being woken up all night by loud (train?) horns, idling buses, and by loud patrons at the bar(s) across the street then this is the place for you. There is a $25 fee for parking next to the homeless camps across the street as well. As a bonus my daughter and I saw a man urinating on a house next to the parking lot. Cross your fingers your car doesn’t get broken into and hide any valuables.
