The hotel is very dated. Standing water on balcony, had to scoop water off to use it. There were centipedes crawling around the room. Bed and bathroom were clean.

The Shilo inn usually a great place to stay was very worn and tired looking. In our room the bedside lamp didn’t work properly, the hair dryer didn’t work at all, no tissue in the dispensers. Two bath towels in room that could sleep six, we stayed two nights. One chair at eating nook and on balcony. No coffee in room second day and none at front desk either. Will not stay here again as area hosts many other options for a better price as well. would not recommend this property

First off, I have nothing bad to say about the staff, they are wonderful. Shilo Inn used to be pristine, not so now, things have fallen apart, the bathroom ceiling was leaking and we had to move to another room in the middle of the night. The Restaurant is closed, another victim of the pandemic. For many years we used to enjoy this hotel & restaurant, but the place is falling apart.

The staff we interactive with was nice. We had a nice view of the ocean. All the rooms accept the ones on the first floor have an Ocean view. The first floor is reserved for people with pets The room was a decent size as well as the bathroom. The pool and Hot tub were ok. They need a good cleaning. The Hotel decor is very dated. The location is nice you can walk to the beach. The restaurant and bar were closed but I think its been that way for a bit. We there in the middle of the week and sort of off season.

The hotel is in the best location but unfortunately so many things wrong. The hotel is very run down with little care. Needs updating soooo bad. The restaurant was closed, the rooms where so old and had an oder. The beddinv looked like was the original comforter was so heavy and rough to the touch. They have us 2 pillows 1 each and they where soooo small ans flat didnt even feel like i had a pillow. The one thing i liked bout the rooms was the size they are so big plenty of space in bathroom and a huge vanity out side bathroom. Also our check in time was 4pm we for there and was told wasnt ready yet there where many families also waitin on room to be ready. We had to sit and wait 40min for our room others waited longer. I wouldng stay there again.

The hotel feels like it hasn’t been updated since the late 80s. You also have to ask for towels to be placed in the room (the room comes with zero towels inside it). The shower was dirty with hair all around it. The location is excellent, but that’s about it.

The stuff is friendly I like I enjoyed to view from my balcony

Close to ocean, close to where our kids and grandkids were camping. We had a lovely time.

Right from the start we were told their restaurant wasn’t open because of covid (that was 4 yrs ago). Then there was no maid service for an extended stay. We walked into the room, there was food on the floor, white substance on table and stains on the sheets. We immediately went down and got our money back.

Probably the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The carpets were stained all over and sticky-we wouldn’t even let our kids walk around without shoes on. The beds were lumpy and so uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep. The lights flickered and made electrical noises. The pool was so dirty we didn’t want to swim. The only good thing about this hotel is the walking distance to everything.

Nice place fo stay, clean and friendly

I have been going here the last 4 years. There needs to be some major updates on the property. I wonder what they do in the winter/slow time of the year. The side door was broken, I had to ask for 2 more towels as they gave me pool towels, they only gave us one coffee and one water glass. There was 2 of us. They were out of coffee and when I visited in June for my friends birthday(Stayed at another hotel) They told us that the restaurant was going to be open and it wasn't. They also should have some sort of breakfast or hospitality service. Don't get me wrong. I love this hotel. It just breaks my heart to see it go down hill like it has.

Location of property was excellent. hotel was out dated. definitely needs a remodel. never had enough towels. there was 4 of us and only had 3 bath towels. asked front desk and they only gave us hand towels. had to ask again on our second night stay. restaurant was not open I guess not for years. losing out on income there. I don't think I will be staying there any time soon. Hotel needs a good clean up. Sorry

We have visited this property over the last couple of decades and have unfortunately seen a great decline. There is no restaurant and the facilities have declined in maintenance. It would be great to see this revitalyzed.

Nice views no breakfast

The only thing nice about this hotel is the lobby. They give you 1 towel, 1 wash rag and 1 cup. I had 3 people staying. I wont go back

Needs upgrade

The kid upstairs was running in the room all night. We checked out of there. The hotel is falling apart. The main lobby has several broken tiles with soft spots in the floor. I was careful when walking. We probably won't stay there again.

This property is not managed well, its poorly maintained. While our room was ok, the hotel itself is really run down. At check in we were advised we wouldn't have any cleaning during our 5 night stay. We had to ask for fresh towels. No coffee cups, had to ask for them. They only had one tray of mugs for entire hotel. TP...maid cart had 3 three rolls. Room would be cleaned at check out. Despite huge signs referencing dining, there is no food available on property. For what you pay, this property is way over priced. Operates more like a $89/ night motel. Yes, yes, the view from the 4th floor to the ocean was awesome, but, we've already found the property for our next visit.

We reserved 3 rooms. Each of our rooms had only 2 towels, I wash cloth, no shampoo, conditioner or tissues in the bathrooms. Since each of our rooms had two queen beds I would expect to have 4 towels and wash clothes. Also we only had one coffee cup and two glasses. Since the rooms are set up for 4 people (two queen beds) I assumed the rooms would have been set up to accommodate everyone. Another issue was the deck windows, chairs and floor were covered with bird “poop”. We ere unable to enjoy our decks. We were very pleased with the staff that registered us. Your location is amazingly convenient to the beach and shopping. Your lobby is very inviting.

The property is old and somewhat run down

Restaurant closed since 2019 but still advertised. Badly in need of complete reno. Will stay elsewhere next visit.

Convenient location, safe and quiet. Just needs a lot of interior updates.

Hair and soap all over bathroom. Bathroom looked like it wasn’t even touched from previous guests. Bedding and beds were terrible.

The shilo was very nice and clean

The pool was cold and always closed down. Hot tub and little kids jumping in. Rooms were stuffy because of the half way blocking air conditioning. Had bugs in our room. Our mini fridge barely worked. Old appliances and tvs. They dont tell you the restaurant and lounge is closed until day of. If i go back to ocean shores i would not stay here.

They had no coffee. Not in the room or lobby. Many better places to stay in that town.

The restaurant was closed. The pool was closed. The hotel is in terrible shape. Filthy everywhere. In our room the sink was clogged. They gave us 1 cup and 1 glass. They gave us two old towels. The back door was not cleaned or swept in a very long time. Cig butts everywhere out the back door. The TV in the room was from the 1990's. The list goes on and on. AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!
